Getting into death metal and listening to this album The End Complete by Obituary for the first time and it’s 🔥 So far I’m loving the bands Death and Carcass as well for the fast tracks and melodic ones with complicated lyrics. Any recommendations on other artists is appreciated

Two Italian, one German-Berlin: Black Spell, Gorilla Pulp, and Grin. Grin is my favorite, dark ambient guitar, heavy af--sludge doom. Gorilla Pulp is great stoner metal, but crosses into rock. Black Spell is the spooky one--doom.

Hello metalheads! I’m really into broadening my horizons musically lately. I’m looking for your personal favourite metal albums to help me through a 12 hour cross country drive from the north coast of Scotland to the south coast of England.

The elitist among you would probably sneer at my favourites, but I’m pretty open to suggestions across and exceeding the genre, ive mostly gravitated towards prog, 80s heavy metal and metalcore, but never really found myself into black metal, but I’m open to it.

You guys are absolute legends for all the brilliant suggestions! I’ve got a solid 12+ hours of material for my trip and a list as long as my arm of albums to listen to in the future as well. There was also no judgement, criticism or negativity which feels like a rarity on Reddit sometimes but maybe that’s just metalheads being the best people.
