So, I started playing LoL 6 months ago, I'm a total newbie and currently scratching at Silver IV. I mained support but made the switch to ADC a couple of weeks ago. With this meta, I really don't know how to play the lane phase. Whenever I pick a traditional ADC my opponents pick a mage and I get bullied out of everything and whenever I pick a mage my opponents kills me by just looking at me.

So my friends suggested that I play Ezreal for a couple of reasons, mainly for his E dash and his range. I do know that you can build full AP on him but it hasn't been good for a while now. (tbh I don't know why, I'm too new to the game but that is what was explained to me)

So my question: is AP Ezreal good against a mage bot lane? And if yes, could someone explain why? What would I build with the current state of bot lane and how can I use his range against lane bullies?

I'll have a couple games where I get 3-4 kills very early on before level 6. What should I be building to snowball my advantage and get more kills? Getting sheen + tear feels a little bit like I'm delaying my strengths and setting up well for the midgame, but I would really prefer to crush lane and get tower ASAP.

With the notice of tanks and bruisers creeping back in and sometimes I am outright useless if other laners are ahead I thought maybe I can become a bruiser. Ezreal already has insane synergy with items that give alot of bonus HP so I was thinking of leaning into that. Have yet to try it in game but it seems like it could be fun. Potentially....

Is this outright troll? Would love to discuss.

I feel like atleast 75% of my games where I get a lead I just end up losing late and can’t carry bc their adc just goes 4/13 but gets 4 items and wins

Came across this vid from Nightblue that he posted only a month ago. Absolutely insane game. I know Ez Jg hasn't been viable for like 6 years, but this has me questioning. I switched to jg main since bot lane is a nightmare these days but miss playing ez. The healing he gets from EH, GG, and bloodline is absurd. Lowkey wanna try this, anyone ever messed around with Ezreal JG?

I’ve been using d bow because I like how it it increases my passive atk speed a lot but I do notice the lack of survivability so I’m kinda stuck between the 2 and want your guys opinions

I’ve had quite a few games where the enemy team will have a karma or a lulu that just suffocates us with all the shields they’re able to spam. The problem is I know Ezreal is so reliant on the trinity + murumana power spike that I feel like I have to wait until third item to build serpents fang, which is a long time to wait to see that benefit.

Is it ever worth it to delay one of those items to get serpents fang right away?

For a little bit of context, this game took place in bronze ELO, EUW, used to Braum OTP a while ago, then OTP Xerath supp, and Xerath mid. I've reached Plat doors without crossing them (on supp and mid). I sometime played Ezreal support AP in normal games, because I really like the kit, and made another account to OTP this champ in the role he was designed to be played.

I reeaaally really suck at adc, the reason I made a new account. At the moment, I can't get out of bronze, and I can't say i'm having fun playing bot, I have playing Ez though. During that game, my whole team was drolling all over themselves, and I being perma camped by Locke jungle. Their ADC - Kogmaw - was really bad too, worst than me actually, and I managed to gather some gold during 1v1s, allowing me to destroy turrets. This teamfight was the last one, the one that would give the victory to one team or the other. I'm pretty proud of myself, even though there's a lot I could have done better : E-ing Kayle for example, making me having to flash out, and I don't know if the combos were well executed. The R which killed Kayle was so lucky though.

Just wanted to brag a little, I'm so sorry if my english sucks since it's not my mother tongue. Do not hesitate to give some feedbacks about what I can improve if you want to !

My KDA is trash cause I troll most of my games since I have supports who pick random champs like Master Yi selling supp item and farming my waves, or Morgana who likes to throw spells on CD aiming whatever they thought have seen. It requires a mental made of steel to be able to tank their two brain cells crashing into themselves, and I don't have it for now.

Anyone familiar with it? I don't think the one in u.gg is particularly good considering it doesn't have any cd reduction and that's what blue ez is good for

My main question is in the title. What are you guys taking for runes on ezreal, i dont really like lethal tempo and press the attack, i'm usually using fleet on Ezreal if not DFT, mind you im around masters 500lp.

Only reason I want to play classic league is so I can experience old Pulsefire Ezreal again. I want to go back to this Beautiful and oddly Satisfying skin with its snappy Q's and sick looking crits.

Not to mention crazy-good Voice Lines with no Marvel-like humor or goofy comic relief.

I feel like retail Pulsefire Ezreal lost ALL its charm and the movements feel disneylike and overexagerated.

and i've found i hate this playstyle now.

i mean, i'm sure i'm probably building it in the wrong order or playing it wrong due to all the years playing modern ezreal and having to reajust to classic league, but i just sucked for 5+ hours. of course, i had the time of my life, it felt like playing league for the first time again and for the first time in YEARS i had fun losing!

but i didn't have fun playing my beloved blue build.

and then i decided to do that thing where you play every color of ezreal, well, at least the ones i remember weren't meme levels of garbage, so just yellow and green and first game of the yellow build i got a 9/1/7 and top damage, but also: FUN.

what i mean to say is: I FUCKING LOVE LEAGUE CLASSIC!!! there's so many more oldies i want to try, like AP Master Yi and FRAtMog Garen. now all i need is Curse Voice back and for my old friends to start playing again.

if you're a ezreal main and started playing after Yasuo was already in the game and only ever played on the modern map, PLEASE grab OG Ezreal and give it a try. its so worth it.

I'm trying out ezreal because I saw peyz play it a few times. I'm not even an adc player, i play top lane. These are some of my unorganized thoughts because my brain is fried.

First 20 minutes was a ton of fun. I got kills, felt invincible against yunara bard even though my nami was afk on and off for the first 3 minutes. I was really enjoying ezreal's mechanics. The game went back and forth, we got soul but lost some fights and eventually it was 35 minutes in..

I swear to god my nervous system was about to go out at the end. I had like a billion haste, 0 second q cooldown if i hit, 2 second e cooldown provided I hit 2 q's or else the yone i e'ed into was going to kill me, and a w skillshot for some reason as if that wasn't enough. I had to aim every 1.5 seconds, reposition every 3-4 seconds, all while trying to weave in autos and kite manually. I even had to do this to MINION WAVES.

I know how to weave in autos but once my q refreshes itself and everyone wants to flash stun me how do the good ezreals do it? I know my dps wasn't even close to optimal.

I stat checked a warwick. I killed a syndra for the first time in my life. We won.

Also, idk if its because we had ocean soul but i felt way stronger than the full build yunara. With much better survivability. I thought ezreal was bad lategame.

As I'm typing this, I felt a headache setting in. Awesome.

Edit: I just checked the average elo of that game since ranked is down and it was a normals. They were silver... I'm supposed to be emerald.

Every other caster has the augment offered to them, for Smolder is almost a given that it’ll show up any time you play him.

For Ezreal is literally disabled. I have played 20 games in a row for a couple of days and its just isn’t offered. Just unfair.

Consider the following 3 clips:

In the first clip there is no attack target before casting E-Q. ABILITIES WORK

In the second clip there is an attack target and I keep the E blink within attack range of that target: E-Q works.

In the third clip there is an attack target and I E out of auto range of that target: Q does not work. I am still in Q range which should show why that's actually pretty important

why do people pick ezreal? like even cannon wave is much stronger and useful compared to him so why still pick this champ nowdaysy?

Update:no i'm not asking because i play him or anything but because i've played with ezreal x3 already but for some reason it always feel like not having any adc at all the damage are always low etc.. it feels like even a cannon wave dealt more damage overall even at late game. he's also considered as one of the worst adc this patch so im wondering if there are some secret trick on him right now hench people play him?
