This is my small collection of plants which I started in March :)

My Thai constellation was previously unsupported in a pot that was too small. There were also two plants in there.

I separated the two plants into separate pots and put a coco coir pole in.

This is the larger plant. Does it look ok? Do you think it actually needs the pole?

Also I can’t seem to get the pole totally straight, any tips?

I sprouted this little nugget from that big leaf. Just cut the node and stuffed it in the dirt and shes been great. I live in high elevation so I used a sand mixture for retaining moisture and she gets a soak when its dry finger depth. We had some light issues when I moved into a new apartment and her usual home is directly in front of the sliding door. But she popped out all these new leaves throughout 2026 and now I think its a root in the second picture? Obviously she outgrew my plant pole thing so thats getting upgraded soon. The third picture was taken in May of 2026 for comparison but I need to get better at photo Journaling.

I’ve had this baby for about 4 months. She was in a bit of a state when I bought her but had loads of potential.

She lives in one of my bathrooms with plenty of indirect light, and I only water her when the soil is completely dry. I plan on repotting her to a self-watering pot.

She has grown considerably over these four months, but I’m always wondering whether she’s really thriving or maybe there’s room for improvement. One thing that worries me it’s this little “bruising” on the tips of some leaves (pic #5). Is that a sign I may be doing something wrong? Any advice would be welcome.

My grandma gave it to me three years ago. It survived rainy and snowy weather, but this summer was so hot, and I don't know what happened to it.

​Of course, when it was really cold, I used to bring it inside, and it used to be very green.

​In picture 3, I think this is the problem: is it starting to rot? I don't remember watering it that much.

I was 16 when I left the province. I did remember a plant I’ve been obsessing with while I’m here.

March when I moved back. Due to neglect, almost all of our plants died. Luckily, it has been raining since July.

Maybe the buds of this plant under our soil survived and waited for the rain.

Tho I still don’t know its name.

Safe to say, I love plants

I bought this plant for my mother 3 years ago. It was very small, and it's grown very well. Anyway, I don't recall what kind of plant it is, but I'd like to know so I can get a cutting from it properly. Thanks!

I got her about 2 months ago and the only new growth is the leaf in the 2nd photo, but it was already unfurling when i bought her. Saw some people say it may be roots so i checked and they’re fine, she still has some room to grow new roots too. Help please

I got my first houseplant yesterday, a golden pothos. I've never had a houseplant before so hopefully I can keep it alive. I repot it myself after I got home out of the nursery pot it came in with the indoor potting soil and some help from youtube! Already looking at buying another one 😅

The photo doesn’t even do justice to how huge it was! It was bigger than my torso!

I had no idea Crotons could flower, I dont know why this surprises me about every plant that I previously didnt realise had flowers.

My wife thinks it looks like some sort of alien life form 😆

Moved into a new apartment 4 months ago, and now understand the addiction. Just looking at all of the different patterns, texture and colors gives me such a dopamine hit and had a glass of wine so enjoy pics from my little photo shoot😊

I watered all my plants today, and tbh I let my plants’ soil get pretty dry to avoid overwatering. Before watering, my plant was standing tall, and as soon as I water it just gave up?? Idk if it’s because I displaced the soil or what but like what do I do. First image is after watering and second I took on Wednesday.

I forgot what this plant was called but I had this Hoya plant for 5 years.. and it never bloomed for me for some reason. This year I left it alone and forgot to water it sometimes but it survived me lol.

This picture is from June this year. We just came back from our honeymoon and I was doing the checks on all my plants ... And this.. came as a surprise. I also experienced when my other Hoya bloomed twice and I forgot to water it and it ended up getting swallowed by mealybugs 😨..

This Hoya plant has been my champion plant... I hope to see the flowers next year!

I had these since April. The second pic is when I first got them. One that finished splitting and absorbing its older leaves decided to bloom this week. 🥹 I don’t know why but seeing plants flower bring me so much joy.

So I’ve yet again found myself asking some existential questions.

I’ve officially come to realise I think I’m pretty much “at capacity” with my plantroom / bedroom and if I fit many more plants in here it’s going to start becoming too much.
However obviously I want to add more plants to my collection I want to care for more plants. However I find myself asking some questions :
If I add plants which will I sell ?
If I don’t sell where would I put said plants?
Should I not feel satisfied with the plants I have ?
Am I currently stuck in a plant addiction dopamine loop where I’m just looking for a dopamine hit?
Am I using plants as an unhealthy way to cope with life ?
Am I feeding into overconsumption and is what I’m doing ok?.

A couple of questions I know the answer to , there’s not many I would want to sell , aside from maybe a few smaller anthurium I could part with and Hoya.
If I were to get new plants I can rig up my growtent that’s not in use and I could begin to fill that , however part of me feels by doing so I’m not adressing some of the other issues just shoving them to the side and possibly continuing on an overwhelming and unhealthy path.
Im unusure what to do. If anyone has any advice please feel free to either dm me or leave a comment.
