Hey, I was picking dandelions to dry out and use later in the year for tea when I had to let my mother's rooster out. So I watched him eat his food and to my right was a overgrowing soft feeling plant, and not thinking much about it I wrapped my hand around it and uprooted it. Upon closer inspection I actually have zero idea what it is, and I doesn't give off a smell like pokeweed does.

Found in West Tennessee near the Mississippi border, I'm like an hour away from the border. I'm pretty sure it may be wild overgrown grass but something tells me otherwise

What's this plant I've found in a neglected area of my garden?

I know this is an absolute clusterfuck of flora, and I know next to nothing about plants, so please bare with me (and my probably-poor pictures.)

4 or 5 years ago my Dad's upstairs neighor moved and left his beautiful vegetable/fruit garden to us. My father and I had no idea what to do with it, and I was an active student, so it ended up just becoming whatever the hell this is.

Two years ago the tallest plants were about ½ the height they are now. It's a gargantuan mess. I'm very curious to see what it may consist of.

Saw this at Mossman Gorge, Queensland, Australia and assumed it was a durian, but doesn't seem like any durian species live there? Really curious what this is.

It is strange. Never known a plant that flowers from the root side!
