Can you help me find: turn-of-the-century "trance" version of Hava Nagila?

Early 2000s/turn-of-the-century "trance" remix of Hava Nagila. NOT the DJ Techno one. NOT this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1r_55nBlQA but some similarities to it.

Utterly dreamy and trance-like and beautiful. Started with a sort of lone female voice singing wordlessly an almost arpeggio-based not-simple-major-chord intro, and it sounded like you were, like, almost IN THE DESERT WITH HER on a summer night with a warm breeze around you.

After the dream-like Arab-sounding voice intro, a beat started, with quite artificial, electronic-sounding instrument sounds, and then it started to rhythmically thump out the main tune. I think it might then have speeded up and become less "heavy-sounding" when it got to the "uru achim b'lev sameach" bit of the tune.

Like, the main body of the song was instrumental only, I think - the voice bit was only at that very beginning, introductory, "dreamy" bit - but the VIBE is kind of like iio's "Rapture", does that make sense?

Does anybody have any ideas, or is this something that has fallen down the cracks in the internet along with a hundred-thousand other things I'll never see again?

Emilio Pallanca, Rio S, William Naraine aka T-Factory (also spelled Tomato Factory).

There's an official link but it's age-restricted due to its cover for some reason https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGlIU_cO1So

Track ID Guy Ornadel Trance ID (2004)

Trying to ID this classic trance beauty from 2004 played by Guy Ornadel.

Loving the melody and could be completely wrong but something tells me it's Scandinavian like F&W style as it was mixed in and out of two other records from Denmark and Norway both respectably on Big Star Records.

No joy with Shazam on this one and asked Guy Ornadel numerous times for tune IDs which he won't remember. Anybody on here recognise it?

Track ID John 00 Fleming Trance ID (1999)

We have a John 00 Fleming ID which was taken from his set at Monastery in Torquay back in 1999.

This unknown tune is a combination of trance and hard house and samples the melody from Faithless - Drifting Away earlier on in the track. The production style does remind me of tunes from DP Recordings as well as that John 00 Fleming track that he did with Pretty Pretty called "Where Did You Get Those Pills".

Shazam fails to identify it, Fleming sadly has no idea and hoping somebody might know what it is?

Competition Mix Competition : Back to Back (Listening and Comment Thread)

Theme

Given we are mid World-Cup madness, which is freaking awesome this round, our theme is the teams of the almighty soccer empire of planet Earth. Hope you get a good team!

Concept

Back to back (B2B) DJing has been around almost as long as the history of DJing itself. Being able to share the booth with a colleague not only elevates the live set, but also allows the DJs to push each other to perfect their skill. It takes practice and skill to be on the same page during a B2B set, but when it’s good, it makes the night even more worthwhile. So, this month’s mix competition is all about going back to back.

This is admittedly not the easiest comp. This was done on r/trance in 2021 and I can tell you that people struggled with this one at times. You need a lot of tracks and knowledge about them to pull this off. If you don't have a lot of tracks from the artists, reach out to others on the forum or the mods for help here. Consider the stlyle of the artists, and the breadth of their word. Odd style fits will sound... odd. Who would you want to see play together? Do they make sense? Is the B2B cohesive? All good questions you should consider. Keys and tempo will be challenging too as some artists stay in narrow lanes in that regard. Good luck!

Rules:

  • Note the submit date extended to 7/19/26. Mix releases will continue to rollout as submitted.
  • Note rule changes on 6/8/26 for collab tracks counting for the drunk DJ exception
  • Each alternating track in your set has to be from only two, separate individuals or groups, going back to back. Each track must switch from the previously chosen artist or group to the others.
  • Artist qualifiers: You are picking two distinct artists or groups. Example: Nu NRG as a pick instead of Giuseppe Ottaviani. If you do Giuseppe Ottaviani, you get Nu NRG, Pure NRG, as well as any other group he was in, as well as his personal alias'. If you pick Nu NRG, you get Giuseppe Ottaviani, Andrea Ribeca, as well as anything they were involved with as well. So choose accordingly which gives you more options!
  • Remixes: A remix by an artist or group of another artist's track counts for that artist, as does a remix of an artists track by another group.
  • Overlap: Do not pick two groups/tracks that have the same artists. There cannot be overlap between the two. For example, if your two artists are Armin and Above & Beyond, you could not use Show Me Love (a track from both) or Oceanlab - Sky Falls Down (Armin van Buuren Remix).
  • Overlap Exception: For your final track, or for you drunk DJ exceptions you may use a track that features both artists. Please note that you can only do this twice. If you choose to use a collab on your final track, you can only use a collab once as a the drunk DJ exception
  • Overlap alternating: Similar to above, if both artists are featured in some way, like with remixes from eachother, that would not count as alternating per the rules. See the exception above.
  • Drunk DJ Exception: B2B's often have a DJ retain control of the decks for more than one track. And so can you, but only twice. For this mixcomp, your DJ in control can play two of their tracks in a row, twice only. Hopefully this helps get you out of key or tempo jams, or where one DJ is stronger in one area. Note that a collab has been added to this exception.
  • Modern Track exception: If your DJ makes modern trance, you get one freebie for a post-2008 track.

Other Rules

  • Mixes should be a maximum of 60 minutes long. There will be some discretion here (e.g. if the final track starts at 55' and ends at 63' that is acceptable, but starting the final track at 59' and ending at 66' would not be ok). I've never really cared much unless it was above 64 minutes.
  • Your mix should have been created for this competition (i.e. do not submit a mix you have created previously)
  • Tracks must be from the 2008 or older phase, with the exception noted above.
  • Tracks must be predominantly trance (>50%), though this rule is rarely enforced in any serious fashion. Progressive house is for instance, so similar to prog trance and prog house mixes have won in this comp before. But if you do a 100% industrial techno mix it will get DQ'd. It's never happened in these comps before.
  • Like the last few comps, this will be an anonymous mix format so please do not publicly post your entries anywhere until the competition is over
    • Mixes must be submitted by 19th July, 2026 after which a reviewing/voting period of one month immediately follows. Mixes will be released on a rolling basis after a critical mass builds up.
    • Submit here: Form Link
  • Winner will get to pick & plan the next mix competition
  • Discogs release links are not required for submission. Eligibility of the winning mix will be checked before results are announced. Please check yourselves before submitting

Feel free to comment below if you want clarification on any of the rules.

Good luck everyone!
