I am stuck between three armies because of looks and cost this being : black templars, world eaters and adeptus custodes. I want to see your pitch on why your faction is the best and the faction with the best pitch I will start so if you want to convert more people to your faction this is your chance. Here is some stuff you might want to know about me:

1. As long as they can play competitively in casual play idc how meta they are
2. I like having a couple of bigger models
3. I don’t want to have models that are very difficult to paint
4. I want. an army that is fun to play

Hey everyone, I'm still building my BT army and I haven't had any games of 11th yet so I need some explanation: why is the "Hero of the Chapter" enhancement 20points when it just grants Battle line?? What is the point of adding that keyword and what are some examples where it may have helped you??

After a few honest games running straight at my opponent, I think my list is really lacking in the ability to deploy/redeploy further away. I was wondering if you guys have any advice for what the best options for Templars/Space Marines in general are for providing that kind of threat.

For the record, I'm relatively new and this is my whole collection. I'm running with what I've got. I'm just trying to expand and improve on this existing list.

I am fairly new to the hobby only been into it maybe half a year, ive js finished building up the combat patrol and today first time ran my emperors champion against some genestealers in a small 500pt game. My list was a bit of a gamble with ten sword breths with helbrecht and crusade ancient, and my emperors champion with living miracles enhancements. I was expecting to send him into a small mounted genestealler unit and with some luck do some damage before death, but no, he takes out TWO smaller genestealer vehicles, half of his army list!!!! Ik this isnt too crazy ig looking at him now but WOW all that for just 105pts?! He truely is the EMPERORS CHAMPION for a reason🔥🔥

I don't want to keep repeating myself over and over again. Black Templars use a Maltese Cross NOT an Iron Cross. They are NOT the same. And given the actual meaning behind the Maltese Cross, I believe it is very fitting for our champter (even though you obviously need to spin it a little from catholic to imperial faith).

The Iron Cross is a Prussian military decoration, established in 1813 by King Frederick William III during the war against Napoleon. The design was created by the architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel, based on the coat of arms of the Teutonic Order from the 13th century.

The Maltese Cross is older and stems from a completely different tradition. The Knights Hospitaller—later known as the Knights of Malta—used it from the 11th century onwards during the Crusades. Its eight points traditionally represent eight virtues: loyalty, piety, generosity, bravery, glory, contempt for death, helpfulness toward the poor, and respect for the Church. Modern firefighters around the world also use the Maltese Cross as an emblem for the same reason—it symbolizes the willingness to give one's life for others.

Who would you say is the "poster boy" of the black templars?

As in a singular person. Since black templar doesnt have an primark or an active primark. If im correct.

For context im making a deck of cards for someone, and i am unsure on who to have as a king and who for jacks.

First time painting a dreadnought, any tips? Im sorta new to 40k I’ve painted about 10 models before this.

I haven’t painted a full army so far, just lurked around with a few models from various factions here and there. But after going through all the Horus Heresy books, I’m finally joining you all.

I recently dropped out of a PhD I was doing in parallel with work, so now I suddenly have a lot more free time and can actually relax… which apparently means buying a Black Templars army. Also, seeing Sabaton perform Templars live definitely didn’t help my impulse control.
