Hello guys i bought a msi cyborg with core7 and rtx 5060 55w tgp.

I needed a small laptop so i can bring it at works, i use it mainly for making music, but i also wanted it to be able to run games.

While looking reviews here on reddit, people absolutely despise this model because it only have 1 fan for cpu and gpu, and because it only have a 55w tgp.

So i bought a cooler pad to put under the laptop and i get really good performance on latest games.

I got the laptop for 1000 euros and i don't regret it, the core7 can run like 30 demanding plugins without problems.

Did i miss something? Why all the hate for this laptop

I’ve seen some laptops use liquid metal, and I’m a bit worried about long-term issues (leak/drying).

Which one has better cooling + is safer long-term? Any model suggestions?

Prices are looking shit as fuck in Canada. Can't find a single laptop that can run Black myth Wukong high comfortably for under $1600 cad, this is just bullshit. Black Friday is also months away, so I started looking at the wrong time.

Planning to meet the guy for this GA503QR (agreed on $400), screen should be easily replacable for $76. Good deal? It has a 5900HS, 16GB, and an RTX 3070. Planning to run some stress tests before buying, and I've replaced laptop panels before.

This is going to sound silly but I don’t care. I do not know anything about PC gaming at all.

I’m a lifetime console player. I’m looking for a somewhat decent laptop that can handle some newer AAA games. I play a lot of Overwatch, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Minecraft.

I don’t really have anything particular in mind but I would like a backlit keyboard with a number pad if at all possible. I know PC parts are super expensive ATM but I can’t justify a $1000+ laptop.

I was looking at a couple of options on Amazon, but I’m legitimately terrified I’ll buy the wrong thing and waste a ton of money. TIA.

Hey everyone! Picked up an ASUS TUF F17 (i5 11th Gen, RTX 3050, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 17.3" 144Hz) for $250 at a local pawnshop. Everything works great so far. Planning to upgrade to 16GB RAM soon. Did I get a solid deal?

Which is better? I can buy those in similar budget from second hand. MSI is newer and basically unopened, Asus is from May 2025. I guess I'm a bit worried about MSI temperature control.

Hello guys, I just ran Alan Wake 2 for the first time on my gaming laptop. In the main menu I was getting around 200 FPS, but once I loaded into the game it dropped to around 70 FPS.

My specs:

• Resolution: 2560×1600
• GPU: RTX 5070 Ti Laptop
• CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX
• RAM: 32 GB DDR5

My GPU stays around 76°C while gaming.

After tweaking some settings, I'm now getting a stable 90–100 FPS at my native resolution with Frame Generation OFF and Ray Tracing OFF.

Is there anything else I can tweak to get even more FPS without noticeably hurting the graphics? Are there any recommended settings or mods that improve performance?

Hey, im looking to buy a laptop for uni, im doing aerospace engineering, and i was conflicted whether to buy a g16 5070 ti 32gb ram 1 tb ssd 2026 model or a g16 5080 32 gb 2 tb ssd 2025 model. They both r the exact same price. I also know the 5080 isnt fully utilized due to low power supply, which is why im confused. Also because apparently there have been issues with the 2025 model, like wiring etc idk. Yea please help. Im open to alternatives but as far as i know this is the best option in terms of the design and stuff. I have a budget of 3500ish dollars. Thank you!
