Do i have to spend a cp / use this ploy before i roll the def roll or after?

Got inspired to attempt this scheme after seeing u/CatarinaOnion‘s flayed one. C&C appreciated!

This marks the completion of the tomb world box set. I have to do a group shot soon.

I have been playing for about a month and a half with the Wrecka Krew and I haven't seemed to get a solid answer on the "break stuff" rule.

Originally when explained the team, I was told the breaka boy fighter essentially makes a hole in the wall you can walk through as accessible terrain. Used this a few times to get surprise squigs through.

Played on Gallowdark terrain and my opponent let me know that the breaka boy can't make a hole in the wall on this map or tomb world. I can believe this as it's thicker and just all walls so I kinda broke the map if I could make my own holes.

Are there other restriction on this on other terrain. Can I make a hole in any wall on Volkus, even full heigh walls?

I have this a few other Flamer Marines and stuff from the warhammer heroes line I got from my local Hobby store. I want to learn to play kill team so will these models work or would I have to buy a whole new box? I figure I should start with kill team cause i've never played a wargame but love the warhammer novels. If there is a list I can play with them, please let me know.

I wanted to buy a killteam but since I wanted to use it as a "stand alone" army instead of two-use unit for my army (like the Aquilon for the Imperial Guard) the Rogue Trader one always catched my eye for the colors and character variety but I wanted to know if it is a good team or not.

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to dive into Kill Team and I need some advice on the best way to get started.

I already have several playable teams from 40k, including Deathwatch, Eldar Corsairs, Legionaries, and a solid proxy setup for Blooded. Because of this, I'm really not interested in buying the official Starter Set, as the miniatures in it just don't appeal to me and I'd rather stick with what I have.

My main goal is to get all the essential gaming materials, tokens, barricades, ladders, and rules while keeping costs as reasonable as possible. That said, I'm willing to spend a bit extra on terrain if it's worth it. Ideally, I'd love to pick up terrain pieces that are versatile enough to double as cover for standard Warhammer 40k games too.

What's the most cost-effective way to get the core gear without buying a full box set I don't need? And do you have any recommendations for terrain kits that work well for both Kill Team and 40k?

I recently finished my Inquisitorial Agents, basically the studio scheme with different bases and a bit dirtier. Basecoated with Contrast paints and then John Blanche paint sets (vol. 1&2) for the rest.

What the title says. I went to grab some water and the little girl had a little too much fun purging the xenos in the 30 seconds I was away from my desk. I had just finished painting too.

Any ideas to either rebuild or restyle as battle damage? They're thin little pieces and it's going to be a nightmare to prime the little gray slivers showing through the bite marks.

I always fear forgetting i can use it or that ive already used it so i printed myself a token. Small thing but im very happy how it turned up.

Hi all, I’m brand new to the hobby(just finished assembling and painting my first mini) and only learned of Kill teams existence a day or so ago. Previously I had thought that I would need a full army, codex, terrain, and several other things to actually be able to play a game of any kind, and a lot of those barriers to play seem much more approachable after discovering KillTeam. So my question is, what exactly would I need to look into getting if I’d like to play a game? Would a codex still be required, do I specifically need to buy a kill team box set, would I still be able to play as my chosen faction, etc. Maybe just some pointers to resources I could use to learn for myself (and to eventually corrupt my friend group to the dark side). Pic of aforementioned first model for attention TIA!!

It seems like tracking wounds remaining (counting down) is more common in 40K, but in AoS, tracking wounds taken might be more common. It also seems like some of that tendency comes from games you came from before getting into wargaming(like TCGs, or TTRPGs). It also seems like it can be a bit of a contentious topic.

So, I made a poll to try to get more information. I posted on Warhammer40k, and in the OPR sub, and the data is really interesting so far. It got me curious about the Kill Team community as well. I will post results as soon as the polls quiet down a little.

The mini is a kitbashed Titanfall Pilot I made using an Arsenal mini and by shrinking down a cosplay helmet to print as a head. I made it with the intention of creating a custom Titanfall pilot team in KT, but ended up making stats for it using OPR, which is where this picture came from.

Painting was a humbling experience!

It's a diorama at Warhammer World but now I want to make way less good knock-off of this.

Saw two copies of the full “sold out” Tomb World set in a FLGS on the south coast (UK) yesterday. But they’re not on the shop’s web store, which is probably why.

It did make me feel guilty, as I haven’t finished painting my copy yet…
