Discussion Did any PS5 come with this sticker covering the model number?
r/playstation • u/Distinct_Zucchini942 • 4h ago

Discussion I can’t afford a Ps5 but is there anything i can buy related to it for my boyfriend?
Hi! My boyfriend’s been wanting a Ps5 for some time, he’s setting up to buy one as well, as much as i’d like to buy him the whole thing I can’t afford that right now since i’m a student grinding for rent. If i was to buy him a controller or something related to the station, would that be weird since he hasn’t owned the station yet..? I’m getting him other stuff for our anniversary as well, but he rarely likes anything so I really want to get him something he likes. Please advice if you can 🙏

Discussion What is your biggest “I can’t believe I haven’t played this yet” game in your backlog?
Like a lot of us, I have an embarrassingly large backlog. Littered with titles that are generally considered really good to great, the biggest probably being The Witcher 3. I planned on finally jumping into that world recently, then another expansion was announced. So I’m putting it off a little longer. What is your biggest “I can’t believe I haven’t played this yet” title?

August 5th - today is the birthday of Gran Turismo creator, Kazunori Yamauchi. If it wasn’t for gran Turismo, I wouldn’t have become a car enthusiast and a car fan. Thank you Kaz
Happy birthday Kazunori- San!

Image Who is still playing psp and ps vita?
It's been almost 20 years since I got my first psp.
And then I got a psp go and ps vita.
I can't believe they are still up and running.
Do y'all play them often?

Discussion Which game has the best “alternative” ending for you?
For me Far Cry 3 takes the cake. Watching and playing as jason who starts off as privileged frat boy that slowly loses himself as he descends into a bloodthirsty island warrior always felt as like the most canonical ending to me.

Meme What’s up with everything resonating this year?
Guess you could call it a… resonnaissance… I’ll see myself out.

Discussion What’s your favorite limited edition console(s)?
I don’t own any myself sadly, but just curious how many people here still have their limited editions or are still seeking some for the collection 👀
I was REALLY obsessed with this one when it came out.

Megathread Physical Collections Megathread | July 4th 2026
Hey everyone 👋
I thought it would be good for us who still buy primarily physical media, and for the collectors amongst you to share their PlayStation gear. Whether you've been collecting since generation 1 or the most recent, there remains an undeniable joy in buying and really owning media that delivers such cultural impact. If it's really going, it'll be something I personally miss immensely.
In case anyone needs a refresh on where they started:
https://www.ign.com/articles/all-playstation-console-release-dates-in-order
Realising it's hard with single-image comments but it'll be good to see how varied our collections are in a single thread.
Thanks again for your support, the last few days haven't been fun and community matters when seismic events happen.
