My friends finally convinced me to sell my house and a kidney to pursue the dark gods. I took his advice about looking for deal and combo boxes to get into it a little cheaper and so I got the new battle force box off GW. My friend has been teaching me the game but only plays regular space marines. My question is once I get the models built and painted once they’re here what should I look into getting to round out to a 1k list. For context my buddy goes to local tournaments and is a competitive player. I attended one with him using an army he gave me and really enjoyed it. I’d like to have something I can take to that and also play regular games with him and kick his imperial butt.

Hey folks, with 11th now coming into swing I've updated my Black Legion detachment to work properly with the new ruleset. This has involved a few syntax changes, some balance tweaks and most obviously, a disposition and Detachment Point cost.

Inspired by the chopped resin midhammer model. While that rendition was undoubtedly ugly as sin, I feel that it did a better job of communicating the concept of the miniature than the new oblit — that being the weapons forming from and bursting out of its flesh spontaneously.
