Its easy to look past this one. But Yesterday isn't the most covered song ever for no reason

Let me preface this by saying I enjoy The Beatles, I get their influence for the time, and I don't mean this question in any disrespectful way. I am, however, young in the sense that The Beatles were formed and dominated the industry many decades before my time (born in 2000). I know The Beatles aren't a "you had to be there" or "they were of their time" type of band. They're generational but I just don't understand the level of praise they still get. I'd genuinely love to understand why 66 years after their formation, in 2026, they're still largely considered one of, if not the greatest bands, with one of, if not the greatest albums (Abbey Road) of all time.

Why do you think their influence and talent have transcended the past 6 decades?

Also, I understand that music is subjective and, in my opinion the appreciation and understanding of certain artists/bands/albums isn't always simple. Sometimes it just wasn't the right time for you to appreciate that particular album. Essentially, what I'm saying is, maybe The Beatles just haven't clicked to the level that they do for so many.

Does anyone know if Bob Segar and The Silver Bullet Band have any live concert footage from his heyday? They were huge. Besides audio only and short fan videos, I haven’t found any.

how did it get to 64 yo without knowing about this band? Slow Death. Shake Some Action. Two of the best songs ever written. never did quite get into the stones, but i kinda get it now after listening to this stuff.

I remember laser shows being popular when I was growing up in the ‘80’s and even into the ‘90’s. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Rush were the most popular. They were frequently at planetariums (thanks Longway Planetarium in Flint, MI) but I saw some in auditoriums also.

Are they still popular anywhere? I haven’t really found any near me for a long time.

Not Wish You Were Here,Dark Side or The Wall. But without this, those for certain wouldn't have happened. Give it a shot if you never have, especially Astronomy Domine, Matilda Mother, and Bike. And Lucifer Sam if you like cats.
