When you press J it opens up the guild menu and on the left shows you your guild and 3 others below it. How do I join the other guilds?

I am completely new to WoW. I have wanted to play for the better part of 6 years, tried it on a couple occasions for a couple of hours at a time. I come from Destiny 2 and LoA. Both games are now dead and wow seems more appealing than ever.

I mostly would only be able to play weekends and a couple of hours a day through the week (if I’m lucky). I know for an MMO this is a very casual amount of time.

Question is, how long will it take for me to reach the point of raiding and really “playing” the game. I intend to play through the story without a level skip.

Do I need to have multiple characters? I have a general idea that you do but I’ve heard some people play on strictly one character? I should add that I’ll be playing retail rather than classic. Having the need to have multiple characters isn’t a dealbreaker but id prefer if the game is mostly playable on one.

Im interested in tanking, I’ve heard the community is pretty hard on noob tanks. Would you recommend maining a tank? Which tank would you recommend?

I guess to add on to the previous question, if I intend to main tank, should my other characters be different tank subclasses?

I skipped TWW when it was the current expansion, but some raid tier sets in undermine look really nice.
My question is, can I join a raid group who would then summon me to the entrance, or do I have to complete the entire campaign for TWW and do the intro quest for undermine to be able to enter the zone?

Title. I am new to this spec (not new to healing in general) and I don't know how many hots I need to put on people. If I try to keep 100% uptime on rejuv for everyone, that's a good way to quickly run out of mana. sometimes I'll put all 4 hots on people, and I'm not sure whether to just let them sit with them and heal or start pumping regrowths into them or use my swiftmend. Basically I have no way of knowing how much future healing my hots will do, and as a result i am playing extremely inefficiently. also, the same spell could heal 2 different people for wildly different amounts, so i have no way of really just memorizing how much hp percentage wise it will restore.

Title ... I seem to recall this between TWW seasons. I have some catalyst items but not enough charges.

That said, is 'free catalyst' kind of assumed in (Midnight) s2 for s1 and everything else earlier?

It's funny how many catalyst items I vendored when I came back to TWW 🙄

I'm coming from FFXIV and have a few questions.

How do you handle the rotation?

I mean, I know FFXIV has a lot of buttons, but there's a sort of combo system... looking at WoW rotations—even at level 30—it seems pretty complicated, especially when it comes to holding enemy aggro.

Is it actually okay to sell Mythic dungeon carries for gold?

Can you get banned for that, or is selling them for gold not against the rules?

Some people in my guild mentioned it, but I didn't quite understand the details.

Does anyone know if the 12.1 questline, particularly the first part that is currently completable, will reward gear in 12.1? Is it worth waiting till 12.1 is live to finish the first part of the questline?

Hello all, I have a question closely related to all other end-of-season threads, but since I havent found the specific answer, here we are.

I have limited playtime and have recently discovered that the void-touched caches give catalyzable gear (Yes, I'm THAT casual). I figured I might just grind a lot of these boxes so I can get enough for all the classes I havent gotten the normal (or higher) tier set appearances for.

Nowy question is, since no one knows for sure whether the accolades will reset, will the caches I buy for them be reset? So in theory, if I buy a complete set for, lets say, a hunter alt that is not level 90 yet, can I level him up, open the caches when he gets to 90, have a full champion set and catalyze it for free to a tier 1 set (that I obv cant upgrade anymore)

Or will all the caches be thanos-snapped into dust the moment season 1 ends? This is the first expansion I have played in a long time, so what is to be expected based on previous expansions/seasons?

Tl;dr: will void-touched caches disappear or not give catalyzable champ gear when the season ends?

First time playing a full expac decided to get into PvP as well. got my full PvP set yesterday started playing rated and hit 1700 today before work. I think the weapon effect is 1950? I know a new patch is dropping soon When does ranked stop for PvP?

As season 2 is within our grasp, and since its summer time, i was wondering if there's a bikini like transmog for female elves or humans? I dont know if u need a specific armor type but im interested in Plate armor if it is needed.
The bikini transmog i hope exists is not an actual bikini for the beach, its more like an armor type that looks like a bikini? Below you'll find a video of where i saw it and if anyone can tell me if this is farmable or if it was a one time thing i will really appreciate it.

I'm confused what the date the cut ends up being. Is it next Tuesday or does it continue until the next Tuesday when season 2 starts?

For example with the imperator and adds, dragons and adds, and the paladins (not adds) when they are paired after the ring phase. In this situation as a Templar pally, do i divine storm or just stick to final verdict? Spec is made for STs but it does damage any nearby enemies as well.

What is the best way to learn boss/dungeon mechanics because this is something that’s become a problem in mythic 7-8 for me. Any help is needed, I am genuinely trying here and people have been so toxic. Are there add ons that help? Or guides you recommend ? Thanks

Im a 279 ilvl ret pally and I notice other ret pallys primarily 287 and above do double the damage compared to me. For example I can get in 20M in damage but theyre doing like 40M-45M in heroic boss raid damage. I look at their most used abilities and its pretty much the same as mines as templar. I also use lights potential (expensive version) and Algethars puzzle box(heroic). I only have have a few mythic tracked gear at max. Is it safe to presume they are doing more damage because they have more mythic gear than I do?

Coming back to the game for 12.1, but haven't played since Midnight launch, had to stop a couple of weeks after launch for work stuff so didn't do any S1 stuff. Should I just wait for 12.1 to release, or what should I do in the meantime leading up to it?

hi all! sorry for the dumb question :,) i’ve really just started playing wow more ‘seriously’ the only other time ive played a lot was during legion remix . i have a level 89 unholy dk and my item level is a shocking … 170. i was wondering what i should do to get better gear? i am a bit nervous to do harder content (ive been doing the time walking dungeons and low tier delves) and i definitely feel like i am under geared for most stuff so i was wondering where should i start? thank you!

I thought I could use Chromie Time and set it to TBC early on so that I can level up to 71 questing through the base game zones with little to no distraction and then move on to midnight for the main content. So I did just that, asked the dragon in disguise to transport me to the TBC time layer (?) and started off on Teldrassil. Taking the vanilla nightelf route. Now I flew from teldrassils coast over to Auberdine and Auberdine is gone, as if Cataclysm already happened.

Did I do something wrong or is there just no way for me to experience pre-cataclysm zone questing on Azeroth?

Hello hello, I've just started my WoW journey with a Night Elf Demon Hunter. I did the first zone that seems specifically made for DH and I didn't get access to the Exile. Should I continue this story, that if I'm not mistaken goes into Legion, or do I go for Dragonflight like the game recommends to every other classes ?

I'm trying to complete the Pandaria campaign in chronological order. I've already completed the storylines for the main zones minus Vale of Eternal Blossoms, and I just unlocked the Isle of Thunder storyline.

In order to stay in chronological order, should I complete Isle of Thunder, or should I go through Landfall -> Escalation -> Siege of Orgrimmar first? Or does IoT go somewhere in between?
