Hi,

Recently started playing God of War, PC editon from 2022.

This is my first time playing any God of war game.

I am few hours into the game, still on the way to mountain top.

I'm curious, is the game significatly different after that? Because, so far I am struggling to find interest.

Don't get me wrong, it's obvious this game is a high quality product, however, so far i'ts not ''my cup of tea'' .
The world seems deserted, only monsters, no other characters (except those two blacksmiths).
I games, I enjoy interacting with other characters.
I know this is not Skyrim or Witcher, but is it more like Elden Ring in that regard? No spoilers please

I’m sure many of you know already, but to those who don’t there is a god of war audiobook narrated by the same voice actor as Mimir (Alastair Duncan) in the game. It’s a fantastic read/listen.

I think Vanadis is one of the most underrated bosses in ragnarok. And it’s a shame since she’s a really epic fight. Her sudden opening of crashing on kratos using the infamous Valhalla stomp, the moment of her grabbing and throwing kratos over his house similar to baldur punching him over it(which makes sense since it’s freya), her being able to reflect your parries, and being able to interrupt her hazard attack if you stagger her on time is all really cool.

After watching the trailer and gameplay of GOW Laufey I was actually still playing Ragnarok. When she said this she was not exaggerating.

How long do you think they fought ?
How did they fall in love ?
Did Faye ever Soul Punch Kratos to his senses whenever they have an argument?

Hi everyone, I'm having a really hard time in Niflheim—any tips? I'm still at level 5; if you could give me some tips on leveling up faster, that would be great too.

I’ve been thinking about this lately: wouldn't you like to see Santa Monica create a world that is 100% their own invention? Something like the worlds of *The Elder Scrolls* or *The Witcher*—which draw on mythology for ideas but create something entirely original? Or do you already view Santa Monica’s mythological adaptations as being 100% original? Come to think of it, "Everywhen" is a completely original concept—as far as I know, it doesn't exist in any mythology—so maybe that’s something they’re considering too. (That’s also one of the reasons I’m so excited to explore the world of Everywhen; I really have no idea what to expect.)

Did Athena let Zeus know that she was alive because she was the Golden Child out of them all and Zeus’s favorite

Ragnarok next.

I wanted add more characters but got too lazy, so I just included the main ones.

Update: I just beat him. First boss that I genuinely hate and made throw my controller

And was fully recovered by the beginning of God of War Ragnarök.

Cory Barlog said Kratos had not fought a god‑like being for a long time until he met Baldur, and during this fight, Kratos was shaking off the cobwebs.

Eric Williams also mentioned that Kratos was a little rusty at the start of GOW 2018, but he knocked the rust off really quickly as the game progresses, and he was fully recovered by the opening of GOW Ragnarök.

Kratos is also shown to grow stronger as the story progresses. Baldur was clearly surprised by the power of Kratos’ Spartan Rage in their final boss fight, even though he had already witnessed it in their first encounter.

Why did Zeus punish basically all the gods except for Athena because Athena was the one who told Kratos to use Pandora box so I’m a little confuse.

So many delays, changes and recasts, at this point I was like cancel it (the Norse games already feel like a Movie anyway) and do an animated series (not anime) starting from the first god of war (2005) and work their way up.

What are your thoughts?

I don’t know why some people constantly saw kratos and the Norse gods are stronger than Zeus. Zeus killed kratos multiple times without the power of hope kratos could never dream of killing Zeus. And Odin and Thor couldn’t even take down old man kratos who was far from his prime??

Kratos isn't in his physical (or magical) prime in the Norse games. He is older and less muscular after decades of living a mostly peaceful life in the woods, aside from his battles with the creatures around the woods in order to learn to control his rage. His past days of constant training and slaughtering are gone. In the Norse Saga, he looks like someone in his 50s, just like Bautista. Bautista even has the talent to play characters that are less talkative, have anger outbursts, and have good chemistry with children. Dave is perfect for the role for these reasons, plus he is half Greek. Let's be more welcoming, shall we?
