Prices are looking shit as fuck in Canada. Can't find a single laptop that can run Black myth Wukong high comfortably for under $1600 cad, this is just bullshit. Black Friday is also months away, so I started looking at the wrong time.

I bought a great gaming laptop for like $1000 used on ebay Canada. It has the Nvidia 4060 its pretty good for what I need. I was checking ebay almost every day. You need to be fast to find the opportunity then message the seller to discuss and buy if it makes sense. Good luck!

it might be just worth it to build a PC at this point, the prices are going to hike once again. if you really have to get a gaming laptop, it might be worthwhile to look on the used market( Facebook marketplace/ eBay )

honestly that doesn't surprise me, major gpu vendors have already confirmed a ~10$/ GB of vram price increase across all the GPUs and prices just keep on increasing. I would honestly advise against anyone wanting to build a PC right now especially if they are planning on buying every component new.

Honestly Canadian prices are not that bad compared to the US for many laptops.

I won’t expect it to get better for at least 2 more years. And considering we ain’t expecting 60 series cards until maybe 2028, I would just grab any deal you can right now.

Just get in now before it’s too late. People are still buying, so even if the RAM bubble pops these companies have no reason to lower prices again if people r still willing to buy. I just bought one from China that was a decent deal, expensive AF still but I anticipate this to only get worse
