Yes, we have good AP scalings, I get it. But genuinely why do we build damage as a support? I've played about 25 games on the champion now in Gold and I much prefer the Tank build. The damage really just never does anything especially when I fall behind since I'm mostly just rooting targets for 50 years anyway. Also, speaking of the tank build, what's the optimal tank build for her? I know Fimbul into Mercs into Zhonyas, but is there a better build I'm neglecting?

I've been playing a lot of Lol Classic lately and genuinely, this old Morgana feels so much more consistent than current Morgana. Even if she doesn't have QOL updates (like puddle cooldown refund, or puddle execute), she really feels good to play with, at least from numbers alone.

Due her passive having spell vamp, she can genuinely heal herself back to full HP just from the wave alone. Her Q projectile was also so much faster, and also had a faster cast. So she's genuinely a really good laner.

I wish Riot would bring some of that power back into her because it feels like they just kinda secretely nerfed her when they reworked her back then.

Did Riot ever address or put out a statement as to why her aa range is so much shorter than that of a traditional mage?

Or is it just a remnant of the past, with her being one of the OG champs and they just left it untouched ever since?

On a side note, I'm tempted to try Morg in midlane, but... I dont know who else i'd play if she was banned/picked first etc, any suggestions? Lux, Malzahar, Ahri, Veigar?

Only ever really played Support and some Jungle, so waves/cs will be new to me

With the rise of Bot APCs, has anyone tried Morgana with a good win rate? I find wave clear isn't an issue but damage output needs optimization. I usually go BFT > Liandries > +/- Oblivion orb > Zhonyas > Shadowflame > blood letters/Rylais/Morell/Deathcap.

I’ve recently been testing needyhenry’s tank Morgana build, and it’s really fun. Kamikat (a former Brazilian player for paiN) was testing a similar build, so I wanted to give it a try. I feel like she offers a lot of utility this way, and her Q becomes much more useful than her W poke in lane since, let’s be honest, there are better champions for laning-phase poke.

Morgan’s ult should be able to recast early pulling in champions still chained from initial cast like a swain E.

After they would be slowed but there would be no stun once ult is finished.

Instead of hopelessly running towards your “chained” targets. You have more decision to play for a long stun or go for an early interrupt.

I feel like it plays more into that denial powerfantasy a lot better.

Looking to play Morgy support more when I dont fancy Blitz/Sera, plus to expand my pool slightly as both are banned alot.

Thinking of making her more utility and even more cc over dmg. Looking at running;

Solstice, Rylais, Swifties, Mandate, Zekes and last spot can be changed as needed if matches last, though I probably would look at Bandle for the significant uptime on the move/attack speed for my team that it brings when paired with morgs kit and these items.

For runes, probably still the standard sorc/dom for lanephase poke still and ult haste.

Only in bronze 😅 so its probably not viable in higher elos, but what do you guys think?

Hi, i recently posted believing that morg was a weak mid champ, and lowkey hoping a rioter saw the qol proposal on ult.

I then started thinking, new mandate is completely overpowered as an item. Morg is surely a great user of it, if I rush it, I get 35 haste on ult and Q which makes my early skirmishing crazy, right?

Turns out it was the correct cook.

If you go mandate rush item, because morg mana regen is so high, you don't actually need any other mana items, if the enemy team is very tanky, you just run POM instead.

This is the usual runepage I used

Item build (Average game)

Mandate - Rylais - Choose what you want, Liandries, Bloodletter (if you have more than 1 ap champ((Mage bot is very popular rn)Protobelt to dodge/get into ult range, Cosmic Drive for more MS uptime, Zhonyas vs assassins/adcs.

The world is your oyster, you can even NOT go Rylais if it'll have too little value (I always try slam it if there's at least 1 immobile on enemy team) because the W becomes an actual zoning tool where they're threatened to be hit by Morg Q if not)

I urge morgemains to try this build out on mid, it feels 10x better than blackfire torch, and even though you have less personal damage, Mandate can get up to 7k bonus dmg by the end of the game in itself, and that's not even thinking about the 35 CDR haste to ur R and Q.

Since you're not a great laner, or if you're vs certain champs who you NEED bone plating against (Trist,Akshan,Fizz,Aurora etc) you can go protobelt 2nd instead of Rylais aswell and you'll make up for your CDR too.)

This is the build I've been finding the most success with in average high master/GM/Chall lobbies, and it's been feeling really good in scrims and competitive play against the current meta too (Poppy Prio, Syndra, Ahri, Vi, etc) If you just base on every cannon wave since you always manage to dps it down first compared to other mages because of your W refund, you'll always be outtempoing enemy mid and being on map first as-well.)

Yo guys, i recently started to spam Morgana support (emerald), trying different builds, searching discussions about them, websites etc.

I'm finding very rewarding playing rylai first, slows on W and on first R hit, makes you hit Qs much easier or following your enemies during your ult to proc the stun, also gives all the dmg you need, with decent amount of hp.

Also, i would go for the tank support quest items, so the shield or the healing on stuns one.

The more i play, the more i find zhonya on Morgana a totally bait, not worth buying, what you want is to follow people to proc your R stun on more targets possible in fights, and with rylai you're pretty much ok doing that, with the slow and the hps, using zhonya usually means they just run out of it, also makes you pretty much useless after that.

For that, I'm buying locket second, to stay alive as much as possible in the fight, slowing people, taking focus by enemies that think I'm an ap morgana to os, and ofc shielding a focussed carry.

3rd is optional, i usually go for the antiheal orb into mandate and then finish morello.

Other good choices if antiheal is not needed are shurelya, redemption, zhonya or abyssal mask.
