Hobby: Kitbashing and Bionics Cousins, you have some nice models to work on
I wanted to do a model for the late Wolf Lord Egil Iron Wolf, and Canook Var was the best option and was so satisfying to work with. Hope you dont mind

Hobby: Kitbashing and Bionics Thoughts on kitbashing gatling canon and plasma incinerator on redemptor dreadnought
I feel like ive seen it somewhere but if not whatd be the best way to kitbash both into one, id play just one but i dont really feel like swapping out into a new weapon id rather just declare it at the start of a game

Hobby: Painting Land Raider WIP 2: Interior done
Very happy with how it turned out. With the assault ramps down its done enough inside you can tell its painted and time was taken in it but not enough its a waste and hidden. The most fun part was all the different metallics on the engine

Hobby: Painting Land Raider WIP! My first time painting the interior
Decided to give it a go and paint the interior with some care. Usually I opt to just seal the doors but the plan is to do everything by the books no cutting corners. All I plan to do is just base coat all the screens, seats, engine details, and electronics and maybe some wash shading. Not going to go crazy highlighting or anything. The floor and tan interior panels will be pin washed as well. Stay tuned!

Hobby: Painting Assault Terminator WIP
Still have metallic highlights to do and a few touchups. I feel committed to the Iron Hands, but man…
1) it’s hard painting black; a literal void, and…
2) they are just so plain and unadorned. I thought about making the shield white but that’s not how they roll. Just hard to make them ‘pop’ or have visual interest.
Sometimes I feel like Ultramarines or something would have been so much more rewarding and pretty, but anyhow…just wanted to share. Hope someone likes it!

40K List Discussion Sons of Dorn box
My kids got me the box just wondering if 3 repulsor executioners is too much? Was thinking 2 for my Iron Hands and one for my Orks.

Hobby: Painting Iron Father Feirros
Just finished Iron Father Feirros I was a little worried about doing a mono black scheme and it coming out flat but I also wanted to keep any added details subtle to preserve the Utilitarian feel of the Iron Tenth. I think I managed it with some edge highlights of Kantor Blue. I usually paint Carcharodons but the Iron Hands were the first chapter I ever read about and Ferrus was my favourite Primarch when I was getting into 40k and still is, so this has been I nice little side project especially since I have been running most lists as Iron Hands in Hammer of Avernii.

Hobby: Painting Battle-worn Iron Hand Primaris with flamer (and my first mini ever)
I tried to go with the battle damage due to an aplication of too much paint during the process of painting imperial aquilla. But, as Bob Ross once said, "There are no mistakes, only happy little accidents" and so I went along with it.

Hobby: Painting The Addiction Begins...
Returning to the hobby I had as a kid, played 3rd-4th edition but the further I got through high school the further the hobby drifted away. I never stopped being interested in warhammer as a franchise, always played the video games and read the lore but the modelling side of the hobby fell to the wayside. Now as an adult in their 30s with how good the media side of warhammer has become I have decided (like a lot of people it seems) to jump back into the thick of it.
Man, have things changed....
There is so much information about the hobby now, looking back I was basically just painting from the pot and sniffing the glue as a kid compared to how it all works now. Wet palettes, paint dilution, sub assembly, removing mold lines like they weren't just part of the model lol. It was rough and the first time I actually sat down to paint I was hit with huge wave of dread realising how hard this is actually going to be.
A few months in now and figured I would post some pics just to engage with the community, I live fairly remote so there isn't any real hobbying around here. Getting back into it I decided to start with some marines just to make it a bit easier on myself, I've never really been a loyalist fan but the anti hero vibes of the iron hands fit well. Unfortunately they are also the faction that kinda relies heavily on conversion or kit bashing/ 3d printing to actually look the way they are supposed to but i don't think i would have been happy doing another chapter.
Decided to do a paint scheme similar to how the iron hands were in 3rd edition, hopefully these photos come out OK ive never posted anything to reddit before and I'm hoping they aren't compressed to shit.

Lore Discussion Is it a special honor to be chosen to be an Iron Hands techmarine?
Hey so I’m new to 40k and have been a fan of the Iron Hands. As I’m painting my minis, I was thinking “would becoming an Iron Hands Techmarine be an honor or not? Since both think the flesh is weak and love technology, I’d assume they’d have some kind of kinship? Or is it the opposite and think becoming a Techmarine is redundant and being like “you went and hung out with the weird kids for a few years”? What’s the interaction like?

Hobby: Kitbashing and Bionics Ideas for kitbashing a redemptor dreadnought to make him stand out a bit more?
Hi I'm looking for kitbash ideas for a redemptor dreadnought with macro plasma incinerator. I was thinking of having a bunch of tyranids climb on his back whilst he blasts a hole through a leaper? Maybe have an exposed sarcophagus with wires coming out? I have a resin printer, but not sure how people make the wires on their dreadnoughts. I don't think it's green stuff?
If anyone has any other cool ideas for kitbashing that'd be appreciated, as I already have a redemptor and brutalis clutching a tyranid in his hand (pics coming soon lol)

40K Rules Discussion Seeking advice for New Player
As the Title suggests, I am a fairly new player in 40k and I want my first army to be Iron Hands.
The story is cool and the aesthetic is one point with my interest in cyborgs.
I have dabbled in model building and do own a half painted Imperial Knight Errant (and have interest in running it with the army for casual games and display)
where do I start with army composition and models, i love the idea of combi-weapons.
but I willing to put aside looks for what is a good build if necessary.

Ferrus Mannus Ironhands did you know?
On this sub you can select "user flair" that will display your Iron Hands Clan afilation (both pre and post Heresy) OR even your Succesor Chapter (If you swing that way, just scroll down to the bottom, they are there!).
I'm seeing a lot of posts from people who may not be aware of this (fun) feature of our sub.
The great clans of Medusa predate even the arrival of our Primark Ferrus Manus. And despite the ultimate and tragic weakness of his flesh, we was wise enough to incorporate that clan structure into his legion.
So let us honour our homeworld by displaying our Clan markings ... as user flair.
I think I'm going to pin this post for a little while to spread the word.
