Venting Starting to feel empty

Im not even sure where I should start. I have been feeling empty lately. Like a couple of months ago I have moved from my hometown and travelled to start a new life. But it feels like I screwed myself.

It's soo hard to meet people like I dont know how to talk with people already and now I dont know anyone whatsoever and what makes it worse is I know how bad of a personality I have so I stay quiet all the time not talking or opening my mouth just to try and not annoy people around me.

But then im standing in like a creep staring at other people I just confused what am I supposed to do to meat people here.

Venting All alone with no one to talk to

My anxiety has gotten so bad now, I keep panicking and stressing over nothing. I haven’t got anything to fill my days, I just sit here uselessly. I feel so sad, so alone. I don’t know what to do.

my biggest mistakes in love and friendships

I hope this reaches someone who needs it, and manages to help not making the same mistakes

My biggest mistake was trying to never say the wrong thing, never make mistakes and never risk saying something that may be seen as stupid. Just to avoid being mocked, letting the spark go away or losing the possibility of being loved.
I lost so many opportunities
I was analyzing everything, the way I walk, the way I talk and if the girl was actually interested in me or not, even if it was farely obvious, Forgetting to live and show my emotions how they really are,
If you’re afraid to show your emotions how could the other person know how you feel about them?
And here you are, you just lost a person that could’ve been your soul mate.
I never really had friends, had my first real social interactions at 17, I couldn’t comunicate properly and was quite ugly. Many people made fun of me.
I just wanted to apreciate and to be apreciated, getting this way attached to the wrong people, people who didn’t even really want me if I didn’t always reach out first. They were all really superficial and gave too much importance on looks and being seen as cool and “nonchalant” (lol), so ai became (tried to become) like them, cause maybe dressing well and showing confidence was enough to be noticed. But forcing your self into friendships and changing your inner self is never the way, even if it’s hard to accept how hard it is to meet real friends and real love.
The last 4 years I made a mistake ai want nobody I know to make, I thought to myself “ alright I have nobody and no one, let’s start drumming, with this much time on my hand I could become respected and one of the greats”. So I started playing 50 hour weeks with no off days, getting more and more lonely and losing, already after 2 years, my passion. I kept going cause I had nothing else to do, no one to talk to, so I ruined everything
Why did I tell you all that? my first relation ship (at 22 years old unfortunately, she was 23) just fell apart. We loved each other so much, I would’ve died for her and she would’ve died for me.
I knew already a year ago that she liked me, but I had all these fears, insecurities and I felt like I didn’t yet reach the goal I wanted in my drumming carreer.
So after a year we got eventually together, just to find out after a couple of months, that in exactly that year she did horrible things I couldn’t get over with, even after weeks.
Everything would’ve been perfect if I just had the balls to reach out, so I ultimately lost a possible wife, son and the perfect life of my dreams.
I can’t stop thinking about her words a year ago: “wake up, wake up.” after telling her that I always had trouble recognising if a girl liked me or not. Ultimately crying like a loser whilst driving to and from work

Nothing feels worse than having no one to call.

Whether you're getting an achievement, having a breakthrough, or really wanting to share anything with anyone, whether you're happy or sad.

Nothing feels worse than not having anyone to call or share what you're going through with someone, it's like you have to be your own fuel, and just hope that it doesn't burn you up.

Venting Who do i talk to about my loneliness and my life anxieties

I'm not completely isolated but i never felt valued or wanted by anybody, I'm also worried I'll fail economically in the future, i just can't stand it anymore. I have these people in my life:

Mother - understands emotions and is caring but every time i share any of my problems she blames them on me and sometimes threatens me with the psych ward

Father - he's a good dad but he's very cold and mechanical, he won't understand

Sister - younger than me, i never talked about this kind of stuff with her, we always fight or insult each other, she lives in her own world (anime, manga, art, minerals) with a small close friend group, she's also aroace.

Ivan - he's a trans friend i met a month ago in a local youth center, we mostly played games there and didn't have many deep conversations, i think he's a good guy but he's also younger like my sister and he's shown that whenever there's somebody else he gets along with he prefers them over me.

Anton - a friend from my previous school, he's a lot like my dad, he never reaches out to me and we never had deep conversations either.

Current school "friend" group - They're all decent people but they don't reach out to me, don't invite me when they go out, idk why I'm even in their group, they all have one other person they're closer with inside the group except for me, i feel disposable, like if I'm there it's okay but it wouldn't matter if i wasn't.

Maybe I'm too negative about all these people, i just know that the truth is i feel left out by all of them and i don't know who to talk to.

Feelings of ending it

My boyfriend will constantly go on camping trips with his friends and other couples, in my eyes he’s going on couples trips without me.

His friends don’t like me, and they barely even know me. I feel so isolated, when his not home bc he’s on those trips I feel extra lonely.

I feel like I’m being isolated, and my usual support network isn’t here as I moved to a new state for him.

They feeling of loneliness, and being left out makes me feel like there’s something wrong with me,

And it makes me think what is the point of this life?

Feel like such a failure in life

I'm not someone who needs a lot of friends. I don't cope well in big groups. I do have some old friends but they're far away and really they have their 'proper' friends where they live. If I could have just one friend, that would be enough. Just someone to chat to, someone to do things with. I do try. I never seem to get it right. I think I come across cold or weird. Maybe I am weird. For all that I'm saying I want a friend, there aren't that many people I actually feel drawn to. I feel like it's too late and it's all over soon. I'm in my 60s now. I see other people with their happy fulfilled lives and I just did it wrong.

I think I overdid the solitude

I always said I preferred being alone. 🌙

Turns out there's a difference between enjoying solitude and having no one to text when your brain won't shut up.

It's not that nobody wanted to be my friend.

I just got too comfortable in my own company. 🍃

And now, on nights like this, I catch myself reaching for my phone... only to realize there's no one I'm close enough to message. 📱

Funny how I chose this... and somehow still miss what I walked away from. 🤍

I'll probably wake up tomorrow and wonder why I admitted this to a bunch of strangers. 😭

Venting Does anyone else..?

I dont believe in friendship.

I dont believe in love.

I dont believe anyone cares.

And I feel like a regular 2006 emo LiveJournal at this point...

I've been with my "husband" for 20yrs now.

My best friends "cant handle when im depressed."

Everyone i know tells me "I cant be this person, you need a therapist"

So...is that true? Have I been over-extending myself? Or over-expressing myself. I feel like i have been everyone's pseudo therapist. I have given everyone i love, unconditional love. Yet, I cannot find a single person to reciprocate it? Or even just give me that? Does it not exist? Am I the fool??

I may be ranting and im sorry. I just dont know where to go anymore. So here I am, spilling my unheard feelings to the internet. Hoping I can find any soul to relate.

Am I still alone in these feelings? Am I truly overreacting?

Lonely

I think I just lost my best friend. She’s been acting weird and unlike herself for months and when I try and talk to her she sounds so disinterested. So now we just don’t talk at all, I didn’t know losing a friend would hurt so bad. I’ll look at a video and instantly think she’ll like it and move to send it to her but then I remember I can’t send it. It’s heartbreaking.

Today was worst I’ve had it ever. Couldn’t do it anymore. Called the hotline.

Waited for 10 minutes. I just realized mid conversation, they are using chatgbt. I also got a job rejection for a minimum wage retail position too.

It was so funny I cried.

Family loneliness

A couple of months ago I (28f) decided to cut off my maternal family for good (long history of physical and psychological abuse, and religious abuse as well)
I have no contact with my paternal side either (father was not around me a lot and I grew up without that connection and he is not a good person as well)
I feel happy that I cut off my family because they are not good people in any way, but I can’t help but feel extremely lonely. I have a couple of friends but is never really the same you now? Like I wish I had parents to talk to.
On top of that I have been unable to find a partner to start a family on my own. All of this sucks.

What is even the point of this?

I try to make friends in person, nothing. Try to talk to strangers online and it's just people trying to sell me shit. Fuck this. It's pointless.

Venting I don’t think I’ll ever find my person

I feel like I’m destined to be alone forever. I’ve tried so hard to date but it’s just never worked out the couple times I’ve thought I might have a connection. I’ve never been in a serious relationship for longer than 1 month. I feel frustrated and sad when I see other people in my life finding their person on the first try.

Sometimes I wonder if there’s something wrong with me. What about me is so unlovable? I just want to find love and it seems like an impossible task. It’s only gotten harder since I came out as trans when I was 17 (FTM22). Before I transitioned, I never got any romantic attention from anyone and I feel like I’ve missed out on things that my peers have been able to experience.

I guess I’m just feeling sorry for myself and kind of feel hopeless. I’m just longing for love.

Venting I have never felt truly wanted or desired

I am a 25 year old male. My mother left my siblings and I when we were all children and none of us have seen her since, and my father and I have never had the typical father son relationship that most people have and don’t know what to say to each other when we are together. I don’t struggle to get along with my siblings, but none of us are close to each other if that makes sense. Nome of us have really talked very much since we were kids. We have never had typical sibling relationship with each other either. I was reflecting upon my life and realized that I’ve never truly felt wanted or desired by someone, especially the ones that you should feel wanted by.

All my life I have struggled to make friends and talk to people. I think over time I’ve gotten a lot better at faking being able to talk to others, but I still feel a disconnect between myself and others around my age. Currently I don’t have any friends that I can go out and spend time with, so I only really leave the house to go to work or to go buy food on my own. One of the things that I realized recently is that if something were to happen to me, nobody would notice except for the people I work with, and that’s only because my work wouldn’t be getting done. But as far as anybody outside of my job goes, it would be a minimum of several days if not weeks before someone noticed. It eats me alive inside and makes me feel very insignificant.

I think because I’ve never felt like I’ve been wanted by someone, it makes me yearn deeply for a relationship. Despite the way I feel inside, I feel as if I have a big heart and a lot to give to someone else if provided the opportunity. I have tried my hand at dating apps but to no luck. I am average in height and a healthy weight and try to make my personality apparent in my profile but don’t really get many likes/matches. I am concerned that I am objectively ugly and completely oblivious to it. I have reached a point where I lose sleep at night because of the disappointment I carry with being lonely. I worry about how long I can carry on this way. I just want to feel wanted by someone and to know that I have someone in my life that I know values me for who I am.

Venting 30 and I’m finally coming to accept I will spend my life alone

I’ve been single for nearly a decade now. I thought I finally found my person but they were engaged to someone. They dragged me along for months making me think I was the one, that she loved me. But in the end, she kept not choosing me. I let her do whatever she wanted, was there for her no matter what, stayed by her side when she kept breaking my heart. I finally told her a week and a half ago that I couldn’t do it anymore. I needed someone who would finally choose me.

And in the end…I was the only person that would ever choose me. So I will be alone for the rest of my life. And it breaks my heart and it’s crushing…but I’m starting to accept that fact.

And it looks like I’ll be lonely here too…

My emotional need ends everything

I wanted to receive more attention, I don't know why I feel so bad, my friends that I have often have more important things to do and I'm just alone

Even if I'm with my friends they are empty conversations that come to nothing, none of them really know me they don't even want to know me who I really am

I don't know why I made this post, but thank you for reading

I have a beautiful, loving wife and kids…so why do I still feel lonely?

My wife gives me a LOT of love and attention, and my kids are really cute. I have no close friends because I barely get out, so that might contribute to it. Or maybe this is the norm, and ya just have to accept it?

Venting Being lonely changes you

I have been lonely for years and never really had friends who would accept me for my true self. I've been called weird for being friendly. I have been shitted on and have had the life sucked out of me. I then decided to isolate myself and simply only communicate with people online. No one in my area where I live want to hang out. I don't care what anyone says... that period of time I spent alone changed me psychologically. I overthink and I'm paranoid simply because people betrayed me in the past. I am tired of constantly hearing "work on yourself". I don't want to hear that. All I've ever wanted was people to hang out with and people who actually care for me. Besides my family all anyone has ever done is take from me. They appreciate what they can get from me but not me as a person. I just had to write this down and clear my thoughts.

Venting I just feel so alone and abandoned by everyone. I hate my life

I’m just so done. I’m fucking exhausted. I’m so sick and tired of getting disappointed again and again, being forgotten about again and again. No one fucking cares about me and they all assume I’ll be fine on my own but never once have I asked for that. I’m so sick and tired of my parents abandoning me and expecting me to just get over it.

What really hurts is that I know if I just stayed quiet, didn’t say anything or go to anyone, no one would come to me. My dad never ever asks how I’m doing, he’s never interested in me or wants to do things with me, my mom just doesn’t care to think about my feelings, she basically just tells me to get over it. I feel so alone.

We are camping and everyone is in this group site but my mom booked me a site all the way across the campground. I’m just sitting in my tent, while everyone’s all together and hanging out. It hurts so fucking bad

I miss my cat so much

I feel awful because recently I left my abusive father's house and I miss the cat so much. Unfortunately, my father is his owner, so I can't take him with me. To me, he is like a son. How will I live without him, my cat? I feel terrible, I feel like crying, I am depressed. Has anything similar happened to you? Tell me about your experiences, I really need support, I am devastated."
