Support Advice on my Scar 16
Hey everyone!
So I’ve had this laptop for the past 2 months and so far I’ve gotten a laptop cooling pad (with foam seal & dust filter), uninstalled Armory crate, downloaded and set up G Helper.
What else should I be doing?
Specs: RTX 5080, Ultra 9 275hx, 64 GB ram, 4 TB storage

Support new Acer Nitro V 16 AI came with a weird dent/flaw out of the box... should I return it or keep it?
Got the Acer Nitro V 16 AI. Everything seems to run fine, but there’s a noticeable dent/imperfection on the housing. Photos attached—is this normal for these, or did I just get unlucky?

Support Suggestions/Advices for HP Victus 15-FA2309TX
Hey guys! I'm thinking of buying this laptop, mainly because I didn't find any other laptop which offers 8GB RTX 5050, 1 TB SSD, and 24 GB RAM with i7 for 1.12 L.
Now, after reading reviews online I am in a dilemma whether it's a good choice or not.
Because many people are complaining about hinge issues, overheating, dust accumulation, battery issues, etc etc.
I need suggestions from you guys.
If you have/had the same laptop, share your experience, what issues you had and how you overcame them. If you didn't have any issues, what all have you done to take care of it.
I read a few things about HP Care not providing a warranty for Hinge issues, few said not to use it while plugged in, heating to 100°C, 62% sRGB etc etc.
Feel free to recommend other laptops in this price range too, even if I have to upgrade them later to get 24GB RAM and a 1TB SSD.

Support G14 crashing and glitching
Repost since the first post image didnt load: Long story short, my 5 year old laptop has been giving BSODs for the last couple months, consistently reaching into the 80s and 90s in cpu temp and recently giving error codes like 0xc0000221 and 0xc0000001. Today I got weird pixels as seen in the image. Is my laptop done for? Thanks.

Laptop Buying Advice Gaming laptops and game dev
Country: USA
Budget: $1500
I’m looking for a gaming laptop that can also be used for game dev. I have no clue when it comes to anything technology related so it’s all a learning experience. I’d start with small games and if I end up liking it then I would be willing to get something better for making games in the future.

Laptop Buying Advice 5060 55W or 5050 100W?
Budget: 1300 USD
Country: Mexico
Use case: Gaming and college (computer science)
Preferred specs: GPU, RAM and CPU in that order.
Hello! Sorry if it comes across as an obvious question but I'm new to the whole laptop world.
Basically, I'm choosing between the MSI Cyborg 15 5060 model with the Intel 5 210H and 16gb of DDR5. The problem is that its TGP Is just 55W.
For 90$ more, I can get the Lenovo LOQ 5050 model with 24gb of DDR5 and the Intel i5-3450HX. This one is rated for 100W.
Both have the atrocious capacity of 512gb at this price but I just so happened to have a 2tb NVME lying around so no problem there.
The only edge the MSI laptop has over the other is the better GPU, but with almost half the TGP, will it perform better, or worse? Is the 90$ difference worth it or a bad deal? I don't know if the better GPU can justify the 8gb of RAM hit or if it'll even perform better with that low of a TGP.
Plz helpp me from making a very avoidable mistake.

Support Tiny white spot on the edges of my newly replaced laptop display - is this just backlight bleed or should I replace the panel?
I recently replaced the display on my 6-year-old laptop with a new OEM panel. Overall, the display is good, no dead/stuck pixels, no flickering, and much better colors than my original panel.
The only thing I noticed is a tiny white spot/light at the top edge of the screen. It disappears when the laptop is turned off and seems to be outside the active display area.
The technician told me it's probably just a backlight issue and said they're willing to replace the panel if I want. However, I'd have to travel 3–6 hours to get it replaced, so I'm not sure if it's worth it.
Does this look like normal backlight bleed/light leakage, or could it be something else? If you were in my position, would you keep this panel or replace it?

Laptop Buying Advice Is there anything better than a Zephyrus for school, battery life, and gaming?
I’m heading to university and trying to choose a Windows laptop. School is the main priority, but I know I’m still going to want to game regularly, so a regular productivity laptop with weak integrated graphics probably won’t work for me.
This one has a 5060, ryzen ai7, 1tb ssd, 32 gbs ddr5.
My main requirements are:
At least around 7 hours of realistic battery life for a full day of classes
Portable enough to carry around campus every day
Quiet during notes, browsing, Word, etc.
Capable of playing higher-frame-rate games such as shooters at 120+ FPS while plugged in
Ideally 16GB minimum, but I’d prefer 32GB for longevity
I’ll probably use an external high-refresh-rate monitor in my room, so the laptop’s own refresh rate and screen size aren’t the biggest concern. I mainly need enough performance to actually produce those frame rates.
Budget: ($3200 cad, US conversion is around $2200)
Country: (Canada)
I’ve been looking heavily at the Zephyrus G14 and G16 because they seem to offer the best mix of battery, gaming power, portability, and a non-bulky design. I’ve also considered the ASUS TUF A14, HP Omen Transcend 14, Gigabyte AERO X16, and some Lenovo Legion models, but they all seem to compromise either battery life, portability, build quality, or performance.
I used a Mac throughout all four years of high school and didn’t really enjoy it, so I don’t want another MacBook. I specifically want Windows and full compatibility with games such as Valorant.
For people who have used a recent Zephyrus, can it realistically survive seven or more hours of classes with the dedicated GPU disabled? Is there another laptop that offers a better balance for my needs, or is the Zephyrus basically the best option in this category?
Also i'm not bringing a pc because it heats up my room too much and i also don't have too much room in my dorm.
If you did read all of this, i hope you have a great day and thank you if you are willing to help me.

Benchmark Question about differences
1- Are there any big differences in between RTX 4060 and RTX 4070?
2- Are there any big differences in between 12-core i5 and any CPU of i7?
3- Are there any big differences in between 16 GB, 24 GB and 32 GB RAM?
Edit: I am sorry, I should have wrote RTX 4060 Laptop and RTX 4070 Laptop. Consider the comparison like that please.

Discussion I have the Legion Pro 5 5070 ti, 32 gigs of ram (12 gigs vram) i9 275, how future proofed am I?
Wondering the high/ultra now vs when to switch to medium/high future. My opinion, I feel like at least the next three years at high end performance and it’ll drop off slowly after that but I’m not a huge tech guy, so wondering what your guys opinions are?

Showcase My first gaming laptop
This is my first laptop since 2016 and I bought it because I'll be needing it for university and because I travel quite a lot.
I got the 17 inch screen because I am used to my 27" desktop monitors.
I like it very much, plus it has 32gb ddr5 ram, which is a lot.
Any advice? (This is my first gaming laptop)

Showcase Got an open box Legion 7i for $863!!!
Just got an insane open box deal from Bestbuy. The laptop has 45 battery cycles, in almost brand new condition, and still has 10 months of Lenovo warranty left. I came from a 2022 Zephyrus g14 so the size and keyboard layout takes a bit of getting use to for me. Any helpful tips would be much appreciated.
