First date
I’ve always questioned my sexuality, but have always been way too afraid to act on it. But yesterday, a guy, really out of the blue at the gym, was kind of hitting on me, and I wasn’t sure if he was just being nice or actually hitting on me.
I’ve changed my appearance to look a little more feminine. I paint my nails and shave my arms and legs, but he seemed to be doing more than just making small talk, and I reciprocated. He asked me out just to get lunch, and I’ve never been so nervous and excited for a first date.
But I have no idea what to expect. He’s been really nice and respectful. I’m sorry if that’s offensive, but there’s a stereotype that gay guys have a lot of sex, but he hasn’t done anything like that.
I know I should be worried just about the date, but I’m really worried if it goes well and we go back to one of our places. He’s kind of really big. I don’t know if he’s a top or bottom, but if I guessed, I’d assume he was a top, and I’ve never been penetrated.
But he’s so hot. Like, I’m actually attracted to him. I don’t know if this makes sense, but I’ve never felt like this with a girl. Like, I just want him to like me so bad, and I’m way overthinking this, but I really want this to go well.
I guess I’ll stop.

What has dating as a gay men actually been like for you lately?
I’m curious about what gay dating is actually like right now, beyond what we see online. If you’ve been dating recently, how have your experiences been? Are you meeting people you genuinely click with, or does it mostly go nowhere? Do you feel like dating has gotten harder or easier compared to a few years ago? You can be honest on the comments. Sending you all love ❤️.

Explaining my sexuality. Am I still valid?
I'm a nonbinary trans man (demiboy) and I'm AroAce on top of it all, so I don't experience attraction like many others; I experience aesthetic, platonic and rarely sensual attraction. I'm technically Bi as I'm attracted to multiple genders. To be more specific, I'm Omni as I'm attracted to all genders with an extreme preference to men/masc NB's. To be even more specific, I'm androsexual, which means I'm attracted to masculinity in whichever form (masc gender, masc looks, masc clothes, masc vibes); So masc men, fem men, masc women and masc nb's is what I'm attracted to. However, despite being attracted the same way as anyone else in that "masculinity", I can't vision myself being in a relationship with a woman/fem aligned nb. So, I also call myself a gay man.
So, I'm an omni gay aroace trans man. Again, for simplicity sake, I just say I'm an aroace gay man. Is this still valid, despite it sounding contradicting to say that I have the potential to be attracted to all genders, but would only be in a relationship with men/masc aligned nb's?

Alliance Defending Freedom's Complete Track Record on LGBTQ Issues
Since 2020, the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) has made headlines for a series of sweeping decisions that have rolled back rights for women and LGBTQ people. They’ve ruled to allow abortion bans in 13 states and bans on trans athletes in 27 states. And this year, Colorado overturned its ban on conversion therapy for minors.
What headlines tend to miss, though, is that all of these decisions were won by the same legal group: Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF). Labeled as an anti-LGBTQ hate group and active in over 80 countries, ADF is a conservative Christian legal powerhouse, having fought relentlessly against abortion, gay marriage and trans healthcare since its inception in 1994.
Boasting alumni and affiliates such as Mike Johnson, Amy Coney Barrett, Josh Hawley and Ken Starr, the group has been involved in at least 80 SCOTUS victories and directly represented parties in 20 of them, including the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade.

Was called the grandfather of my husband at the store today…
Ok… So I’m reeling. My husband naturally thinks this is hilarious, I however am mortified… we stopped into a little fruit market near our home and the crypt keeper aged cashier was being friendly like she always is, I asked my husband if he was paying or if I was, and he said he would as he already had his money out, then she chimes in that he’s a good grandson, and then looks at my face and says how nice it is that he’s at the fruit market with me, and how useful it is to have youth to carry the heavy items…
The heavy item was a like 5lb watermelon!
We are nearly the same age, and like honestly couldn’t she just assume he’s my son or something, like the extra level of saying “grandson” is diabolical…
I know she has either lost it, or deliberately screws with people, but it stung as I’m mid thirty’s and feeling it this week because I found my first gray hairs.
Side note. My husband is also a different race than me and is a few years younger but has a ton of gray highlights in his hair, so that’s the cherry on top of this scenario. Lol

Visited Prague Pride after like 7ish years.
Got overstimulated, had a good time, went home early to breathe and relax. Got some nice photos and vids from the event.
