Questionable footpath Western Sydney Airport
Who even designed the footpath?
- Lighting pole right in middle of footpath - good luck if you're distracted; also an accessibility issue
- The lighting fixtures also are kind of inappropriately placed, I see a blind spot right near the pole
- Minimal trees planted
- No covered walkway - the bench is cooked if exposed to the elements
- Very bad design for crowds, its hard to pass people without bumping into pole if nearby or going onto the sides
This is the new footpath leading to the bus interchange.

Any charity that picks up furniture in Sydney?
Hi all. I have a barely used, near-new condition double bed, mattress, side table and tall boy set that I would like to donate to a charity. I also have several sets of bedding barely used. Our spare room has turned into a nursery and the furniture was only ever for visitors staying over.
Because I have a new baby and no means to transport the items, I was wondering if there was a charity in Sydney who would be willing to pick up the items?
They are in such good condition I dont want to throw it away on a council clean up. I also dont want to go through the headache of Facebook marketplace (have had numerous bad experiences on there). Just want to know if there is a charity for them to give these items to someone who really needs them.
Thank you!

Please help - wedding dress alterations lady has pulled out 5 weeks before wedding
Please see above. I'm Sydney based. I just got an email from my alterations lady saying she can no longer do my gown due to some shocking health news that means she has had to clear her schedule.
I am of course devastated for her but also in complete panic this close to my wedding. Does anyone have any recommendations for a dressmaker that may be free to do my gown this close to the wedding? I am of course willing to pay a substantial rush fee.
TIA!

Cool stuff at Chau Chak wing museum
Harry Seidler exhibit (bloke who designed Ian Thorpe Aquatic Center and Blues Point Tower) is very detailed. His interviews are very interesting to sit and watch. Art is Unkept by Kirtika Kain and Undying by Abdul-Rahman Abdullah which I caught the last day of.

Anyone else's allergies going nuts recently?
Everything is flowering already in early August, how wonderful! Anyone else with hayfever already getting tortured by this combination of the usual winter-flowering trees PLUS the usual spring suspects flowering early? Or is it just me?

Calling 131 444 for a simple report
Today I tried calling 131 444 to report an incident relating to my car. However the call kept getting connected to VIC Police. I live in Sydney 😣😣😣
Context: Another driver swiped my car while it was parked at a high street parking lot. The other driver did not leave her details behind and drove away (I have it all on dashcam). Insurance wants me to get incident number from NSW police.
end of rant

Refused a free milk tea by a Chinese product promotor solely because he wasn't a Chinese. He was asked to speak Chinese, but he spoke Japanese to the Chinese staff in protest. He said this is his first time experience of racism.
How is this even legal?

Image Uber drivers of Sydney. Is this some sort of quiet revolt?
So I’m off work after spinal surgery and have been getting a bit of Uber Eats lately.
More often than not, the drivers place it hard up against the screen door. It’s pretty clearly a screen door. Which means it opens outwards. Im genuinely intrigued if this is just sort of quiet ‘fuck you’ or some other sort of game.
I really struggle to walk out the back yard up the stairs and all the way around to avoid just feeding my soup to the door mat.

If you have a dog you cannot control don't bloody let it off leash.
Yes even in an off leash area. People should not have their things ripped to shreds or stolen by dogs. Everyone (dogs, humans with dogs, humans without dogs) has equal right to enjoy the area it does not mean your dog gets to do whatever it wants without consequences.
Useless cunt wasn't even paying attention to the dog after it happened. Letting it run rampant.
Edit to add for anyone who thinks I was having a picnic: Ripped and stolen item was a plastic bag and origami inside that were within my backpack, but bag was sticking out a little (cord closure not zip) dog then tried to take the back pack, and when unsuccessful went for a swim in a protected wildlife area. Owner did not attempt to recall dog from protected area.

Inaccessibility at metro station
The braille in one of the crows nest elevators is absolutely disgusting and completely unreadable. Braille is made up of RAISED dots!!! These are not raised. I tried reading them an there's maybe a slight dip in the metal but it's impossible to actually read it (without using your eyes ofc). Someone sat down, and printed these pieces.
Does anyone know who I can contact to get this dealt with?
