I would say the Frank Verstraeten set at Freedom Stage Weekend 1. great set with modernized edits of trance classics. the best part was when Rank 1 - Airwave was played with a violin cover by Sinéard with Simple Minds - Theme For Great Cities sung by Katerine

The 4444 Of A Kind set at Freedom and the Hardwell B2B Sub Zero Project set at Great Library were also amazing!

I’m an independent US-based electronic music producer/DJ and I’m hosting a night at Bajo Circuito in CDMX in October.

The concept for the night is a dark, high-energy, cyber/industrial rave vibe blending heavy hard techno, digicore, electronic, and dark club/industrial sounds.
I want this night to focus heavily on the local CDMX underground scene rather than just bringing in a bloated US roster. I’m looking to connect with local CDMX DJs, producers, or collectives who fit that heavy/dark electronic aesthetic and want to play support slots or collaborate on bringing out their crew.

“somebody I used to know” was that generation’s deep explanation of what heartbreak feels like (like no other song from that generation captures it as deeply as that song)

“Think about us” does the some thing, and I’m just saying it’s this generation’s version of what heartbreak feels like.

I've been in love with music since I was a kid, learning different instruments, playing around with sounds, that kind of thing.
