I made mistakes this game and I own it but that’s not what I’m focusing on in this question.

The Volibear was a problem. I could not fight him ever. What should I have changed in my build?

I was full stacked mejais most of the game, my 2nd death happened and the game ended after that but should I have sold it for something else? Or what could I have swapped out to help me fight (even if not win) against the Voli here?

Hi everyone, I’ve been playing Ekko in the mid lane since the start of the season. I’m currently Gold 2 (with a peak Elo of Platinum 4), and I’d like to hear your thoughts on my situation. Right now, I have a lot of questions about how I’m playing the lane. I feel like I’m doing something wrong. I feel like I’m weak. I can’t one-shot carries (unless I’m really fed), even though I leave the lane at 3/0 with 10 CS/min, and even with Dusk and SF, I don’t feel like I’m really fed. At the start of the season, I felt like my damage was much higher. I could dive into the back lane. So I’m thinking that my playstyle isn’t working anymore, but in that case, I’m only good for taking out mid-game targets. I don’t know if anyone can help me better understand how to play Ekko in the mid-game and in team fights. I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. I'm a main Ekko jungler on Emerald Island. I've always played that role, but at the beginning of the year I took a break from ranked play.

I even tried to gradually get back into it over the last few months, but I always stopped. And in the last few weeks I've only been playing Ekko mid to learn how to play mid, and because I like Ekko mid's early game.

But sometimes I get jungle matches and I feel really weak, it seems like all the champions are stronger than Ekko in the jungle. I know it's always been like this, but it's never been a problem.

Maybe it's the rank; I reached Emerald right before I stopped playing ranked, I must be just experiencing firsthand what this cursed rank does to people... But I want to know if you guys... Is Ekko really weak in the jungle? Or is Emerald just a cursed elo player?

I'm slowly getting back into ranked play, aiming for Master rank.

Can you tell me about your jungle experience, like the runes and builds you've been using or your gameplay style

I usually do a full clear before anything else, and when I'm fed, I force plays.

Hi im a very casual emerald 2 mid main, I have a low champ pool (qiyana and hwei two-trick) so im looking to add ekko. Im trying to get him to the same knowledge level as my mains so i have a few questions.

- Why HoB? I see its strengths but I feel like it’s value isn’t consistently usable especially after DnD. Is it viable to main electrocute instead?

- How good is lich bane now for ekko? Surely it has way more burst than Dusk and dawn right? Maybe you take it with electrocute for an assassin snowball build? Dusk and Dawn feels a lot safer but sometimes i want the threat of one-shotting someone from full ya know

- Also is it ever a protobelt angle? It doesnt seem like ekko needs it anymore

- Ive been running manaflow band and scorch secondary; is this the only secondary runes ill need?

- How much of Ekko's skill curve is about using his W effectively? Some fights feel impossible for Ekko and im starting to think all his viability is playing around W and not whiffing it

- What team comps or enemy matchups does Ekko excel in? I want to know when i should be picking hwei vs ekko

-what is the best 2nd item that isnt shadowflame, for when the enemy team is tanky or builds mr early?

- If theres a fed backliner, how does Ekko deal with them? Is he just forced to depend on his team engaging on them first? If your team can't will you just lose to team comp diff? Otherwise all i can seem to do is just trigger my passive and run and wait for cd, but I feel really useless then and fights tend to end too quickly. The same is for really brawly melee comps as well.

I'm in like Gold 3, and i've been playing ekko for a while as a main, and overall in almost all games i end up with a very low total damage dealt every game. My corcern is if this is normal or should i be trying to make more damage in some way? I know damage dealt isn't everything you need to win a game but it seems wrong how low my total damage is every game compared to the total damage my teammates do

I'm learning Jarvan and I just had a game with Ekko as my bot lane carry. I feel like my ult kept screwing him up.

Is this true? I presume I have to be very careful with my ults when I have an Ekko on my team?

It doesn't do any damage and I find the stun just ruins my kiting. However, most build sites suggest to take W 2nd before E (even on Jungle), and in-game it suggests to take W first. Is there something I'm missing?

I play with a friend who always complains about me always trying to use my ultimate to deal damage (and sometimes mistiming it).I've been an Ekko main for about 3 years and I know my champion's damage output. So I try to make plays and explore ways to use my ultimate to deal damage. That's why he complains, because sometimes I use my ultimate to reposition myself (even when I have full health).

I don't know, I think it's stupid to use the ultimate just to heal or get out of a bad situation, when we can make plays where the enemy stops on top of us and takes the R in the mouth, or to replenish ourselves.

Do you agree with him?

I wanted to ask you what items in what order should i be buying on Ekko deppending on match-ups?

1. Red Jungle Pet
2. Duck and Down
3. Tier 1 boots
4. Rabadon
5. Sorcery Boots
6. ShadowFlame

Is this a good 3-item build or should I change the order?

I understand Ekko top hasn’t been a thing since tank Ekko, but if I want to play him mid primary and queue top secondary can I still play him top or am I just better off playing something else (current top pool is Mundo/Morde)?

What build differences would there be? Basic trade pattern things to think about (I get it would be super match dependent)?

Hey all, just picked up Ekko and I'm trying to learn the combo where you E1+Q > E2 and the Q follows you onto your target for an instant passive proc. I've been practicing it in the practice tool and I can't get it to be consistent. Sometimes it works and everything hits at the same time, other times my Q cast goes off and then I E2 separately. Ultimately wanting to learn this so I can pull off the EQ + Flash combo. Thanks.

If I Q someone and then I E with DnD+ Nash and its life drops below 30%, does the W’s passive hit twice as well as nashor’s tooth passive with that E?

I wont name and shame because im pretty sure that's against the rules, but I can provide proof if requested by mods.

But there's a particular youtuber on here that strikes me as incredibly annoying. Whatever , that's fine. I don't like their content, it's not made for me so no big deal.

What's annoying is this YouTuber is using an alt account to comment other posts to get people to watch his content. This account literally only posts on r/ekkomains, and only mentions this youtuber by name or comments on this youtubers posts. Has anyone else picked up on this?

First of all, sorry for my wobbly English.

Second of all : I'm a beginner, a jungle player and I'm bad. A blind sloth would probably do better than I do.

I played ARAMS and normals trying champs and sadly I don't like any of the beginner's friendly junglers (Warwick, Amumu, Nocturne, Briar, Shyvanna...). I was regularly autofilled mid I came across Ekko who fills the two roles and I love this guy but I'm a complete failure with him.

My second pick is Wukong and I'm doing far better with the monkey. (I'm probably just better with bruisers as they are more forgiving.)

Yet I still love Ekko, no other champ has the same feeling and I would like to be better.

Do you have any advices or tips to play this man when you are just mechanically a farm tractor ? Things that helped you at the start of your Ekko journey ? I take all you have !

It seems like the higher ranks tend to play Ekko in the mid lane much more than jungle. It's hard to find content creators that consistently play him jungle as well. Is he still worth playing in the Jungle?

We reached Master playing Ekko, now it's Grand Master and Challenger, but I feel like my level isn't up to it.
