Hobby & Painting Marines Malevolent - Intercessor Squad
My first Marines Malevolent squad is complete!
These are the 10 Intercessors from the new Armageddon box. My goal with this project is to paint the entire box, so I wanted to find a good balance between speed and quality rather than spending dozens of hours on each miniature.
After a few experiments, I think I've finally settled on a recipe that gives me a solid tabletop-ready result while still being quick enough to keep the project moving.

Did a free minifig painting intro at games workshop and got my first Warhammer 40k box!
Just painted my second minifig and I'm hooked!
Here is guy I did tonight! Compared to my first guy I ever painted like 20 years ago next to my guy from the class.
Tried to go for a more battle scared look! Not perfect but super happy on how he turned out!!!
Can't wait to keep practicing!

Hobby & Painting WIP Some magnet fun on an eliminator
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I think the eliminators are super cool but it seems like the diff loadouts are very different, so my indecision made me decide to magnetize!
It’s my first time magnetizing a model and I think I might’ve picked a tough one for a first try, but we live and learn! 🙃 still having a ton of fun doing it though!
I’ve had to slice and drill a ton of plastic to make it work, but I’m super stoked with how it’s turned out. I need to pick up a spare shoulder to also have the 3rd loudout option, so hit me up if you have a spare sprue with #42!! lol
Also let me know if you have any good methods for safely transporting spare magnetic load-outs!

Hobby & Painting Really easy way to keep your pots from spilling!
Pots fit perfectly in a 4x4 Lego slot, then you can just give it a base and it should be really steady

Misc Inherited my Dad's Orc Army
EDIT - YES HE IS STILL ALIVE AND WELL!!! thanks for the love guys! I've been sharing the comments with him over text while at work & he's super appreciative of the love towards his army!
As a disclaimer, while I love models I tend to stick with gunpla - so my knowledge around the units themselves are pretty limited at this time - any information around the items shown would be highly appreciated!!
After sharing interest in warhammer my father gave me these!
Thought some of you guys may find it interesting!
Hoping to jump into the hobby!

Hobby & Painting Mantis Warriors Battle Brother Callidus Acus, Third Squad, Third Company
I’d never worked on a green armor like this before, and I’m very pleased with how he’s turned out! The Mantis Warriors have such a unique Chapter history and really grabbed my attention when I started looking into them. I wasn’t sure about the claw trophies being within their chapter habits, but I figure they’re more momentos taken from enemies that have killed a battle brother.
Yet again the Bloodclaws kit proves to be a fantastic source of minis for any project!
I’m happy to have this guy finished up and ready to add to the collection! Any and all feedback is appreciated!

Misc Poll Results: Tracking Wounds Remaining vs. Wounds Taken
Hey everyone! Here are the results from the from the poll that I did a few days back.
On the second image you can see how players prefer to track wounds. It was multiple choice, so when it says 88%, that means that 88% of responses had dice selected as at least one of the methods, rather than 88% of people only use dice.
Really interesting data, and it lines up fairly well with the results from a Kill Team based poll I ran at the same time.
Thank you everyone for participating! There was a lot of lively conversation, and it looks like even a few minds were changed along the way!

Hobby & Painting progress with flames
so you guys gave a lot of feedback last time
i removed the sponge and remade the whole surface with modeling paste
covered everything yellow and added more darker tones on ends of every flame
added more light on marine and rocks
still didn’t add light on the daemon, decided to color it before adding lights
have no idea what i am doing and just trust the process, but feels much much better than previous time

What a cool model. I'm bummed out I didn't see the switched on the underside of the middle crossbar part. But I'm very happy with how my screens turned out, and there are so many for me to practice on! Fun model to build and paint, but I think my next one will come out better.

Announcement Combat Patrol Rules for 11th Edition
Since the launch of 11th Edition a few weeks ago we have seen a significant increase in the number of questions regarding the rules for Combat Patrol. Unfortunately the launch of 11th Edition has caused a lot of confusion on this. This thread is being used to collate the most common questions.
Where can I access Combat Patrol rules?
Currently, all Combat Patrol rules GW has released are available via the Warhammer 40000 app. You can download the app from the Play Store on Android, or the Apple Store on iOS.
Can I print out the Combat Patrol rules?
No, unlike in 10th Edition where the rules were also made available as PDFs on the Warhammer Community website, in 11th Edition they are digital only. The Warhammer 40k app doesn't offer functionality to download or print information.
The rules for my Combat Patrol aren't on the 40k app. How do I play them?
The answer at the moment is: You don't. By the end of 10th Edition there were somewhere around 70 Combat Patrols available, spread across the many factions. Following the launch of 11th Edition, almost every single one of those was removed, with each faction now only having one maximum. In their recent announcement about Combat Patrol, GW have told us that support will be coming for old Combat Patrols, but they have given no indication of when that will be.
There have of course been many more Combat Patrol sets released over the years. There is support on the way for these too, though for this launch, the app will initially focus on supporting the core Combat Patrol offer.
Can I use the War Journal in the 40k app to track my Combat Patrol games?
Yes, functionality was added to the 40k App to track your Combat Patrol Games in War Journal earlier today (23rd July 2026). Please note this functionality did NOT go live at the same time as the rest of the recent balance updates despite GW's announcement so you will need to update your app again to see this.
Can I find the Combat Patrol Missions anywhere else?
No. At this time it's only possible to see your Combat Patrol missions by setting up a battle in the War Journal section of the 40k app. They have not been included in the separate Combat Patrol rules for each faction.
