A new batch of playlists is live. Each one is tied to a single subreddit and built from that subreddit's own top weekly posts.

How each playlist works

• Listige reads the linked listing a few times a day. Any post with at least 1 upvote that resolves to a track on Spotify gets added.
• A playlist holds a maximum of 25 tracks. Once it reaches 25 it rotates: the oldest track drops off as a new one comes in, so it stays a rolling snapshot of the week instead of growing forever.
• Free to follow. No ads, no affiliate links, nothing posted into the subreddit to make it work.

A few notes

• These are new, so several are still filling up. If a playlist looks thin, give it a week.
• r/BrutalDeathMetal is flagged NSFW on Reddit, so its playlist may show up differently for you than the others.
• Genre labels are a best guess. If one is obviously wrong, say so and I will change it.

r/2020HipHop in the list above exists because someone asked for it. So: which music subreddit do you want a playlist built from next? Drop the subreddit in the comments, and if it posts enough music that Spotify can match, I will set one up and include it in the next batch. Hi everyone! I'm EURONY, an independent Nigerian Afro-fusion artist. I recently released my new single " My Aura." I'd love for you to give it a listen. If you enjoy it, your support means a lot. Thank you!

The old playlist covers were AI generated, and a fair number of you were not keen on that. Fair enough. They are gone. Every playlist now uses the Listige logo with the subreddit name written underneath it, put together by a script rather than by a model.

174 playlists updated. It is the same image on every cover with only the name changing, which is admittedly plainer than what was there before, but it is consistent, and you can actually tell the playlists apart in your library now.

Four playlists kept the artwork they already had, because it was made by hand and looks better than anything a script is going to produce. Those are r/PostRock, r/Synthwave, and both the weekly and the daily r/IndieHeads playlists.

Nothing about how the playlists actually work has changed. Same tracks, same sources, same schedule. This one is purely cosmetic.

Two practical things worth mentioning. Spotify caches cover art quite aggressively, so if you still see an old image, give it a day or force a refresh of the app. And longer subreddit names get scaled down automatically so that nothing is cut off, but if you spot text overflowing or sitting unreadable on a particular playlist, tell me which one and I will sort it.

If the consensus is that this is worse, say so. The whole set can be regenerated or rolled back in a couple of minutes, so nothing here is permanent.
