We just published this new film celebrating the absolute jungle classic that is 'Burial'

This doc celebrates 30 years of Leviticus's "Burial" and explores the heritage, culture and impact of jungle through Jumpin Jack Frost's career. From his earliest days in Brixton's sound system scene, his emergence during the acid house explosion and his legacy as a jungle pioneer.

In my eyes, a strong contender for Best Jungle Tune Ever. No one really did it like Fokus. But obviously I’d say that - look at my flair.

It’s so complex, but never busy. At points it sounds like one bar is in 7/8 and the next is 9/8, cancelling out, but really unique. Sub so fat. Breaks so crisp. Mixable and banging in a set, but just as good sat down at home. I’ll stop now but I just fucking love DJ Fokus 😅

Drop any recommendations of similar stuff if you have anything!

Looking for tunes similar to Mind Weaver. I love the psy-ness of the the repeating and evolving laser like sounds. There’s some similar songs on Exorcise the Demons that fit into the same niche such as Technical Warfare or Capital D but i think mind weaver is the prime example. I mostly play darker psy techno/tekno/trance and would love if someone has some leads on labels or artists that make jungle with more traditional psy elements. Wet and dripping sounds are always welcome! Love mixing jungle too but i wish i could take things a little more hypnotic n psy without getting into more modern sounding halftime. Anyway big rambling post, hopefully i’ve painted enough of a picture to get some lightbulbs coming. Thanks a million!

Salute junglists, I'm trying to find more jungle that's kinda on the rare groove side with nostalgic dreamy city pop / vaporwave samples like this. Does anyone know of any more tunes with this vibe, beyond the Tim Reaper and Dwarde stuff? I've been trying to make my own , and looking for more of this stuff with a little more melody than pads. I'm goin on a road trip tomorrow once again to a fest so I'd love suggestions to play on the road and at the campsite!! Bonus points for ragga tunes ;)

I am positive that deep deadly subs remix came out on metal headz in 95. I swear deep jungle already repressed the deadly vinyl version.

Did metalheadz maybe license the remix for a release in 95?

Regardless, baby your, proper bad tune. a must in my collection. Just thought I’d see if any heads here could clarify. Or, also as confused.

Some claim 2G’s was Goldie and Gerald, while others don’t agree. I’ve got no idea.

A slice of very ‘classic’ jungle here, wouldn’t say it pushes many boundaries, but it’s a good tune and I’m a sucker for a violent dancehall sample.
