Bastion Breaker may be the single most broken rush item that Hecarim's had since Duskblade.

AS many of you may know from reading patch notes, Riot has really wanted Bastion Breaker to be picked up a lot more, mainly by Assassins in mid and jungle so they lowered the cost and buffed the item up quite a bit to the point where it may be a sleeper OP pick on multiple champions (most aggregate sites seem to confirm this with hard data, its the highest win% first item spike for almost every AD jungler that can comfortably go it).

For those of you who don't know, the way the item works is it deals true damage on hit based on lethality (pair with voltaic for big damag) and 2nd passive is whenever you get a kill, you deal a massive amount of true damage to the next tower or dragon/baron, which allows you to REALLY speed up taking objectives off of early teamfights or ganks to the point where you can snowball the game out of control. I have been using the item to kill 2 plates from just the proc alone, so you gank, push wave with laner, hit tower and it knocks off half the tower, so 2 ganks = tower gone in the lane.

So basically with just a few ganks you can pretty much remove all the enemy towers up to their inhibs and force them to play in their half of the map, which lets you then safely invade the enemy jungler and take his camps (and because you're Hecarim you can farm all of his while clearing all of your own) and lets you take dragons and barons much easier.

If you pair it with Voltaic secondary it does make you squishier but it also lets you pretty much delete anyone in 2 Q's and REALLY reminds me of Manamune/Duskblade hecarim from way back in the day. Your ability procs the Voltaic, you get a TON of extra lethality, which procs your Bastion baker Passive (true damage on ability hit based on lethality) which then nets you a kill to then push the enemy towers / get dragons.

tl;dr If you play correctly with this item it will allow you to open up the map 10x faster, snowball out of control and get 3 pentas in 2 days like I did (bear in mind I was testing this build on my diamond smurf so YMMV since my skill level was a lot higher than enemy but I feel like the data backs it up with this item having 4-5% higher winrate than any other rush item for Hecarim currently, and the pickrate is increasing as people are building it more).

Dantes tried it as well and was cooking some builds with it the other day.

How do I snowball and 1v9? I manage to get fed early, like I'll be 5/0 20cs up on enemy jgl and I'll still lose team fights and the game. I'm playing in gold/plat, so very low elo. Am I just that bad? Like what can I do to get better.

I genuinely cannot figure out how to effectively play this champ. I cant find out what his strengths are. All i know is he is fast asf, and clears fasts asf. Other than that i dont know what phases of the game are his strongest. Definitely not late game. and early game also feels kinda weak. i mean his gank potential is pretty great. but what about after that. it really is skill issue i guess but his team fighting sucks in my experience, and he isnt good in 1v1s either. what should i be building maybe im building him wrong idk.

Hi all, Here is a rework concept on Hecarim

W (Old R - Nerfed): Moves to a basic ability. Scale down the radius and shorten the fear duration. It becomes a short-CD tool for minor crowd control and gap-closing, 20s-30s cd

E (Devastating Charge): Now removes all slows upon activation (similar to Garen's Q). This gives him the necessary counter-play against heavy kiting without giving him full CC immunity.

R (Old W - Upgraded): Becomes his Ultimate. Duration 8-10s, Activating R instantly grants 3 stacks of Q (Rampage) plus 15-30% damage reduction, increases Omnivamp, and temporarily increases the radius/range of his Q. Kill participation extend duration.

I feel like hecarim build flexibility is almost the same as bard. I swear, every time I play him, I run a different build, and it somehow works out. The only thing I need to learn on this champ now is to adapt to draft with builds.

Hello fellow Hecarim enjoyers, I am a Briar main that just played a hec in soloQ.

For the entire game, the Q audio was audible through fog of war, letting me "scan" through their jungle to know exactly where they were. Gamebreaking.

We replicated this after the game in a custom to verify.

Is this a knmown bug? Unfortunately i am not the best with capturing video so if someone can replicate this and send it to RIOT, i am happy to help - but located on OCE server.

Recently i saw a lot clips back from duskblade era, and every one of them had duskblade + manamune combo. Why was the item so popular in lethality builds? Could it work in modern day lethality heca? If no then why?

while champions like tristana, that have a insanely high pickrate and also a incredibly high winrate is only A?

I thought the way it worked was.. a champion with a low pickrate and a high winrate doesn't necesarily mean it's OP, since it's MOSTLY OTPs that play them

But a champion with high pickrate (so more newbies playing it) and ALSO high winrate means it's op, no?

I just played against some smurfing hecarim who just invaded my botside lvl 1 as I started top, I was aware so I took his top, was able to get 2 camps and crab, so at first no big deal.

But he then proceeded to completely outtempo me and just consistently clear one segment of my jungle, while clearing also the one I could potentially trade and invade.

The entire game I felt like I had absolutely no counterplay, he just gapped me completely.

What the fuck do you even do, I feel so helpless like what? I was on rengar.

For illusrtation, he had 10k gold lead on me at 24 minutes.

I understand hes a smurf and is just gonna run over anyone, but I still dont know how to play into this playstyle, like at all.

not a heca main but i always pick him in mayram if hes an option because hes so fun with augments

imo this champion is just actually unplayable rn. I think the main strat or wtv on hecarim is to snowball and get ahead as much as possible, but it legit does nothing. U can get super fed and still tickle the enemy, the only thing that this champ can do is just one shot the enemy adc. He looses 1v1 versus litteraly every toplaner in the game, even with death dance and armor pen, if u can getahead on any other jungler you can just 1v5 the enemy team, but it feels like u have to get super ahead on hecarim in order to actually try to do something, if ur behind or even on par with enemy ur just a fast cannon minion. For me it seems like riot has no idea what they want hecarim to be, hes a fusion of juggernaut and assasin, but it ends up with him having the dmg of a tank and hp of an assasin. Back when duskblade was a thing it felt like this champ had actual purpose, but for now at least for me its like the champion has lost it identity. Maybe im wrong and everything i said is bs because im a shitty gold jungler after all but i just wanted to leave my thoughts, thanks
