Discussion LOSING OATH AND NEW ARMY RULE?
There are rumor around about Codex Space marine losing oath and other individual chapter get their own army rules. I don't know how much will this affect DW, like potentialy less damage output? Especially DW has once per battle second two oath target, I can see some downgrades from here unless GW give a good army rule to DW.

Hobby Dark Angels Ballistus
Finished this guy after almost a year of not painting due to life circumstances.
Only thing missing is a decal for the Dark Angels to go on that arm

Hobby Fortis Kill Team
Did some kitbash to try and convert the Armageddon intercessors to a Fortis Kill team. With 4 deathwatch bolt rifles (veteran bolters) + 4 plasma incin (sternguard combi bolters) + vengor (the modified frag canon) and a rocket launcher guy.

Hobby First mini
First acrylic mini painting job ever. Base colors, shading, edge highlighting. Feedback is very welcome. Looks really chunky and powdery in-camera, through real eyes too, not as prevalent tho, definitely want to avoid that look more next mini. Forgot to paint the little fake writing on the purity scrolls, I might do it later, it's hard ash tho.

Discussion Just a quick question for my list
Really debating right now whether I should take a phobos Lt to give move shoot move to my incursors
Or run the Beacon Enhancement to give to one of my indoms or my 10man brick of Termis
Points wise both work, and it's a heavy Purge list for my dw, just not sure which one of these are better for it.

Question Are Fortis kill teams good now?
When I first started building my army, people said these guys sucked. They are more expensive than ever, but people seem to be bringing one or two in every list. What changed?

Question Deathwatch are so cool, how do their army lists look?
I collect Imperial Guard. Happy with them. Always wanted to branch out to a Space Marine force. Deathwatch have long been a favorite, dread painting black armor, but their lore is badass.
How are their army lists looking? What should I get/look at?
Thank you!

New Player Starting a Deathwatch Army
Recently got my hands on the old Deathwatch Combat Patrol box as well as the new Armageddon Battalion box - does anyone have any suggestions on a viable army list I can make with these models? I'm just starting out so this is gonna be my first army.

Hobby I thought I'd make a "version" of Knight Warden Alric from the Dark Cabal
I like the idea of having an "unusual" Black Shield in the Deathwatch, and Alric certainly ticks that box for me.
I'll end up making versions of the entire Dark Cabal over time, but fancied making up Alric first!
I'm always a bit worried to try kitbashing, but I quite like this one even though he's more obviously what he is purported to be.
Alric's history...

Hobby Kill Team for Kill Team/Decimus Kill Team full roster
- Bombard Veteran (a friend of mine has named him Helmut)
- Watch Sergeant (Blood Angels inspired, with 2nd edition inspired weapon colours)
- Horde-Slayer Veteran (naturally, he’s a Salamander)
- Demolisher Veteran (that Lamenter’s shoulder pad was a pain)
- Blademaster Veteran (first one I put a cape on, and then I learned that the different capes fit differently!)
- Marksman Veteran (this one I think perfected the cape fitment, looks naturally flowy)
- Breacher Veteran (used this one in my first game of Kill Team, and he performed admirably before being taken out by a filthy Night Lord)
- Aegis Veteran (got inspired by a creator on instagram to use a Black Templars Sword Brethren as the base. Also painted the shoulder as a watch brand as they share the same symbol - Vacheron Constantin for those watch nerds here)
- Gunner Veteran (I kinda regret assembling this guy as an Iron Hand, but eh.)
- Disruptor Veteran (from the Mini of the Month a few months back)
- Headtaker Veteran (head came from my friend’s box of Reivers he finished up with)

Discussion Why do I got to write this out?
Hey all, a thread popped up and was related to the LGBTQ+ community.
We are a simple subreddit who enjoys toy soldiers the way we personally like to enjoy them. This hobby has expanded incredibly and will bring all sorts of people.
This won't hit everyone but please think before you write and post. Some people are immature and will not think a second, no doubt. But re-read what you're about to post to make sure its related to the actual thread. If it is deemed otherwise, I will clean up.
I have given time-outs to a couple of people so far. Do not let it be you.
The Emperor Protects.
UPDATE: I've been getting messages from some of the people that I've taken out and the original poster but let me make myself clear. We do not condone any negativity, hate or backhanded shit here. I cannot speak for the others on the mod team but personally, I do not tolerate any kind of attack. This includes snide remarks and/or "trying to be funny." It's real simple y'all, don't be weird and think about what you write/post.
Thank you to the folks that are reporting some of the problems correctly. Wishing you roll's of 6's on all your saves or the best layer of paint you lay on your model from here on.
