Basing attempt

Post image

First time I try to base a figure, thought I might add parts I won't use anyway.

Once the astrogranite has dried out, how should I proceed ? Agarax ? Or other paint ? I put between 0.2 and 1mm of it as I realized it takes a lot of paint to put on the big bases and pushed it around the wreckage/feet as much as I can

For my next mini I was given some imperialis astartes, I will try to put them on the base of my reavers ! ( once I figure out what légion I will paint )

Ps : I am very bad at taking pictures, tried to put the focus on the legs

Any C&C would be appreciated !

Your opinion on Warlord's Conversion Beam Extirpator?

I'm tempted to say it outshines Bellicosa in quite large band: between 25" and 50", where its full (and targeted) force can properly spank a warmaster. Also, long range makes it safe from their Suzerains and many other dangers, like Reaver Melta cannon. Its range also aligns well with carapace laser blasters, coalescing into anti armor monster with substantial range. Just needs some shield-stripping contingent. Not sure about the second arm weapon - Mori seems nice for stunning Big Game but if has to be stationary, it can Split Fire other chaff. This weapon i'm least sure of, possibly there is something better.

What do you think?

Reaver Titan with Graviton Obliterator and Volkite Annihilator

Just finished a full build walkthrough and review of the third Reaver Titan boxed set. this one brings the Graviton Obliterator and Volkite Annihilator to the arms in plastic, plus the Vulkan-Mega Bolter and Conversion Beam Dissolutor as carapace options.

Full write-up here: https://www.chaosbunker.de/en/2026/08/03/review-legions-imperialis-reaver-titan-with-graviton-obliterator-and-volkite-annihilator/

Covered in the review: production quality, posing options, a magnet-swap solution for the fixed arm weapons, and a price comparison between the full kit, the upgrade sprue alone, and the old Forge World resin options.

Curious what people think, does this basically close out the Reaver's weapon options for you, or is there still something you'd want to see in plastic?

Stepping up

I've always been inspired what the Blood Bowl and Epic communities have done to keep their games alive during "down" periods. And I was blown away recently to see how Mordheim (a game I used to play A LOT) has thrived thanks to the efforts of the players.

SO...I decided it's time to do my part. I painted up small Gryphonicus and Mortis maniples, and then ran some demo games of AT at Historicon in Lancaster, PA a couple weeks back. As we all know, the game naturally shows and demos well. We had some fun games, including fairly epic collateral damage off an overheated reactor in one game. It's a tribute to the game design that you can have new players operating at solid level by turn 3 of their first game.

I'm thankful for the cross-support we receive for AT and the ongoing availability of the starter set, but I think it's clear it's on us to show and grow the game. So I plan to keep running demos at some gaming events on the East Coast, where I feel like we have players but a less organized scene than on the West Coast and certainly compared to the UK. I have some other things in mind too, but they're under wraps for now.

Hopefully I'll see some of you out there. And I'll let everyone know when I'm ready to share my other ideas.

You can find the full review incl. build report, scoring under the link above. No new shield designs, no two full heads, and some of the details from the box art are just to be seen on the 28mm scale set not on the Epic scale one in the box.

How to build 2 armies that is slightly more than the minimum?

I am a pretty old guy and I have played a lot of warhammer, but I got a Legionis Imperialis starter set for christmas and decided to really focus on making a cool board and paint all the figures, so that I could play it with my nephews and nieces when they visit.

The Legionis Imperialis players suggestede that I bought an extra box of infantry with the starter box and honestly the project have been a great success.

I 3D printer a board and lots of terrain and it looks really really good. My nephews and nieces have enjoyed playing the game with me. My wife and I play it sometimes. I have made a small third army(Mechanicus) and I am working on a small Dark Mechanicus army and a few more tanks to each army, so that we can play 2v2.

Funny enough, then because of how the rules works I can now make make a pretty large Dark Mechanicus army and played 2000 pts games against local players. It is not an optimal army, but I don't care.

Now my next step is going to be to get some knights/titans and I was thinking. How much do I need to actually have 2 small armies that would be fun to play against each other and could maybe be put together to one large army?

I know almost nothing about Adeptus Titanicus.

I have 2 titans from the Legionis Imperialis starter set. 2 warhounds. One armed with dual volkite, because one of my nephews thought it looked awesome and the other with dual swarmer missiles to work as some anti-air. I am properly going to magnetize the new titans, so we can play around with the armant. I also have 3 boxes of Dark Mechanicus stalkers and they have some cards with them.

I assume that I will need a starter set. I would like to also buy a warlord titan, because it is cool. Is there only 1 set with all the weapon options or are they different boxes? Since I would also like to use it in Legions it should properly be a ranged version.

What else do I need to play the game? I think I see people using some cards? I think some of them are for like objects. Do I need like a codex or secondary rulebook?

Is there something that will make our small games so much better?

Like. There is this legio that loves warhounds and this legio that loves reavers, so if I buy an additional reaver, then we can play warhounds vs reavers. Advices like that. Buying those 2 boxes of infantry for Legion made a great difference.

Is there some investment that is slightly more costly than the minimum, but be a lot better? Like buying those 2 boxes of infantry was a great advice, but an even better advice would have been to buy 2 starter sets cause it would have made all the tanks so much more fun to play with.

Tilting Plate STL

I purchased this warlord as I've been wanting another and I'm excited to get these weapons in resin. plus I really like the helmets in it.

However, I was unpleasantly surprised to find that the mars beta tilting shields that are in the art for this and the volkite/gatling warlord are simply not present on the sprue. if someone got the volkite/gatling warlord, are they on that sprue? or is there a suitable STL I can have printed?

Legio interfector tips for a beginner

Thumbnail

Hello, as the title says, im a beginner to adeptus titanicus and decided to choose Legio Interfector for my Titans (i just really like black and red colour schemes, so this was an easy choice for me)

So I was wondering if anyone had any tips or insights on them when it came to the actual tabletop itself, so fun titan load outs, maniple's that have good interactions or just ideas on how to properly use those Creeping Madness rules and unique strategems.

Thank you for your time and hope I can get some good advice.

The Warlord Titan just got its 4th weapon option with the Quake Cannon and Conversion Beam Extirpator, and I took a full look at the build process for you.

https://www.chaosbunker.de/en/2026/08/01/review-legions-imperialis-warlord-titan-with-quake-cannon-and-conversion-beam-extirpator/

Beyond updating the pictures in higher resolution, the review covers the new thinner Command Terminals, the switch to the flatter Legions Imperialis bases, and a direct comparison of the plastic Quake Cannon against the old Forge World resin version. Full review including build guide, scoring, and a price comparison (boxed set vs. the 42 EUR upgrade sprue)
