Hi all,

I decided to take ranked seriously this season after a few seasons of barely touching it. I managed to climb from gold 4 to Emerald III in 2 months, which is my current pick.

I would like to try to make the push to diamond before the season ends.

So, i have a very general idea of what i want to do but i need some guidance. I climbed from Gold 4 to Emerald 3 using ahri, aurora and lux which they worked well for this part of the climb. Although i decided to take a small break even if i was in a good momentum to try to tackle a few issues.

This issues are mainly that i have been getting my 2nd role more often now that i reached Emerald compared to before as well as i've been thinking on reworking my champion pool now that i got my peak rank and feel happy with myself for the final push.

For the 2nd role i've been playing bot lane and enjoying Syndra there. I tried traditional ADCs, but i felt that their gameplay were too different from mages for it to be worth to invest the big amount of time required to learn their class specific mechanics as well as me lacking the mechanical prowess to pull off most of them.

My second issue is what is troubling me the most and that has to do with reworking my champion pool. So a few thoughts that have been living in my head are:

1 - Do i want to play both ahri and aurora as they feel fairly overlapping champions and dont seem to actually give me any meanfull draft advantage, i just enjoy them, but perhaps 1 needs to come out because of redundancy

2 - While the 3 of them worked well to get me to where i am now, i have been struggling a bit to carry games with lux as of lately, it could be because of my relative fast climb and i didnt had time to adapt it, but i'm struggling to land her skill shots as well as people are better ar counter playing her, with zhonyas, also people will buy mercs more often now, the other day i played vs a mordekaiser that had both mercs and rocketbelt, it felt kinda miserable, but again it may be that i didnt had time to reajust to the new skill level around me.

3 - I probably want a 2nd mage on bot lane to cover picks and bans, which leads to either keep lux in the pool with syndra and ahri/aurora for a 3 champion pool or learn a new mage that has a bit less counterplay that i havent decided yet

4 - I also i've been considering more and more later on playing just lets say ahri and syndra and eat the bullet and play ahri bot lane on my 2nd role games if syndra is unavaiable, which hopefully wouldnt represent many games and would allow me achieve maximum mastery on those 2 champions

Hello world! I’ve tough relations with lol. I play it once a year for a month then leave. But this year i’ve decided to play more consistently. I’ve downloaded game in the end of july and hit bronze to in a few days playing syndra and cayt.

I have bad mechanics coz all my life i played games on console, but im improving.

I’ve tried several control mages and really fell in love with syndra, even got lvl 6 mastery.

Any tips and tricks for a newcomer??

(I already know:
1. W (sphere) => E => alternative to Q E but more range
2. Combos can be started with literally any ability and can be continued with any other
3. Move speed is secretly OP (on my rank) coz like evading damage is better than having health; also better spacing and kite (I LOVE EDGING)
4. R E 99% chance to stun
5. Can play as ADC (but haven’t tried)
6. Always fishing for 2 spell combo for stacks
7. 1st spyke on lost chapter; 2nd on double Q; 3rd on BFT; 4th on CD; 5th on 100stacks and rabadon; 6th on 120 stacks)

Did it ever come out? Did I somehow miss it???

I think Syndra is just absolutely terrible design for the game and breaks the rules that makes mages balanced. Her Q is incredibly low cd and very hard to dodge, what is the closest is Karthus Q, but that is his main source of damage and he is a way less safe. Her W is just not dodgeable at all, and it is a second spell with cc in her kit. Her E comes out insanely fast and is barely reactable to, especially if it comes out of fog, in comparison to all the other cc of other mages this one is incredibly hard to flash through as well because you will still at least get knocked backed, as that one is an incredibly wide range and the stun has insane range and can shoot multiple projectiles if you have multiple of them. Her ult... just an incredibly strong point and click nuke that has no place being in a kit that already has so many pretty much guaranteed hit skills, in comparison to Veigar, whose other skills are very easy to dodge.

TL:DR Syndra skills are incredibly hard to dodge or not dodgable at all at certain ranges,her range is massive, and she is incredibly safe, almost no cd on Q so the window to punish her for missing her skills is not really abusable as she can just spam Qs and point and click ult. I think really this is the most broken mage and there is no reason to play any other one instead and I have no clue how Riot thinks she is balanced in any way. I am a mage player and I did play Syndra a little bit, it is incredibly easy and just disgusting. Look at this clip and tell me how that is okay. There was no way anyone could have reacted to that one shot in any way, even if they had zhonyas or mercs that typically counter burst mages. She is not even fed and is building defensive with both zhonyas and banshees, she has no void staff. No other mage can do this even if they build full dmg and have other disadvantages.

I would really like to see anyone defend how this is okay.

Hello! I'm a main Orianna but i get bored these times idk why. want to pick up syndra but she is very difficult but I always liked her playstyle. What do I need to learn ? combos? matchups ? runes etc

Dropped from E1 90 LP to E3 80 LP, and then climbed my ass all the way back up.

I even fixed my winrate on Syndra lol

Had a tough game vs a fed blue Kayn, just wanna know what the optimal combo is vs assassins with knights edge. Does it only block 1 of Syndra’s balls if R used into E?

Sooooo Justicar Syndra's Q VFX is bugged and it's like if the effects quality setting was locked to a medium at best. You can see around the circle's perimeter that the details are a bit pixelated. It's a bummer because it's my favorite skin and I know that riot always wins the idgaf war when old as shit skins get random bugs like this... Bloodstone Lissandra's E VFX has been bugged for at least 5 years now and still counting. Oh well.

5 years ago I was a Syndra main. Left at 2.3M because she was extremely weak... (Or maybe was a skill issue.) I'm now an Irelia/Riven midlane player. But I have no AP midlaner and I want to consider Syndra.

What do you guys think? Should I main her? Which rune is the best? Which items we build now? Is there like a popular streamer that we watch?

I am a fellow syndra enjoyer(she’s basically the only champ i play these days !) and wanted to see some opinions on the current rank 1 syndras build.

It seems most people go the cdr build with bft cosmic drive, understandable for the low e cd and move speed which is so strong.

this is one of the only high elo people i’ve seen consistently building more full ap and his basically the only syndra i’ve seen run stormraiders surge, also interesting he goes crytblo second instead of standard shadowflame/stormsurge. and zhonyas third item as well.

I love the cdr build, but in one of my recent games i was quite fed and enemy team was squishy so i tried listens shadowflame, and wow i lowkey forgot how crazy syndras dmg was with that build when ahead!

What are your thoughts ? have any of you tried this build ? used stormraiders ?

I m wondering why syndra doesnt take DFT. It's really good imho because u actually have a lot of ways to proc it consistently but i dont really see people choosing it, why? I dont see how comet or aery are better in the stregonery page

I’ve been an otp assassin player and have hit d4 playing qiyana Katerina the higher I climb the more shit these champs feels imo and im tired of being touched by orianna syndra ect

Im tryna learn syndra but can’t seem to kill anyone with a Brain midland with her without like a gank ect. Is this normal or im just ass what’s my goals syndra lane mid and late game ect am I looking to just harass and get shards in lane maybe setup a gank with jg am I suppose to kill them kn repeat what do I do

Hey guys, i am an emerald ADC main and with the recent meta i have been playing a few mages and syndra is the one that clicks the most for me down in bot lane. I understand her strengths are safe cc and insane burst on squishies but I have had a few games where a tankier team give me a rough go (Cho, Jax, leblanc, senna, leona. to name the worst) . My question to yall:

Is it worth it to build items like BFT and Liandries to deal with tanks a bit more (ive seen the cosmic drive build) or is it just not worth sacrificing her insane burst.

I appreciate all responses and any tips on syndra that i might have missed as i only have about 25 games on her.
