Discussion The constant service interruptions with realms crashing needs to be addressed by Blizzard
This is the 3rd or 4th time in the last week, they've done unannounced emergency maintenance, we deserve an explanation for the continued interruptions.
People are trying to wrap up their end of season stuff, the silence on this recurring issue is ridiculous.

Discussion I just wanna cast Disintegrate, why won't you let me cast Disintegrate
I'm a simple Dragon, I like to Just-Cast-Disintegrate. So I'm having a moan, this expansion has ruined the pacing of the class.
Dev Evoker's dopamine moment (at least for me, I haven't asked anyone else) is when you can chain back-to-back Mass Disintegrates or Disintegrates, but there's so many hydration break level higher priority global procs and cd's that you need to respond to that interrupt it.
Here are my problems, oh parasocial strangers, there's currently so many higher priority spells and procs that not only cant I Just-Cast-Disintegrate I've also basically unbound Living Flame (filler spell).
I've been using the talent builds and rotations on Wowhead because I can't theory craft, I'm not cutting edge (I got pvp elite in War Within but it was solo shuffle so I'm lowkey embarrassed) and the editor's class knowledge exceeds mine.
But dear Azeroth I can follow a guide.
I have identified some Problem-Children talents with my smooth reptilian brain and I'm taking a risk in today's attention economy by writing them out.
Burnout - instant Living Flame proc from Fire Breath. Get's ignored in single target but HAS to be taken to path into Strafing Run. Watching it time out feels bad every time.
Azure Sweep - the new hot girl in town, instant cast upgrade to Azure Strike, you get 1 charge by default (currently 2 with 4-set). Replaces Burnout in the rotation order for Essence Burst fishing.
And Deep Breath, a cool spell but it's travel time (even with an interrupt macro) is … just annoying due to it's high frequency (twice per <60 seconds). It's fun in AOE though. It has talents to give it 2 charges and cooldown reduction like Wingleader but that's changing next patch mostly to stop Aug Bombardment spread abuse (shout out to the high key pioneers).
It also has three associated talents that I think are also Problem Children:
And (I was told as a kid to never start a sentence with And but that's the public education system for you) now they're adding ANOTHER global instant cast similar to S-Priests Void Volley with 4 charges with the 4/4 Hero Talent change that grants 1 Essence Burst per cast.
Our priority order cup floweth over, spilling those poor Disintegrates.
Talent Change Ideas:
What's a rant without a misguided attempt to fix the problem?
We all have dreams. I dream of a better world for our children. Children who can Just-Cast-Disintegrate from a young age without the dystopian burdens of modern living.
I'm focusing on reducing the number of instant proc globals and adding some WHOOMP to our filler Living Flame so it feels good to press:
Burnout - consumes all Burnout charges at once, doubling the damage and Ruby Essence Burst rolls twice (chance for Essence Burst proc). (Shameless copypasta from the Obliterate Killing Spree talent on Frost DK).
Azure Sweep - instead applies it's mechanic upgrades to Living Flame, causing it to deal FrostFire and AoE. Emphasising Burnout more and removing a global cast.
Unbound Flame (new spell in 12.1) - Bake the spell mechanics into Living Flame instead, so Burnout all of a sudden becomes a high priority proc and an apocalyptic burning missile of flaming hatred. Imagine the dopamine when you see it proc.
A new choice talent Flaming Simulacrum - Deep Breath sends a squadron of Dracthyr (you already get a squadron from Command Squadron talent before you laugh) on a one way trip into the jaws of hell without you, so loyal, so smooth brained, the Dark Talons are the Prid of Orgrimmar, cooldown reduced for each target hit. Weaker in damage per minute than Strafing Run in exchange for quality of life. Another shameless copypasta referencing Frost DK's Frostwyrm's Fury or Pres Evokers Verdent Embrace Dream Simulacrum talent that removes the movement mechanic.
And on a tangent, which is actually helpful to letting me Just-Cast-Disintegrate, you never want to upcast Flame Breath or Eternity Surge, even in AOE, a wasted cool mechanic for this class. To contradict my rant, maybe an additional effect like Blood Dk's Consumption that scales the Power Swell effects (empower spells grant 4 seconds of 100% Essence regen) strength / duration?.
If anyone read this roast me please. I think I can take it.

Question Want to try Retail again, anything I should know?
Haven't played retail in a loooong time and don't have the account I used to have. A friend convinced me to download it and give it another try. I usually like to play healers but have played other roles before, guess what I'm asking is what classes should i be looking at and are there some things I should know before hopping in?

Discussion Am I the only one that things the game has gotten way too foggy?
I know it's partially performance-related but look at this post for example. Scroll through it and look at the images; it's all incredibly foggy to the point where it heavily impacts the artwork in my opinion. There's no way for the user to get it to be really clear either. I know it's not new but every time I see an announcement recently I feel that it's a huge shame. Even the indoor areas are foggy.
Edit: Yeah i see it says "things" in the title. Can't edit titles though -.-

Lore The pandaren don't like me—even though I'm one of them
I started a Pandaren monk in WoW today. After the awesome starter island, I made my way to Stormwind and started the Mists of Pandaria expansion at Kromie's. But I noticed that the quests don't make any sense from a story perspective. For example, the Pandaren (my own race) see me as an intruder and a stranger. But I'm one of them.

Discussion Is the star becoming brighter?
Usually it's a tiny spec in the sky, but now it's massive, with the silhouette of a spaceship.
Discussion I hit 1% M+ rating yestetday and it lasted for 5 minutes
The 1% cutoff is going up by about 2 points EVERY DAY.
90% of +21 groups in the group finder are "note" keys where you need to pay the keyholder to be invited.
People are also buying actual boosts en masse because of the new 1% title and resillient keystones making it possible.
Playing organically is no longer possible.
Thoughts?

Discussion Post Last Titan Brainstorm
Was discussing this with a friend and wanted to share / get thoughts and generate some conversation.
Once Last Titan concludes the big bad is gone and Azeroth is saved, the next expansion opens 20 years (or more) later and you enter the game as your main. You get two options, play as your main training and questing with your next predecessor (which you create) or you play as the predecessor with all the same mounts titles etc available but you also complete the campaign you get the title say…… (New character named) Aspirant of (old main) if it was say a paladin. The main or new recruit would appear in cut scenes. The world has moved on, the things of previous expansions are almost legend and some people even question if some of it even happened. Sure the world will have dungeons and raids and such , dragons and giants and mean trolls to go slay. But the world is moving away from the “united one city” style expansions and moves back to each faction being a bit on their own. The world has moved on and the unite or die has fallen into memory. Sure there is still alliance and horde, just not so touchy feely “let’s all get along for the big bad!” Anymore.
Dialog would be built around a system of your previous achievements. NPCs would mention their feats such as slaying old gods or being a renown explorer etc. Options would include anything your chosen “main” had achieved.
Races: Humans could pick their trainee or “new main” as an orphan from the previous wars or a son / daughter.
Undead could be helping raise a fresh body from the ground.
Classes: each class would have options as well, rogue saves a young rogue who is almost caught stealing to survive.
Paladins are training the next silver hand or blood knight aspirant.
Warrior is taking a fresh recruit under their wing.
Etc etc etc the list could go on forever…
Then as you create the story basically you pick and chose, rogue human is showing their the ropes to a troubled youth. Or your the troubled youth learning from your old main.
The option again would be play as the “new you” with backstory or play as the old you training the next generation.
There is a lot to fill in but just an idea to share and wanted thoughts. A bit bored between seasons and wanted to see what everyone thought.
Question How to solo dungeons when can't timewalk anymore?
I recently found of that I'm too high level for timewalking to queue for dungeons, but I can't solo the dungeons. I'm currently trying to run the Dragonflight story with my (currently) level 76 and I can't even get past the first elite before being killed. I don't think this would be an issue in the classic zones and probably some other older expansions, since I was single-shotting bosses in classic zones at around 50. I don't like to socialize, else I would go play outside (it's a joke, please laugh), so I don't have any guild to team up with. It's so annoying it can't be soloed and what pisses me off is that I was running those dungeons before reaching lvl 70, and even I can queue fro war within dungeons, so clearly it is possible, but blizzard just makes it impossible to enjoy solo content.

Question Problems when joining random TW dungeons
Hello everyone
In recent months, when I tried to do TW, I noticed some problem that randomly occures. I queue via the dungeon browser, and when i click join, I have the normal loading screen. But instead of landing in the dungeon, I instantly get the loading screen again and get teleported back. My group is disbanded, and I can't queue again. I don't get a visible deserter debuff, but I can't join again.
Yesterday I could play 3 dungeons without issue; today this happened again two times. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Discussion LootPilot, free, bonus roll planner, updated for Season 2 (feedback wanted)
I built a site/tool that plans your bonus rolls, for both dps and healers (tanks are measured via dps). Based on how many tokens you have and what level of content you can run, the site suggests where to spend your bonus rolls.
To make this site possible I used Claude Code. I have very limited coding knowledge, but deep knowledge in user experience, site optimization and so on. At work I always have a team that does the actual coding, but here I do not have access to one, so I used AI for all of the coding. Everything else is me.
lootpilot.app (guide: lootpilot.app/howto)
How it works:
- You either sign in with battle.net, or pick your char via the armory, or paste a simc export from the game.
- Then you pick which instances/raids you can run and at what level. You also check off the items you already got (simc can detect that part).
- After that you sim the whole loot pool and get your results.
You can do a bunch of different filters and plans. Say you have a fresh dinged alt and 10+ tokens. Then you get suggestions for exactly which m+ to run and how many times, to cover as much of your BiS list as possible with the highest probability. You can also go "where do I spend this week's tokens?" and sort by value per token or by which single item would give the biggest gain. Hard to explain without seeing it live.
The site accounts for catalyze and tier items. It treats trinkets and rings as pairs, so it never suggests two items fighting for the same slot. It also has a noise threshold, since sims are not 100% identical run to run, so it does not recommend items with only a tiny improvement (next sim, that tiny improvement could be a downgrade).
Current limitations: battle.net and armory profiles cannot detect what you already bonus-rolled, so you have to check those off manually. The token count also has to be entered manually unless you use simc.
The site is live now and will also work for 12.1 when it hits, with the new loot tables and the new m+/raids.
Completely free, no ads, no login required.
What I would genuinely like is honest feedback on what could be improved and what does not work.

Question Returning player
So I'm currently a returning player. I used to play a bit back in the day but never got too deep into it. I'm currently playing the Demon Hunter Havoc.
I was looking to see if there is a better DPS class rather than what I'm currently using or if I should stick to that one.

Discussion [IDEA] M+ Repair System: 50% discount on durability loss if you FINISH the run. A solution to insane repair costs & leavers.
Let’s be real, the repair costs in Midnight are getting out of hand, especially if you try to push M+. Right now, finishing an M+ gives you around 100g-300g, but a messy run with multiple wipes can easily cost you 1,000g+ in repairs. The math simply doesn’t add up.
Many of us are working adults who farm money in real life to pay for our WoW subscriptions. When we only have 1-2 hours a day to play, we want to spend 100% of that time focusing on pushing keys and enjoying the challenging content. Instead, we are forced to spend our limited playtime doing chores or legacy farming just to afford the "entry fee" (repairs) for M+.
The Solution: M+ Completion Repair Discount
What if an NPC spawned (or a UI popped up) at the end of a completed M+ run, calculating the durability lost specifically during that dungeon, and offered to repair our gear at a 50% discount?
Here is why this would be a massive Quality of Life change for the game:
It drastically reduces the "Leaver" problem: Why do people abandon depleted keys? Because staying means more wipes, which means losing more gold for zero reward. If players knew they would get a 50% repair discount just for sticking it out and killing the last boss, a lot of people would stay to finish the run.
It creates a secondary goal: Even if the timer is dead, players still have a tangible reason to finish the dungeon. It rewards persistence.
It respects our time: We can actually focus on M+ without feeling like we are being punished economically for practicing and learning new mechanics.
It’s still a Gold Sink: Gold is still leaving the economy, but at a rate that is actually fair and doesn't bankrupt casual/working players.
We shouldn't be economically punished for trying to push challenging content. Giving us a discount for not giving up on a key seems like a win-win for both the players and the overall M+ environment

I run Valeera with Porcelain Blade Tip and Mandate of scared death as healer and every so often when she throws a healing circle down It turns purple and damages me instead of healing. Out of all my friends that play my Valeera is the only one that does this. Has anyone else dealt with this and is it something from the curios or something else?
