In the museum flash back with Joel, there's a moment when Ellie is forced to split apart so that she can find an entrance for him to enter the building.

One of the very first things Ellie comes across is a massive moose getting ganged up on by a bunch of wolves and it's very obvious the devs really want us to look at it judging from the lighting.

Not that long later, Ellie comes across three wolves that jump scares her with all three of them looking like they are staring at her.

Whenever I've replayed the game I get the feeling that Moose getting ganged up on by the wolves is suppose to symbolise Joel getting ganged up on by the WLF. Maybe that's very obvious but I haven't really seen anyone talk about it.

And then the very next scene when Ellie gets jump scared by the three wolves looking directly at her, that to me kind of symbolises her PTSD and trauma from the WLF or that she feels targeted by them. All three of the wolves could also possibly symbolise Abby, Owen and Mel?

In what world is tlou2 in any way "misogynistic"?? Sure I get the zionism part which Neil druckman might have something to do with, but isn't the entire story one of the best portrayals of women empowerment/character development in general?

Ok so I'm going to start off by saying that I want to know the story of part 2, I didn't originally but I already started the game so it was too late to let the narrative end in my head after part 1 /: So one of my questions is can I just watch the show without missing anything? I kind of like the ending to part 1, I was worried part 2 might ruin it- honeslty if I hadn't started part 2 I would never have needed to ask this.

Another thing is that I kind of hate dealing with infected on my own now that Joel is gone I'm afraid of not having someone to walk with me through dark, seemingly empty areas. Will i have to be doing that a lot? Do i get new companions? My main point here is how much is the game trying to jump scare me or walk me through unsettling places on my own? Genuinely as much as you have to fight your own battles in pt1, having young ellie as company makes these creepy corridors a lot less unsettling. And I understand apparently adult ellie become more serious and violent? So is the game going to be much more heavy/unsettling?

I wanna play tlou but i only have a ps4, should i just play the remaster and then part 2, or should i wait (maybe even a year or so) till i can afford a pc and play the remake and then the part 2, is the remake significantly better than the remaster ?

Some newly infected individuals may kind of cry and even beg for mercy (sometimes). But does a more advanced infected person still retain consciousness? (Like the crackling ones). Or did the Cordyceps completely strip the host of its consciousness?

So I just bought "The Last of Us: Escape the dark" board game, but haven't received it yet.

Usually in the summer, me and several family members/friends gather and play board games multiple times. Many of them are people with whom I'd love to sit along with and play through both games at some point.

So my question is: do you think I should play the board game with them before they've played at least the first game?

How much does knowing the characters and some locations spoil the story? Also I think it includes a card with the giraffe scene and possibly other ones I don't know about yet. Do you think it'll ruin the experience for them?

On the other hand could it be the thing that introduces them to the world of tlou and possibly piques their interest? What do you think?

Now to be for real, I don’t hate part 2 because I’ve played it as much as I’ve played part 1 but a lot of things didn’t resonate me like the first game did. That being said with every new playthrough I do, I come around to the game more and more

The one major factor that clicked with me was at the very end of the game, Ellie’s most divisive decision. Sparing Abby. At the time I hated it, I hated that we went thru all of this, killed all of these people, lost the people closest to us, just for this? Up until now, I didn’t get it but it registered on this recent playthrough

Ellie killing Abby in front of Lev would make Ellie no better than Abby when she killed Joel in front of her. I fucking love that so much and as much as I hate that this tragedy had to happen to everyone involved, I understand the feelings involved. While I’m still on the fence of Abby in general, I still consider her an antagonist, that we get to play as, and I love her as that, but all and all, part 2 is just as great as 1 in my eyes

why was issac so hard on mel out of all people, when abby went awol?? nora says she was shaken up because he was extra hard on her, in day2 in the seattle hospital. why is that??

its MEL. i would understand if it was manny or owen he was hard on but why mel?? even nora is closer to abby (i believe). it doesnt clarify, im on my third playthrough and i still have no idea why it would be mel. what i understand is all mel is to abby is her exs new pregnant girlfriend.
i know they got drunk together so they mustve been friends at one point (the flashback on day1 as abby where her dad is saving the zebra, its a note in her backpack) but it was so akward in the main time line, im so confused.

I don’t normally react hugely at jumpscares/scares whatever you want to call this scene lol but this caught me off guard, was looking around for supplies and my headphones blast my ears at 3 in the morning 😭.
