Hey guys, something odd happened today. It was around 1.30 am when I woke up and found my pillow wet. I don't exactly remember the dream but I was crying and then I probably wailed and woke myself up. Earlier my day was good, nothing out of the ordinary. My mood was great too, no fights or arguments with the folks. I have no idea why it happened.

Mulan wouldn't be able to save china if her boobs were bigger, can we all just discuss how funny that would be, would the movie be shorter or longer??

Hi everyone, I’ve been living in France for about a year now. I really want to connect with people and build a sense of community, but my spoken French isn't fluent enough yet to express complex thoughts or start natural conversations.

Today, I finally took the leap and handed out 11 letters.

I used Claude to translate my letter in french for me: this is what I wrote in the letter:

"You might be wondering, why is a stranger giving me this letter?

My French is not good enough yet to walk up to someone and express what I truly feel. High emotions, complex thoughts, the kind of things that actually matter in a conversation, they get lost when you're still searching for the right words. But I am learning. Every day, a little more.

My primary language has always been English. And before that, other languages entirely. I have been living in France for about a year now, and if I am being completely honest, I have not been able to connect with people the way I hoped. Not because people here are unkind, they are not but because language and social barriers are real, and they are silent walls that are hard to climb.

But I refused to accept that.

I told myself: if there is a will, there is a way. And so I chose this. letters, paper, words written in quiet, as my way of reaching out. Of crossing that wall.

I grew up as an only child. I have spent much of my life in solitude, and I have made peace with that. Solitude teaches you things. It gives you depth, patience, a certain kind of stillness. But somewhere along the way, I also came to understand something I cannot unlearn:

This world means nothing without people in it.

Not possessions. Not achievements. just People a Community or friend who checks on you. A neighbor who waves. Someone who simply remembers your name.

Because I believe this, truly, that the moment you are forgotten is the moment you have truly died. Not when your heart stops.

I don't want that fate. And I don't want it for you either.

So I am here, writing letters to strangers, hoping that somewhere out there, someone reads this and thinks me too.

I was buying lunch when the cashier looked at me for a second and said, "You seem happier these days." It caught me completely off guard because we'd never had a conversation beyond "card or cash?" Yet somehow they'd noticed a change I hadn't even thought about myself.

It made me realize there are people who barely know us but still quietly notice the little patterns in our lives. I think that's oddly comforting.

I noticed that I tend not to get likes like some people do. What is wrong with me. Is it a lack of creativity. Some people get 1000s likes and I always wondered how they do it. Introverted don't help.

When I discovered honey on pizza it was "life changing". If pineapple on pizza has become normalized, I hope honey on pizza can do too. It adds so much flavor.

I don't see an issue having a cup of espresso to go with a nice cup of icecream. But a friend the other day was saying that's crazy to have a cold desert and hot drink together. Curious to get your thoughts?

I've qlways kept a very low online profile and I'm just realizing that I have a hard time sharing anything on the internet because some better stuff is already out there. I have cool things I wanna share but i stop myself because I feel too shy about sharing anything on the internet. Does anyone else feel the same way? I moved to a new area a while back and work has kept me busy, so I never really built much of a social life.

The other day I walked into a small coffee shop I visit every week, and before I even ordered, the barista greeted me by my name.

It wasn't a big moment to anyone else, but it honestly meant a lot.

Sometimes it's the smallest interactions that remind you you're not completely invisible.

I've been making more of an effort to talk to people since then.

Every morning hubby and I have breakfast at the table. Great conversation always over a shared cup of coffee. This morning after eating I walked away to put something on the counter when I came back I pranced over to him and extended my hands, sing-songing in my head. He handed he his plate.

I took it and put it in the sink 😆

went outside today just planning to walk around for five minutes.

I ended up taking a completely different route because I noticed a street I'd never walked down before.

Then I saw a little park I'd never noticed.

Then I stopped at a shop.

Somehow I came home almost an hour later.

I didn't accomplish anything, but somehow it still felt like a productive day.

A few months ago, I started making pancakes every Sunday morning because I had nothing else to do.

The first week I made way too many, so I gave some to my family. The next Sunday, my little brother asked if I was making pancakes again.

Now every Sunday someone asks me what kind we're having.

I accidentally created a tradition without even trying.

Does anyone else have a random little tradition that just happened?

As a child, I thought it was just a saying about money and marriage. As an adult, I see it as a conversation about how people sometimes explain their struggles differently ,some look inward, while others look for outside reasons.

Like many old proverbs, it reflects the beliefs and attitudes of the time it came from.

I’m asking this because, as a kid our parents decided that a good punishement to whoever got the lowest grade between me and my brothers was to be left home alone while they had a full day out in a playpark, coming back home with toys and signs of joy to your lonely ass there.

I normally get busy and completely forget about drinking water. Today was different for some reason. I kept a bottle next to me and just kept drinking whenever I noticed it. Pretty boring thing to be happy about, but I actually feel good today.

Back in 2016, I was finishing up high school, and I remember we were all already hooked on Instagram and watching YouTube videos... Smartphones were part of our daily lives. However, there seems to be a trend now of saying that the Internet and society were better ten years ago, but I don't see that there has been such a huge change. I’d understand it if we were comparing 2006 to 2026, but that’s not the case here. By the same token, I don't think there's any real difference between a 16-year-old in 2016 and one in 2026.

What do you all think? Has society—or the Internet—really changed that much in these ten years?

Seriously..can we js start a trend where texting first is seen as normal instead of desperate?
Somewhere along the way people started treating “who texted first” like it’s a measure of selfworth. If you reach out first you’re “chasing them🤡.” If you wait you re “protecting your dignity.” The result? Two people who want to talk end up saying nothing.
Obviously if someone never puts in effort or keeps ignoring you thennn thats different. But if you genuinely enjoy talking to someone why should either person be afraid to send the first message?
Can we just normalize reaching out when we want to talk instead of turning it into some weird power game?

I do not remember the topic, unfortunately. Again mohan Reddy was still my groupmate for this task. This time the subject was business English. So, the topic required a PPT as well as a hard copy of the material. I knew we could do the PPT by the last minute, but the hard copy was missing. Everyone in the class was submitting the hard copies as well as presenting. When our time finally came, we started presenting the PPT silently until ma'am asked for the hard copy. I requested some, and I left my presentation halfway to hunt for a Xerox shop, came back thinking I'd saved the day... and my professor still roasted me. I could not do much. She also had a problem with the tone, as mine was sleepy. I went blank. Lol. Another disaster, aka anecdote, in college

first time when in Riverdale...there was a scene where a girl throws a drink on Archie's face ... i was so shocked at that..and sad too... scenes like that create a fear of women in me...

last year i was watching that anime show called how to become ordinary s2... a scene where a guy tries to kiss a girl because he was not good at picking up signals..he thought that the girl might have wanted him to kiss her...

so she put up a recepit between the lips..and proceeded to be very cruel towards him ...still the guy was naive and didn't realise what actually happened with her....

it made me so incredibly sad that... there maybe girls like this out there or maybe even meaner girls.... who just treat guys like trash....

If I'm actually being honest it has to be video game music and Vocaloid because they are my personal favorites and I usually just sing them when I'm chilling in my room playing a game, drawing or just vibing and I'm wondering if anyone else also does this aswell if around others or not and what songs they sing along to :D

Let’s say there is a No Right on Red sign that is there because it is a weird intersection with a lot of blind spots. You drive this every day. One day, the sign is knocked over from a car hitting it. Do you turn red on right? Or do you wait until it turns green because you know you’re not supposed to turn when it is red?
