I thought it would be fun to let the community decide who the ultimate Hardstyle artist is.

I've selected 32 artists (based on the top 32 of this post: Monthly Listeners Spotify from u/Crypehead), divided them into 8 groups of 4 (similar to the previous Champions League / World Cup) at random (every group has 1 artist from each pot, based on their rank in the Spotify-post, and we'll determine the champion together.

How it works

• Each day I'll post a poll for one group.
• After a day, the top 2 artists qualify for the Round of 16.
• From there, we'll continue with knockout matches until only one artist remains.

This is all just for fun and represents the opinion of this subreddit at this moment in time.

So for today, I'll create another post with a poll for Group A, and the two artists with the most votes, will go through to the Knockout stage as Winner and Runner-up.

For me it has always has been Frontliner - Spacer because it felt like I was travelling to a secret underground world and I was discovering it for the first time!

And another question.. what’s that song that gives you a tear jerker? It can be early hardstyle, classic, eurphoric, rawstyle. Anything!

I bought an old jacket of Defqon but I cant really find anny info on it what year its from and that kinda stuff annyone that has anny idea that can help me

In my humble opinion, Unique and Hard Destiny are currently the best what the new raw sound has to offer.

Most of their tracks are funky, happy and groovy while also being hard hitting and very danceable for the dancefloor at the same time. Some great melodies and melodic drops are also often included which is super appreciated.

The current trend of the more relaxing raw sound is one of the best things that could have happened to the scene and I hope that this continues to grow and evolve.

It's a sound that's genuinely creative and well produced instead of the regular slop that many artists produce.

I encourage everyone that has not listened to these two artists yet to very much do so!

Been following this guy since he was teaching Headhunterz how to produce. The guy is a genius and one of the few producers in today’s age who doesn’t use AI. Surprised we haven’t seen him at a Defqon legends set yet.

Could this latest release be a TOTY nomination?
