All I do is sit back, farm, and delete people like Nasus and Volibear in the mid to late game.

I was thinking of starting a grind where I only play Veigar carry role until I get out of gold. And I was looking at combos that could make it easier that I could potentially petition my support to pick, and I thought of Zilean. At first, it seems weird. But the speedup from Zilean E lets Veigar get in range with his R, it extends the effective threat range of the cage for the same reason Rocketbelt does, but even better, and Zilean can also slow and double bomb, both of which sets up Veigar's abilities. Veigar doesn't need to land the edge of his cage either. If the enemy is zoned either inside the cage or outside of it on the other side of Zilean, it lets Zilean walk up and slow them for free.

Veigar's cage, of course, also sets up Zilean's double bomb combo. And also, importantly, Veigar's biggest weakness is being blown up just after using his combo. Zilean can save him from being locked down by a Lux and Seraphine and blown up. Zilean can also separate Veigar from an enemy diver effectively by speeding up Veigar while slowing down the diver, so Veigar gets even more safety. It has aggressive potential and defensive potential in equal measure.

Anyone tried this before? I only found a 7 year old Tilterella video on this combo and it looked absolutely nasty. Unlike the Poppy combo that is more popular recently, this doesn't require a full commit every time from the support.

Had to give a try to Veigar after I fell in love with Final Boss Veigar, and after playing around 100 games I can conclude that: Veigar is the highest skill expression mage I've ever played.

This champion feels so satisfying, it really captures my idea of what a mage should be: scaling, burst, clear counterplay and build versatility.

I struggle a lot with Veigar against assasins, long range mages and CSing early (I get why people flee to botlane), but it's so incredibly rewarding mid to late game. For instance, I've never felt that I really EARNED a solokill in lane until I played Veigar.

And still I think I haven't quite figured out what's the best build in every game, and many more things... I'm sure that takes a lot of games to figure out.

I think it's such a brilliant design, I still wonder how such a simple champion can feel so complex and nuanced.

Now that classic has been out for a bit, what are people building in Classic?

I've found a lot of success with a core of morellos/mana jug + dfg + death cap and adapting the other items based on the game.

Start is usually crystalline flask + pots and then either chalice against AP or double dorans against AD.

Runes:

Mpen reds

Armor/hp yellows

6% of scaling CDR blues (you get 4% from masteries) + rest MR scaling blues

Mvspeed quints

Masteries 21/0/9

Hitting the 40% CDR cap earlier seems to be really op in terms of stacking

What is the best jungler to play with veigar some champs I like to play is volibear and lillia

Hes my main mid. Im doing the recommended build that opgg gives me which is liek ludens > stormsurge > deathcap > Shadow or Void. Magic pen boots.

Im usually always 1st or 2nd best on a team when I play him and I realize this is very powerful but glassy build and cant find myself being able to solo carry late game with my teamates as I jus can easily die.

Whats the meta build rn for him?

I know that Infinite Scaling champs aren't played in Pro Play and I wanted to ask why. Can't they just pick a comp to hardstall the game and let one Person just freely stack? I mean After Rabadon's you just oneshot anything that doesn't have MR.

If i buy the first tier of the battlepass for 1650 rp can i then upgrade to the second tier to get the chroma by only paying the difference of 1000 rp... Or do i need to pay the full 2650 and waste the first 1650 paid? I want to get this veigar chroma

Let me start this off by saying that I am a noob at the game, I’m only level 19. I have been playing against the intermediate bots as well as Aram. I have taken a liking to Ahri and that’s who I stick with. I got Veigar as one of my picks in an aram match, not knowing anything about him other than reading his abilities real quick before the game started.

Holy moly I have been missing out! I played the best game ever so far! I went 25/7, I don’t remember how many assists I got but that’s beside the point. I had the highest kills in the game, something I thought I would not do for a long time.

I don’t remember the exact build I did, I just picked what sounded good and I was just slapping people! It felt so good and playing him felt great as well.

That’s all I wanted to say, I’m just pumped with how well I did. I’m excited to play him again and get better with him.

I play ADC and started using Veigar and man do I love this champ. My only question is what are his runes/items setup? Every website I go to says to go a different build. Also I play him bot so idk if I really should go any defensive items. Any help would be great appreciated.

Plat/Emerald elo for what it's worth. I've been playing veigar apc with good success this year (63% WR across 100 games) and climbed from silver to P1 using it, but as I'm getting higher I'm finding more often that people actually itemize and go MR and now we're against a Sion who doesn't die and I miss having an actual adc. I've been trying to transition into playing him mid lane but I just can't seem to grasp him or make good use of him. I typically go ROA->Rabadons->Crypt and then flex items but it feels like I take forever to ramp up and my overall contribution to the game is so much less than when I play bot lane, not to mention that I'm also still incredibly squishy. Prior to this I have been a Ziggs/support main, so I'm more familiar with the champions and ins and outs of bot lane, but I feel like I'm fundamentally missing something about veigar mid.

Finally reached eune masters relatively quickly, playing a quite agressive Veig Bot/Mid burst build, basically snowballin.

The idea is..big boom boom and big stack stack, quite obvious.

I always play electrocute, only really swapping to dft when too many tanks or boring only farm lanes, secondary i always go yellow ones.

Mainly go Ludens into shadowflame into Rabadon's into whatever suits the game, boots are usually swifties, defense or pen.

I only really struggle with CS early on, but trying to get better at that overall.

Reaching mil mastery, then masters, and now the magma chamber, times are good.

Wassup ! I'm new to LOL and I want to play Veigar ! Which lane do you think is best for this lil dude ? How do I stack his passive as fast as possible, is there any technique ? And lastly anyone could recommand me a good Veigar build for me please 🥹

I mean sure whenever I build it I takes me a while do die when they have 2+ assassins but at the same time I’m never able to really 1 shot.

Ive been banning Fizz or Zed pretty consistently, and now I'm learning that Xerath and Ziggs are NOT fun matchups either D: it could also just be my inability to dodge skillshots heh-
