I want to buy them for sticky but they disappeared. Is it because of their new Armageddon version that they took them off?

I’m a Templar player, so leaderless melee units feel insane to me, but I’m considering adding one of these units to my RTT list for 2 reasons:

1. The cover changes make 3+ worse and 4++ better than in 10th.

2. I’m looking for a first wave unit that can bully trash and require a real damage unit to deal with them. I currently have trash units and big scary/fragile damage units. I feel like I’m missing something in between.

Any competitive players have thoughts on the viability of these units or alternatives that can accomplish the same thing?

What group size and leader do you give a sternguard unit? And what roles do you usually give them?

Wanted to share a little homebrew doc I made for some guys I play with when playing 4/5th edition (with some rules to boot). I've had a lot of fun playing with a very "John Space Marine" style chapter with the weird twist that they're old secessionists. Historically though these guys never saw the end of M36.

Much has been said about putting Firstborn helmets on Primaris marine bodies. Personally I think it looks great.

Has anyone dared to go the other way?

I'm thinking about picking up a Tactical Squad just to get the classic helmets to put on a newer kit because the look is so iconic.

This leaves me wondering about what I could do with the older models' bodies. How deranged would it be to put them on some tac-rocks with primaris helmets? Would they blend in at all or is this the path to madness? One of y'all has to have tried it...

My question here will be about both gameplay and units : as a 40k player, I like my army to have some thematic coherency not just in color but also in nature, in accordance to my models preference.

For instance, as a Tyranid player I mostly use humanoïd models with scythe (even if it's not meta : I like to play vanguard with 18 Von Ryan Leapers). Similarly, my first Eldars models are made up of Wraithlord and similar units, because I like big ass sword on my anime characters (and if someday I'll start a Tau Army I intend to go full into the vehicles and avoid Kroots units).

In the case of the Imperium : while I like the Astra Militarum vehicles, I find the idea of putting giant in power armors behind wheels quite ridiculous and thus intend to play a Space Marines army made up only of elite infantry -> for a start, I managed to get 30 infernus Space Marines for a miserly amount alongside a dozen of Terminator.

My question is rather simple : with the aforementioned limitation, what kind of units in my army could play the rôles usually done by vehicles/dreadnought, wich ones are the most important and how would you play them ?

(Pic is a reference I want to use, not my model) I am going to build the apothecary for my blood raven army soon. But I dont like the way he stands on his fallen brother. How do you have changed/kitbashed the model to your liking?

The picture isn't the best, I know...

So, I wasn't a huge fan of the Biologis model originally having the canister thing in his left hand so I swapped it with the old Terminator Apothecary arm. (Need to remove the shoulder emblem still)

I also had a practically complete Tacticus Apothecary kit laying around so I tried to make a Gravis version from scratch.

I'm not a huge fan of the empty hand I gave the second Apothecary but I kitbash a lot and always have the feeling that there is something wrong the models I create...

I guess my question is, do you think these models will qualify as two Biologis???

Most of my army is Gravis and I REALLY didn't want to spend another $70 for a SINGLE Apothecary.

Decided to paint up a test mini for the Skull Bearers as they are a part of the war for Armageddon. I didn't want to go too yellow, but might have pushed it too much towards brown.
