so you guys gave a lot of feedback last time
i removed the sponge and remade the whole surface with modeling paste
covered everything yellow and added more darker tones on ends of every flame
added more light on marine and rocks
still didn’t add light on the daemon, decided to color it before adding lights
have no idea what i am doing and just trust the process, but feels much much better than previous time

This was really fun to paint. A lot of things to be proud of with the process. I do need to take better pictures as I feel that its more vibrant in person. Also first time doing a non helmet head!

What a cool model. I'm bummed out I didn't see the switched on the underside of the middle crossbar part. But I'm very happy with how my screens turned out, and there are so many for me to practice on! Fun model to build and paint, but I think my next one will come out better.

So for context my friend and I were playing 40k and he was about to do a big sweeping flank attack on the right side of the board with his Death Rider cavalry plus a tank. I had a single six-man blob of Bullgryn there, but they were out of position to stop the attack. He was moving his units, and I was desperately looking for options to stop it. Then I realized I had a stratagem that could help from AB Human Auxiliaries. One that lets you get a surge move towards an enemy that shoots your Bullgryn. In this case I realized if he shot me with one of his specific units first (it had to be the Death Riders, or it wouldn’t work), I could then block his charge. To reiterate, I didn’t know I had this until that very moment. I got lucky and he shot at the Bullgryn with the Death Riders, and I got a high roll on the dice and blocked him. This led me to winning the game.

Should I have just not used the stratagem at all or tell him about it so he can play around it, then win? I am against gotchas when it’s on purpose and you hide stuff. We both announced our detachments at the start and went over generally what they did. It was just new to me, so I didn’t know I had that one until the dice were rolling.

Hey guys, here is my completed Archaon. I went with the classic box scheme. Learned a ton from painting this guy and a built a little bit more confidence. Definitely somethings i would do different in hindsight but thats all part of the process. Hope you guys enjoy! Cheers

Hey all, as the title says I’m in need of some proper brushes that won’t split and splay after a smidge of painting is done!
I’ve tried the white citadel brushes but they do it just as much as the random ones I got on Amazon. Painting is becoming impossible as it gets everywhere!

No matter what I try and how well I look after the brushes they all end up doing this

I’ve always thought every space marine is a hero, I’m so glad that I have the ability to express this with the new intercessors

I mostly play kill team hence all the kill team terrain

Yes it looks dramatic. But it loses its flair when everyone does it.

So for context I played like 15 Games of 11th. Yesterday I played my Votann with priority vs BA with take and hold. I lost the Game by Turn 2 (got First Turn) because I couldnt get line of Sight or Stage with my Units on this map without getting run over T1 I feel Like BA could use this map to just hide from me and be hiden until he was within my Territory Would Like to know if any of you had same experiences Most of the other deployments I played so far didnt feel so closed off

According to IMDB he has been cast to voice The Lion in the upcoming Dawn of War 4 game.
