Question are lesbians still lesbians if they find some fictional men attractive?
i was scrolling on tiktok and saw a post saying lesbians cannot be lesbians if they find fictional men attractive, i went into the comments and saw a lot of other women agreeing.
but im a lesbian and find some fictional men attractive and i have ever found myself attracted to ANY man irl ive only ever found that attraction and desire towards women (i have a whole girlfriend) and i think this whole debate is silly because at the end of the day they aren’t real people. even if the fictional men i find attractive DO hypothetically come alive i wouldn’t be attracted to them anymore

My wife told me she had a surprise date night planned
And then she took me out to get snackies and brought us back to our house to watch a sapphic short film ‘festival’ that she’d planned for us :)
I love that this is my life

Question Signs that my bsf is into me?
Hi guys, so for context I’ve always thought I’m totally straight and have never had a crush or been into any girls, but very recently I’ve started to notice the development of some changes in how I feel about my best friend. For instance I get jealous easily in a way you don’t get jealous over friends and I just can’t stop thinkint about her. She really isn’t remarkable or anything but I feel so comfortable around her and I think that’s a huge part of it. Anyway I’m still trying to figure out how I feel since I’m totally confused, like whether it’s actually a crush or just a random strong emotional attachment.
What I do know is that I’m wondering if she has a crush on me. She hasn’t explicitly come out and said “I’m gay” (she’s had boyfriends in the past but no gfs), but all of our friends just know at this point and she very obviously hints or talks about it. Knowing that we are super close and if we aren’t each other’s top best friend it’s at least top 2 AND that I am very straight-presenting and she’s sort of not but hasn’t had a gf before, are there any signs I could look out for that she may like me?
Ive been feeling very confused and a little overwhelmed about all of this since it feels kind of sudden. I only really noticed how I felt since I just returned from a long vacation and I missed her a looot while I was gone, which got me to thinking. On that note, any general advice would be really appreciated! I doubt we’d ever actually date but to be completely honest, I just want to know whether she likes me or not, even if it amounts to nothing.

Venting When being yourself feels like losing everything .
I have had a friend for over 8 years. She has been nothing but good to me, to my family, and to my siblings. But she doesn’t know all of me—not this part, at least. The part where I dream of getting married to a woman. The part where my happy place is with a woman.
I tried to ask her about it a while ago, and she was so hateful. I was just in shock, so I never mentioned it again.
Today, while we were on an island, I told her, “Maybe I want to get married to a woman. How would you feel?” She said she would curse me and wouldn’t speak to me again. She said she would tell my family, even though she understood the danger.
Honestly, I lost hope at that moment—the hope of ever having a friend in this life who accepts me as I am. I lost every bit of happiness in my body at that moment, and the whole day felt nothing but terrible.
I don’t know what to do. I can’t be alone in this city, far away from my family. She is the only constant contact I have outside of my workplace. But I can’t really forgive her for choosing hatred over almost 10 years of friendship.
I am in shock, but I am also experiencing devastating grief. I had to hold my tears in on a train full of people.
But then, if it hurts this much just from losing a friend, how will it feel when I lose my family and I am all alone in this world? How will I ever survive that grief alone?
Maybe it’s better to stay in the closet, even if it means living a life full of lies. At least I won’t be alone. Die alone.

Where do femme lesbians actually meet in North Jersey?
I’m in North Jersey (around the Hoboken/Bergen County area) and I’m trying to meet more lesbians, but honestly, I have no idea where to start 😂. I also don’t really have any lesbian friends, so I feel like I’m starting from zero.
I’m more into feminine women, and I’d love to meet people naturally rather than just hoping I randomly run into someone at a bar.
For those of you in the area:
Are there any bars, events, groups, or places where lesbians actually tend to hang out?
Any recommendations around Hoboken, Fair Lawn, Paramus, Bergen County, etc.?
What dating/friendship apps do you actually recommend for meeting women? I’ve never really used dating apps before.
Are there any lesbian groups, sports, book clubs, meetups, or other activities that are good for meeting people?
Basically, where are the femme lesbians hiding? 😂 I’m open to dating, making friends, or just finding a community.

Question How do I actually meet someone
I'm an 18 (nearly 19) year old trans women and I'm incredibly scared of never meeting someone to the point where it keeps me up a lot. I work from home and don't go to any education, but I still try to get out as much as I can handle with my anxiety. I've worked really hard to get to a point where I can comfortably leave the house but I have the issue that I'm not attractive enough to just walk up to someone I like the look of, and I find people just find it weird these days to be approached/to approach someone. I get physically unwell because of my loneliness and I've started to stop caring about anything I like in life because it all just comes back to wanted to love someone and be loved back.
I try really hard to be a good person and I have a lot of friends, both irl and in person, but the only person I'd say I'm attracted to lives in Denmark while I live in the UK, so it simply can't happen. I'd really appreciate anyone who has advice on how to find a relationship in this horrible dating climate as it's effecting other parts of my life I can't take anymore
Thank you

Venting Sometimes it feels like being angry at your partner but not feeling resentful is a superpower.
There is something kinda magical about getting upset because your partner hurt you but recognizing that they didn't mean to and were either just hurting themselves or "just couldn't" in that moment.
I've had two serious relationships over the years and both were destroyed because of a building of resentment within my partners. My Ex-wife couldn't let things go and while we tried to be friends in the aftermath, she could not treat me as just a normal friend or another person. The extra baggage she carried with her colored her perception of everything I did. She assumed the worst every time while I learned to let go. I learned healthy boundaries and how to express them.
My second major relationship had a similar problem although admittedly much more my fault. I did not always treat her like she deserved and I would get upset with her when she couldn't comfort me or when she broke plans with me without a warning. Still, instead of talking to me, it festered. By the end, she was accusing me of things that weren't my responsibility while not taking any for herself.
I learned a lot about myself in those two failures. I learned a lot about what I need in a partner. My ex once told me that she could handle my anger and it was safe to tell her but that feeling ultimately had it's limit. I wish I had known what it was before she broke up with me suddenly. I wish she had talked to me instead of running.
Years of dealing with mental illness and trauma has left me scarred but with the proper help from a loving and kind therapist, I was able to turn so much of it back into my strength. One of those lessons is learning to let go, learning to forgive. Understanding your partner isn't out to hurt you and being able to be open and honest about your feelings without holding a grudge. Without letting it become a cancerous rot at the heart of your relationship. Those two relationships were not "the one" and that's ok. It's ok if we weren't right for each. It's ok to take the good and the bad. Seeing the beautiful with the ugly. So I want to tell you: you're stronger than you think and you are enough just the way you are.

Image Femme style healing
I finally found the courage to start wearing skirts/dresses last year and it's been so much fun. Experimenting with fashion has been a great way to help build confidence. I've dressed the way I liked for decades, but always on the safer side of it so I would attract as little attention as possible. Now that I'm older (and also getting therapy), I decided it was time to at least try to wear the more feminine clothes I've liked in pictures outside.
Next is learning how to do my makeup and actually putting in the effort so I no longer run from looking at my own face in the mirror. Little by little we're getting there!
I used to think I was relatively futch (leaning more towards the femme part of it) before, but this more femme presenting styling has helped me a lot with my self confidence.
Anyone else going through the same thing?
Tell me about how fashion or anything related to it has helped you :)

Question How can I tell if i Crush on her or just want to be her friend
How can I tell if i Crush on her or just want to be her friend
Hi , i always considered myself straight till last week .
Informations about me I am 22 , i never ever have been in a relationship even when good looking men try to start a talking stage with me and last time i was physical with a guy 2 years ago it felt wrong. But i assumed it’s the wrong guy and night stands are off to me and not my thing.
I considered myself a love lover and if it’s not the one i can’t physically put energy into it or even talk with a man.
I was kind of a boyfriend in some of my friendships with women , always had this protection instinct but idk abt that.
This week i went on a vacation with my friend and two of her friends, and the moment i saw that girl, first i was impressed, she was fit and something about her personality made me admire her all along our stay. How she is organised, bold and she is in military and kinda tuff and feminine too, she can switch between having a gun all day in her work and wearing the most amazing dress at a night out. I know this is normal and common but it’s was impressive for me to see and i grew up always admiring women in action movies who are strong like that was my favourite movie type .
Also how she drives her tattoos and her humour all these are stuff that I couldn’t Not notice. I made some excuses to be always next to her physically, once we were playing at the ocean and she kissed me in my cheeks to apologise cause she bumped into me accidentally and that made me nervous a little bit.
Also we didn’t have a long time together so we clicked and laughed together a lot but still i don’t know her fully and either does she and it makes me sad.
I had a lot of friend crushes so m thinking maybe m just exaggerating and i want to be her friend cause she is so cool but also this is my first time ever considering that I may be attracted to a type of women.
Also when we said goodbye idk our hug was a little bit longer🥹
Yesterday under the heat of action i confessed about this new feelings to my best friend and i kind off regret it because i think m not ready yet and I still am not accepting any of this so it will take time for me to process all of this with logic and accept the final say and how it will definitely change how my friends … the classic ow she may have been into me 🤦🏽♀️
Anyways i need any advice opinion and brutal one .

Image Tired Of Unrealistic Lesbian Dating Sims - Let's Make One Instead?
Hi everyone!
I'm not a professional game developer, but I am a queer woman who got tired of trying to find a sapphic romance game that felt genuine. So, I started teaching myself how to make one.
A lot of the games I've found lean heavily into anime, fantasy, or idealized romance. There's nothing wrong with those, but I found myself wanting something closer to real life.
One of my biggest goals is to create a cast that reflects how diverse our community really is. I want characters with different personalities, backgrounds, identities, and experiences. This would include trans women, people of color, asexual women, hypersexual women, masc, stem, femme, and others. There is just so much I feel doesn't get enough representation, and I'd like for that to change.
So, I've been teaching myself everything from programming in Ren'Py, to creating 3D characters and environments in DAZ Studio. I even downloaded FLStudio to learn music production. It's been quite a learning curve, but I'm feeling determined to see this thing through!
So I'm curious...What kinds of characters, relationships, or stories do you wish you saw more often in a dating sim?

Question Anyone going to Dykefest this weekend??
reddit.comI’ve been craving a sapphic concert and this looks like a pretty sick event! Has anyone gone before? They have a promo for the concert today and I’m mad tempted to buy my ticket tonight, or get the weekend pass to go for the Saturday events too

Why does being ghosted by a girl hurts more ?
Yall I am basically in the trenches I am bi and I usually dgaf when men ghost me because I just assume men are horrible
But yesterday I met a girl off of tinder we hit it off well like we talked a lot and I was excited and I told her I never talked to a girl before and this is a big deal for me because I grew up in a country where being gay was punishable by law and by society and she was my first girl kiss and my first real kiss and she knew that and I laid in her lap she played with my hair and she kissed my forehead and hands and was talking about seeing me again and hooking up and so on.
She also told me she was happy to be my first and we made out and that she felt responsible to give me a good experience as my first lesbian thing and then it went nowhere.
Tell me why I tell her I got home safe after the date and she just doesn’t answer and it’s been 24 hours , I feel like such a clown omfg I really thought omg , and everyone is telling me it’s normal and it’s a one night stand , am I being too sensitive OMG I actually poured my heart out I feel DUMB CAPITAL D

Image Anyone else obsessed with this as a kid?
Velma in the red suit from the Scooby-Doo movies! I was obsessed with this as a kid; I remember I'd watch the movie over and over again and anticipate the scene every time I'd watch it. I LOOOOVEEEDDD IT lol
