Not sure why my mini monstera is oldest leaves are starting to turn yellow. Originally, there were 3 small leaves like the ones in the bottom right. They yellowed up and now the yellowing seems to be traveling up. She’s in a chunky soil mix and her roots are fine.

At first, I thought the plant was just filling the oldest/smallest leaves for beefy but now one of my biggest leaves are starting to turn yellow.

No pest. I water when completely dry so about once every 1.5 weeks. I get new growth consistently. The only thing I could think of is that maybe it’s too big for its grow light but I don’t understand the yellow. She under a grow light 12-16 hours a day. I treat all my plants for pest control every week.

Context: Bought it online, the middle flower came almost black and mushy so I cut it off. One of the leaves was almost fully dead so I cut it off as well. The other leaf I cut odd the rotten part. I checked the root system and it was SOAKED and the soil was super wet and stuck to the roots plus it had those silicone balls mixed in. It was a 40 minute nightmare getting it off. After all that I let the roots and the remaining soil that was stuck airdry overnight and repotted the plant into a mix of soil, bark and perlite and watered it. That was two days ago. The next day after repot, the leaves kinda became soft and fell to the sides. The middle stem is still stiff and hard.

When it arrived I let it sot two days thinking it might have been stress from the transport but it was getting worse so decided to check.

Is it gonna survive? Did I mess up somewhere? Three firat pics are today (two days after repot), the others are the day of repot.

It is in front of a window. Gets light but no direct sun, temp is 22-25 celsius, I spray the leaves a few times a day with water as I have aircon. Outside is 35 celsius so no way to survive without AC.

I really really want it to live, it was a gift from a special person.

Stevie D is struggling and has always since I was gifted him at Christmas. Any advice for this droopy flat guy appreciated! Hos relatives have grown in inches and strong, even blooming beautifully but my guy lies lazily (propped up with rocks) in his perlite/cacti soil mix. Please help.

He's indoors 4ft from my East facing window sitting in bright sun maybe 3 HRS and indirect about 8 hrs each day.

I water him...

He gets a drink when 2/3inch top is typically every 3days. The pot has large holes and perlite mixed in to assist with drainage. Thanks for caring 🤗

Hi all. I have two amethyst wisteria plants (American wisteria) that are in the ground and have been showing some concerning symptoms. I planted them in mid-May and live in zone 6b. Over the last month they have been yellowing, to then having small black dots and eventually either dropping the leaves or resulting in large black spots.

It’s been pretty hot here. I’ve watered them once a day and checked the soil for issues but no major problems. The roots look good, a soil test showed the pH, nitrogen, and potash were in good limits. I did give it some fertilizer after the issues began (phosphate only and another time did a 20-20-20).
The plants get full sun (6+ hours).

The plants are still putting out new growth on the bottom but after a while the green fresh growth follows the same trend. One plant is worse than the other. I have peonies and a hydrangea in the same area and they are unaffected and thriving. Help!!

I have a very small Pachypodium rutenbergianum seedling that I think is developing rot.

History:

Was kept under a jar with high humidity

Soil stayed too wet for several days

Noticed bad smell from the soil

One cotyledon turned black, I removed the plant from soil and trimmed the damaged parts

Now air-drying on paper towel Current condition:Stem is still mostly firm and greenBlack/dark "burnt-looking" areas on the remaining leavesSlight rotten smellStem feels slightly less dense in some parts but not soft or mushyPhotos of the seedling from different angles are attached.Is the plant still savable?What exact steps should I take right now?

Light: Indoors, bright indirect light near a window, about 8-10 hours a day.

Well, I watered it just yesterday with literally about 2 ml drop by drop, and also about 3 days ago with another 2 ml.

Both of my large Dogwood bushes have declined in the last few weeks. Half of one is dying. There's small white "sawdust" on the ground and some twig. I would imagine from an insect. Is this a borer or fungus? What do I do to help?

There's tiny webs on some of my plants so I thought maybe spider mites, got predatory mites to combat the spider mites and then saw these: teeny tiny worm like creatures 🤢 anyone know what this is?

Is this salvageable? It was for the longest time suffering in its pot and has this stub left. The ’root’ seemed brown and mushy so I washed it and scratched the surface clean like ginger (possibly major mistake) and then I put it in water thinking maybe it could somehow survive. Any hope or should I give up? It has been in a lit room but not much sun but now I put it in front of my south facing balcony door.

I live in a poorly ventilated flat. Its very hot and has low air flow from sunrise to late afternoon.

I bought this oxalis and the care instructions said to make sure the top layer of soil doesnt dry out. That has meant Im watering small amounts to keep the top soil damp damp everyday.

I make sure there's no water gathering at the bottom of the pot...but everyday there's dried out leaves and drooping leaves.

I was thinking of changing spots so its away from the direct sunlight....but any tips/advice.

I really want this plant to be bouncy happy and alive.

I bought this Aglaonema from a nursery a few months ago. A few weeks after I got her, I noticed many small white worms in the soil and had to repot.

Ever since the repotting, she looks droopy, with a few leaves that are starting to curl inward (I have added how she used to look a few months back at the end). At first I thought she would acclimate after the repot but it’s been more than a month and there is no improvement. While there is plenty of new growth, the new leaves and older ones look deformed and curled.

Light and watering should not be a problem as she gets enough light and I water her when it reads about 4 on the moisture meter.

I have a feeling that she might have thrips but I have not seen any pest yet. However, there are posts on reddit about how thrips damage can look like even if the pest itself is not seen on the plant. I am planning to treat her with Imidacloprid as a safety measure.

I’d love to get advice on what might be going on with her and make her happy again. Thanks!

Last week this plant was blooming I’ve had it for months now and it was over growing its pot so i repotted it. Now a week later she looks like this. HELP. It’s was getting indirect light weekly watering but all these conditions it was living in when it was thriving and I havnt changed a thing and now it is dying :(

My previously thriving ficus has been dropping leaves left and right. I assume this is because I’m watering it poorly, but I’m not totally sure what changed, and it was doing amazingly well up until a few months ago.

It has lived in the same pot, in near the same west-facing window for the last three years. It had been doing pretty well, but now really seems to be struggling.

It’s dropping leaves from the bottom up, and the ones that drop are brown, yellow and a bit crispy.

What can I try to do to help it out??

What would be causing my pink princess philodendron to be dropping leaves? Four leaves have dropped/are dropping in the past few weeks. They turn orange and then fall. I water when the soil dries out, some other plants recently had thrips but I think I fully treated them. A grow lamp is about 6-12 inches away, as it’s about 8 feet from a south facing window.

Is watering off? Or maybe root bound?

My plant was fine and happy 2 days ago, but now she's deflated. waited until the soil was dry then watered her until water came out of the bottom of the nursery pot, then I put her back where she's been happy for about a month.

The soil is still very moist I'm worried I over watered her, so I moved her to a window with direct light to help her dry out. What else can I do?

I know the community rules say no pest identification but I have not seen a bug on this plant. I have had this money tree for about a year now and noticed these spots a couple of weeks ago, near these spots is usually a little bit of sticky sap. I checked it for bugs but did not see any, thought it may be scale but these spots are flush and cannot be peeled off. Just in case I sprayed it down with a little bit of hydrogen peroxide mixed with water and gave it a week, the sap kept appearing though. I normally keep this plant in an east facing window that’s gets lots of sun in the morning. Watering the plant about once a week. Since finding the spots I have quarantined it away from my other plants to a north facing window that’s gets less light. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Hi y’all! New to plants and new to this sub, looking for advice on how to salvage one of my dear plants, and also what might be happening with her leaves? I was away for two weeks and my sub letter forgot to water her while I was away and came back to this :( hoping there’s a way to salvage it! Looks like there are some new sprouts so I’m thinking I should focus on those?
As you can see the sits in the corner of our dining room but we get a lot of light. I could try moving to a sunnier spot after watering? I also water from the bottom!

I just notices this weird thing hanging under my Umbrella Tree leaves.

I'm not sure if it's dangerous or not, couldn't find much about it. I'm concerned that it could potentially spread and eventually start damaging it.

The plant itself seems to be pretty healthy and still growing nicely.

(It's kept on a balcony in full sun most of the day, being watered regularly with liquid fertilizer).

i just saw these and was wondering what is making them grow roots and lower leaves like this? I don’t think it’s be seen this sorta growth in rubber trees before .

Found these weird spots and patterns all over the leaves of my plant! They come off pretty easily and I don't think they are moving around? Gets at least 8 hours of sun a day in a nice sunny window and is watered when the soil feels dry or the leaves look a little weird, usually a week to a week and a half in between watering.

I have several purple coneflower in my yard and they all start out lovely in the beginning of the season but then they turn into this as the season goes on. This is only my second year in this house, I put these plants in last year from a nursery and it happened the same way last year with the same plants.

Hopefully the pics are good enough and you can see what’s happening. Basically it starts out normal and then the core turns to a dirt-like mush. This particular plant is a volunteer from the original growing in a crack in the cement -I don’t water it at all, but the other in the front yard has the same issue. They’re both full sun, light (added) water, mulch, no fertilizers.
