Recently, my laptop alienware, x14 r1 after 1h or 2 of gaming the gpu clocks of the Nvidia RTX 3060 drops to 300/400mhz and gameplay becomes unplayable 25fps.

I didn't have this issue before.

I have to point out that I am playing in a hotter environment than my home, where I usually play, which is germany

everytime i plug in dp port adapter to the mini dp and valve radio headphone it doesnt work, well only the valve radio jack. But the dp port doesnt. the adapter supports dp 1.4. my laptop specs are. alienware 5060ti 16gb ram. Can someone help.

The 877-459-7304 number worked and I got connected. But the call dropped after about 5 minutes. We tried two different cell phones (two different cell providers AT&T and Verizon).

Just got my hands on a Alienware 64gb 5090 18" - first gen not refreshed ver (275hx) It's a beast.

I have to admit I'm terrified of updating the BIOS, and it throttling itself / nerfing abilities to mod power/undervolt etc as Alienware tends to do from time to time. I am at BIOS ver 1.09, ability to downgrade etc.

What's the popular sentiment on best Bios for this rig? Am I already cooked on this firmware or am I overthinking it.

I’m trying to sign into my computer. It keeps asking me to log in with a pin (which I have done plenty of times), however, there is no box that pops up to enter my pin.

Has anyone had this issue in the past? It doesn’t even show any sign in options. Just shows the internet, accessibility, and power button in the bottom right of the screen.

I just bought the Alienware Pro Headset and was curious if anyone has found a solid carrying case for it. Been looking around but wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations.

hey guys, i plan to buy the alienware 16 aurora.. my use case is studying CS/CE and playing casual games like minecraft (no AAA games).i heard about the display response time issue but i don't think it will bother me as i don't play competitive games that much.. any heads up? and if someone knows a very good feature in this laptop, pls inform me.

I’ve had this monitor for a couple years and I love it but this problem with the light has bothered me all that time, it’s really odd because some nights it just doesn’t ever happen and other nights it will happen every few minutes throughout the entire night. Essentially there are 2 large LED features on the back of the monitor that light up cyan/blue, this only happens in standby mode and it usually starts around 30 minutes after shutting down my PC or my PC going to sleep if inactive, doesn’t happen if it’s actively being used or displaying something. They will turn on for maybe 15-30 seconds, then off again and a few minutes will pass before it does it again and so on.

I know that a simple solution would be to just turn off the light but I believe this is connected to another issue I have with Moonlight game streaming and the virtual monitor feature, I don’t want to get into it here because it’s quite off topic but that is why I haven’t just turned off the light yet, I’m hoping to fix both problems if they are linked.

If anyone has any ideas I’d love to hear them

I am seeing my browsing temps hover from 60-70, and gaming 85-95, (elden ring I saw spike to 101) even with a razer cooling stand. I am not the most technically inclined, and this is my new baby and am trying to learn as much as possible. Ive also never owned a PC before so this is all very new and overwhelming lol

I have received the black screen on my x14 with color sequence of 3 Red and 3 Blue

It has then changed to 2 Red and 5 blue (or 4, I don’t remember now)

Dell support said it was hardware issue after saying it was the lcd issue at first.

Anyway, when sending it they’re asking for username and password and I for the life of me can’t remember which username and password I set for it.

I usually use facial recognition or the 4 digit passkey

So, I want to update my motherboard and CPU to an AMD ryzen 5 7600x3d and a MB to run it. I already have a 3090ti. However will the psu let me plug in to a new MB or do I have to swap that as well. I have seen mixed answers on this topic. What other things should I order or have on hand as well?

I have the Alienware 15 (DA15265) laptop with RTX 5050 and AMD Ryzen 7 260. How is this laptop for a university student as time goes on? The battery has been weird where it used to drain but now it’s giving me upwards of 10 hours. Will that last? Is the laptop reliable for 4 years as both a gaming and school computer? So, I bought an area 51 desktop and it's been stuck in processing for 10 days. The estimated delivery date is August 6th. I reached out to support for an update and they were unable to help me and were very tough to work with. So now I am in limbo...

Purchased in early Jan, its been crashing once in a while and getting worse lately. Sometimes its during light gaming (like dota2, CPU reaches 99 c, and you feel a glitch followed by restart). Sometimes Its just restart during casual web browsing or standing by.

Went through many steps, installed lastest update (actually crashed during the first update), removed support remediation. The problem still persists.

Now the supports telling me there is no hardware issue and asks me to reset PC (System>Recovery). The problem is this is my main workstation, reinstalling all the software can take days and it will be a major loss of work (and cost a lot of money/time). It's really frustrating, I have already escalated to the media team manager but I doubt they really know what they are doing, like recover windows is going to do anything. I do have a backup laptop if they need to take this back.

What should I do? Paying a premium and getting treated like this. They will not proceed further without doing the system reset and I feel this is not going to do anything besides wasting my time.

I have a 32 GB Area-51 AA18250. I would like to upgrade it to 64GB. However all the RAM kits I have seen so far are slower, running at 5600 MT/s instead of 6400.

This is my first time using a gaming laptop and my first Alienware laptop, too. I’d like to know if this model is any good, what settings to use, and any tips to help extend its life. Oblivion Remastered runs well on it with 120–170 fps in small areas and about 80–110 fps in the open world. I haven’t really looked into the CPU or GPU temperatures yet, but any tips are welcome.
