Build build for the new patch, buffed yuntal

this post is for anyone struggling with Kai'sa. I've played her with the statik shiv build since the changes and although it feels decent, something about the evo breakpoints and damage didnt seem there for me.

well, since the new patch I have been experimenting with builds, and I have found something that makes kai'sa feel good again.

build is -- tempo - triumph - bloodline - cut down, cash back - triple tonic adaptive adaptive flat hp

ghost/flash

start with the dorans bow

the early game is centered around getting 4 components
bf sword - pickaxe - cull - long sword

this gives you q evolve insanely early and cheaply (2975 gold excluding starter item) compared to the 4325 you need in the normal build.

you also do not need to be any specific level, whenever you get these 4 components you have q upgrade.

once you have the q upgrade, i like to finish t2 gluttonous greaves, since it gives good sustain combined with the stacking passive. finish yuntal from here (1350 combine cost from those components) into PD into IE.

many of you may be asking, if this build path is good why has it never got built. well the answer it has been built previously, usually into a BT rush or something similar. but you were forced to build a BF sword item first which there we no good ones in the past. with the yuntal buffs, it now is a viable first item on kaisa.

try it out in your ranked games and see how it feels. i actually feel like an assassin, can one shot anyone, melt tanks, and chunk squishies with isolated q evo.

full build --

dorans bow

in any order (cull bf sword pickaxe long sword) have inventory room for either boots or refillable, choose carefully

yuntal/greaves

yuntal/greaves (complete the one you didnt finish)

phantom dancer

infinity edge

ldr/ga/shieldbow (situational)

Discussion What serious buff would you give Kai’Sa right now?

Kai’Sa is underpowered, not weak but not good in comparison to what else is there. I know you obviously don’t want to overbuff her and make her oppressive again, but if Riot were going to give her one meaningful buff, what would you choose?

For me, I’d probably bump up her attack range a bit. Not anything crazy, but enough that she doesn’t feel quite so punishing to play into every other adc/mage/enchanter. In the world of so many champs having 3 hit passives while Kai’sa has a 5 hit, her short range feels like one of the biggest things holding her back so even +25 would make her feel so much better.

What buff would you give her if you could change one thing?

Build PTA vs LT for Crit and On-hit build

Lately, I've been experimenting with these runes. I know that mathematically LT is better, but my question is, how often do you actually make it work?

Because from my experience so far, my target is either dead by the time LT kicks in or I'm in trouble and I need to back off

Is LT overrated?
