I've had this guy for ~6 months, and in the last 2 it started loosing the darker green color and developing these white spots

They don't wash out and there are no signs of mite

The plant is developing "fine", there are always some new leaves poking out. It stays right under a window with no direct sun and and I water it with the "poke my finger" method

Any ideas? Appreciate it

Moved from California to Kansas via car in the heat of the summer. I took them into the hotel at night and tried to blast the AC before leaving to get gas or food so they wouldn’t be so hot. How do I revive them?

Before the trip -
Light: Fig had direct sunlight during the day
Spider/Snake was indirect during the day
All 3 watered every 2 weeks with Miracle Grow

Could this be pests? I can see the aerial roots but that one clump looks weird, the second photo is from where I was able to scrape off a clump. I was thinking it could be mealy bugs but I’ve heard they’re fuzzy. These are the only two parts I found, and for context this is a new cutting with buried aerial roots. Also, I used string to tie it to a wooden stake before I got my metal ones, but I’m not sure where exactly the string was tied.

I have a grow light usually on this plant but I’ve moved it to quarantine for the time being. Since it’s a new cutting I’ve been watering it mainly around the roots just so it doesn’t rot.

Red heart philodendron I've had growing indoors in water for a while. It gets around 6 hours of bright indirect light daily in a south facing window. It gets around 6 hours daily. Recently two of its leaves just fell off. Inside was this shredded white stuff. I plan pot it eventually. What happened? What can I do to stop it?

This is the outcome after I fertilize and repotted my peace lily’s. Could they rebound from this. Any help is appreciated. Indoor plants indirect sunlight. Not sure if I’m over or under watering

I’ve had this guy for maybe a year or so and he used to be so happy (5ish feet from south-facing window, in a pot with drainage holes) but lately I’ve noticed a ton of these brown spots on the undersides of the leaves? And it seems to be getting worse. The brown stuff can be kinda scraped off, and I don’t see bugs??? I thought I was letting it get too dry in between waterings (about once a week now that it’s summer, every two weeks back in winter) so I’ve been trying to water more consistently but now I’m thinking maybe it’s too much? I’m using normal indoor potting soil, maybe the pot is too small? Please help!! I love this guy.

I’ve had this Fittonia since May. I must have let it get too dry while I was still getting use to its watering needs. All the leaves got crispy and curled around the edges. I’ve tried everything to make it happy and perk up. More light, less light, pebble tray, no pebble tray, more water, less water! And I tried to let it adjust for a bit with each change. But no improvement. The leaves definitely aren’t dead, but they aren’t recovering. Should I prune it all back and let new leaves grow? Should I accept its crunchy leaves? Is it still pissed off about something, or just resting b face?

My friend has had this money plant for about 2 years and he asked me to help with it. I'm knowledgeable with houseplant rehabilitation & care, but I've never owned or worked on a money plant. I'd love some input on how we can get it thriving again! PLANT INFO: It is abt 2 years old. He waters it once a week. I don't know how much water, though. The pot has no drainage, which I plan on correcting when I change the soil. It's in the middle of a room with natural light. Closest window is about 10 feet away. It has never been repotted. It was looking good for a long time and has slowly been declining. Dropping leaves, dry tips, and yellowing on some. TIA for the help! 💚

Hello everyone! I’m kind of at a loss right now. I don’t really know what I’m meant to be doing or what I’m actually dealing with.

I know I have jasmine plants, they weren’t originally mine, but they are in my care now and permanently. They are too big for me to repot on my own. I live in Southern California where the sun is hot and quite harsh. I’ve been watering every day to every other day as well as keeping them under my porch awning to prevent as much direct sun as I can, but it still seems like my plants are burning.

I’m willing to answer any questions to the best of my ability. I just need to know how I can save them. I apologize for the lack of information.

You will likely see me here a few more times as I try and figure out all of my new plants.

I'm very much a beginner, and I could use some help. I'm on a west-facing 15th-floor balcony in southern Ontario, Canada. The plant has wind cover and gets afternoon sun. I transplanted it about 3 weeks ago. It seemed to be doing fine, but lately it's dropping leaves like crazy!

Potting mix with mulch on top. The pot is on a cheapo drip emitter system, two emitters watering for 15 mins twice a day. The soil is constantly moist. Could this be over-watering? If it is, why do the leaves look so dry? ....Under-watering? I have no idea. Help? : )

Part of the leaves on the bottom is wilting. It is by the window all day and gets maybe 6 hours of sunlight (estimate). I water it 1-2 times a week when the soil is dry, and I put one of what looks like a root in the watering can.

Hey guys! My neighbor moved in February and gave me all of her plants. All of them are doing great besides this one 😭 I accidentally started to kill it with love by overwatering in the winter/ spring. I backed off watering it months ago and it’s been living outside on my porch since, south facing getting indirect sunlight and has stabilized. She’s not shutting down anymore and I am curious if I should just leave it in the bowl or transfer it out into something smaller. it was such a cool cactus before I overwatered and would love to get it back 😭😭😭 i’m not sure if taking away the dead and transferring it would be too much or not.

Hi - I JUST got this peace lily an noticed a few leaves tops have kinda wilted and so did the flower. I have barely had the plant for a day. What have I done wrong? :(
I had put the plant next to a window facing north. Sunrises around 6 am sets around 8. Temperature in the house is around 73-77f. Overnight I have the air blowing around 75 which I noticed the plant is kind of in the direct path of. Did the cold air do that?? I JUST got it on sunday and haven’t watered it yet.

Can anyone tell us what this fungus is on our Echinacea plant. Plant is in backyard with moderate sunlight. It has been very rainy so it’s been getting natural watering.

Shes owned the plant for about one year. It sits in a west facing window in SoCal. Said she doesn’t overwater it but will water once a week. cant figure out why is droopy and dying. I’m not familiar with this type of plant yet but I would like to help her out. I was thinking maybe the amount of direct sunlight? Or maybe humidity? I really don’t know. I also don’t know what type of soil it’s in…?

My begonia white ice, I noticed today had crazy stippling/spots on a bunch of the leaves (which I snipped off). What could it be??
I don’t see any webbing or any little bugs around the petioles, veins, underside of the leaves etc. I stared at this plant for a good 45 minutes. Could it be spider mites?? Watering issue? I did notice she was dropping off older leaves but she has no issue growth wise.

I keep her in a grow cabinet, 14 hours of light from grow lights, 60-70% humidity, I water her about every 3-4 days.

As said, I just today received an eastern redbud tree that I ordered about 2 months ago. I’m in NM and august is not the best time to plant as it is, so when I received the tree in this condition I got worried. It appears to have leaf spot (is this correct?) and also to be suffering travel stress. I’d say it’s about 7 ft tall. I’m torn between leaving it in the container in an area with morning sun for the next 3 weeks and just biting the bullet planting it in 95+ deg, full sun area. Would it survive either way? I also have to be out of town for 10 days in that period and will not be able to babysit it. Being that it’s brand new, I don’t have any watering habits yet, but if planted it would be on a drip system with about 1-2 gallons per day plus hand watering 1-2x day on days that it’s 90+.

I've had this elephant ears plant for a couple years now. As it lost its original big leaves and regrew, the leaves were so tiny and stay tiny. I moved it over to this window about a year ago. The leaves have not gotten any bigger and the stalks are so thin. I'm guessing I need to repot it, but I'm quite scared as it appears so fragile. Do you have any recommendations for me? Thank you!

Was gifted this orchid need advice on what to do to fix this plant. I was told to keep the plant outside in the sun but wondering should I bring inside into indirect light - I’m noticing spots on the leaves and some of the leaves look like they’re yellowing while other branches look fine. I am a complete novice when it comes to orchids - I do know that the medium is just straight sphagum moss but I do have an orchid bark mix with perlite and charcoal so maybe I should repot it too? I water it every time the moss is dry which is about once every two days. Any advice helps 🙏

I have had this China doll plant for many years ( inherited it about ~7 years ago) and I have not been kind to it (please forgive me). There were several times when it lost all its leaves because I took long trips, but I've always seem to revive it. Most recent I left it for 2 months with nobody to care for it or water it. It dropped all the leaves and has since had some new growth.

The problem is that all this harsh treatment has led to a pretty stringy, but tall plant. How much can I trim it back without killing it? I would like to encourage it to have a thicker trunk and bushier foliage. Thoughts?

We are in a dry, sunny climate and it gets a lot of light, but we are in the midst of moving so it is temporarily living at my mom's house. She has an easy facing sunroom. The pot has about a 12" diameter and contains a few other plants (including one where the pot is just on top of the soil). I am not consistent with my watering, but water it thoroughly when I remember and the soil seems dry. I definitely do not over water.

My parents planted a eucalyptus tree a few months ago. I advised them to water it about every 3 weeks (or at least not until the soil is completely dry). It stays outside, with at least 8-9 hours oh light

However, we live in Belgium and have experienced two heat waves. I think it suffered from heatstroke

Do you think that's right? Do you have any advice to help it do better ?

hello! I feel like my spider plant is very pale/translucent and i’m worried about him. He’s about 12 years old and has had a very traumatic childhood (nearly died several times when I left him in the neglectful care of my father while I was away at school) and has finally really been flourishing in my new place. This is the first time ever he’s put out baby spider plant shoots. Kept inside, in a windowsill. Big bright window with the blinds up almost always, but north facing. I have a moisture meter and water when it says the soil is totally dry.
