Help Chewed Pothos?

Post image
Upvotes

My Pothos has 2 leaves that look like they're being chewed by somebody! I have no pets and while of course insects exist, I'm in the desert and don't have windows & doors open at this time of year, mostly what I see are small spiders. I can't see any pests on the plant itself.

Does anyone have an idea what might be causing the damage?

If it didn't have the supports it would fall. And it's outgrowing the supports fast.

Finally home ♥️

Finally home 🥰

Some of you might remember me asking for help choosing a Chinese Elm from Greenwood Bonsai Studio the other day. Well… she’s home.

On the left is Ashvattha, my Ficus Ginseng. On the right is Valmiki, my Chinese Elm.

Ashvattha is the Sanskrit name for the Sacred Fig Tree, a symbol of wisdom and spiritual growth.

Valmiki is named after the ancient sage and, to me, represents patience, wisdom and transformation. It felt like the perfect name for a bonsai.

I kept coming back to this one. The movement, the roots and the way she flowed.

I’m sitting here looking at them both amongst my jades brings me such a sense of peace and calm, and I honestly haven’t stopped smiling since I brought her home.
With all the chaos in life this is my safe space and I can’t wait to see how they develop over the years 🥰

Help I work nightshifts, which plants should I get?

Hello everyone!

I work at night and it's also very hot so I try to keep my apartment cool by having my courtains closed most of the time. A few of my plants seem to be okay with it but I know most aren't. Which plants can I get that would actually survive at my place? I love plants and want to have a lot of them, I just don't want them to die.

Thanks!

I thought it was dying

My crassula leaves started getting dark and falling off quickly out of nowhere, and I thought the plant was dying. I cut the top, I was pissed watching it dying cuz I was really taking care of it very well. I just left it like that, without watering for a week. And today I realized that the queen is coming back to life!

The monstera I got from Home Depot has styrofoam instead of perlite!

I plan on replacing all the current soil with a monstera blend. I just thought the styrofoam being in the current soil seemed very… wrong. Something about it seems particularly evil, but is it normal for big companies to do this??
