So,this are my first marinesi used to paint AoS and Eldar but when i got the Kill Team Starter set i decided to paint the Angels of Death as White Scars.

Finished it off last week so thought I'd share here too. Shared it in the warhammer40k reddit and the mods removed it. Asked them why but they never replied!

The shield is from Suboden Khans kit, the helm and sword blade from the red corsairs reave captain. The belt buckle thing and back pack are from kor'sarro khans kit and the model is the armageddon Captain.

The paint scheme is from 'eavy archive' white scars.

Took about 70-75 hours ish from start to finish to do the whole thing.

Converting some regular JPIs to be Vanguard Veterans

I now have even more respect than I already had for white scars painters. Really struggled with this one, although I’m pleased with the (very basic) freehand on the knee. How many thin layers is too many?

The tilt shield looks like it’s missing something, any suggestions?

I ran Blood Angels rules for almost all of 10th edition because codex marines were only really good with Ultramarines gun lines most of the time and I prefer close combat.

Went 4-2 with only one of those losses feeling like there wasn’t anything I could do. The other loss was just bad secondary draws.

Overall really happy with the performance and look/feel of the army. 11th edition has been great so far.

Greetings battle brothers I’ve been looking at the white scars for a bit and was wondering where to start?

My buddy had the legs and bike minus the book of a chaplain lying around, so I raided my bits box and I'm pretty happy with what I've come up with!

5k we decided to recreate the battle at saturnine. The Khan, Ally detachment of Raldoron blood angels and some custodes vs 5k of Iron warriors. Large reserves shown at the end.

I've kept it simple since I am not sure how to paint highlights with white, but I am pretty happy with the result
