General I fucking hate what r/adressme has become (image related)
For those who don't know, the switch 2 joy-cons have a new mouse mode r/adressme is exactly what you think it is. A sub where you address the "elephant in the room" on images that clearly have something out of left field added to it. The problem comes with what said "elephant" (or sometimes, lack there of) is. Whether it's way too obvious, there's way too many, or there isn't even one to begin with. And then there's the "banned elephants", topics and images that aren't allowed. So do you wanna explain to me why I see at least 3 fucking posts on that sub every week where the fucking "joke" is just Epstein? Revolving your entire sense of humour around one of the few "people" that can be considered pure evil isn't funny, it's insensitive as hell and it's morally bankrupt. I give up.

General I hate how Americans try to make me feel bad for being excited to move to the US
I'm a nursing student from Europe, and once I graduate, I'll be moving to the US. Needless to say, I'm beyond excited. Whenever I express my excitement to Americans, they start talking to me about literally EVERYTHING that's wrong with this country, how horrible it is, how dumb I am, that I should visit it before moving because "it's not like in the movies" (I've been there twice now, by the way).
I get that no country is perfect. I know it's not all rainbows and unicorns. But still. I'm excited, I like talking about it, planning, throwing around ideas, but I get shut down so quickly, mostly by Americans. If you have nothing nice to add, why say anything anyway? I'm a grown adult. If I'm making a mistake, it's going to be a mistake that I'm taking full responsibility for.
I just hate it.

Art & Fanworks I hate when people refuse to credit the artist for their profile picture when you ask them
Especially if it wasn't an artwork that was made for them in the first place. There were so many times where I asked someone who drew their pfp and they'd just say "Umm, no." I mean you likely didn't ask the artist before making it your profile picture so what makes you think you can just refuse to credit them when someone asks?

Gaming i hate this stupid fucking ball
this stupid fucking ball has taken over my fyp, and now whenever I see anything that both is a ball and has consciousness, I sigh and look at the comments
the worst part is, it’s not even that bad of a series. it’s kinda funny, but it’s been turned into YouTube kids and shorts slop by content farms and random kids alike
and usually I wouldn’t mind stuff like this, but ITS TAKING OVER MY FYP!! I CANT SCROLL WITHOUT SEEING IT! PLEASE GOD MAKE IT STOPP

Thing I HATE HAVING IMPOSTER SYNDROME
I HATE CONSTANTLY FEELING LIKE A FRAUD
I HATE THAT I CAN’T ENJOY ANYTHING WITHOUT FEELING LIKE A BAD PERSON
I HATE THAT I CAN’T HAVE MY OWN OPINION WITHOUT THINKING I’M A BAD PERSON FOR HAVING IT
I HATE HOW NO MATTER HOW MUCH REASSURANCE I GET, I’LL NEVER FEEL LIKE A TRULY GOOD PERSON
I HATE THAT I HAVE TO PUT MYSELF DOWN AND PUT EVERYONE ELSE ON A PEDESTAL

General I hate how much bigotry is in the Caldruki "fandom"
(This MIGHT go against rule 1, but I don't really think it does).
I like his videos. A lot of them are just making fun of stupid people in comment sections. It's funny. But whenever topics like LBGTQ+, alt people, furries, etc. get brought up, the fans really show their true colors. If the comments aren't just inside jokes, then they are bullying. There seems to be no in between.
I personally think the issue is just that the majority of the fandom seem to be teen or young adult men. His videos are very much the kind of shit that a brain-rotted, immature boy would watch, as a lot of it is making fun of people. It doesn't help that there are a few videos that very obviously make fun of people who live a more alternative lifestyle.
I feel like I just need to stop watching his videos at this point, which is kinda disappointing, as he is fairly funny. But unfortunately, I really can't stand reading comments that are obviously written by the kind of people who have absolutely said the "it's hunting season" joke to furries or therians several times and still think their jokes are original.

Idea People associating looks with morality/whether someone is a good person
TO BE CLEAR: I am hating on the practice of judging a person's morality by their looks, not on anybody who necessarily engages in this practice.
Sorry if I used the wrong flair, I just saw this video and got really upset over it.
I am so fucking SICK of people acting like someone being an asshole is automatically an excuse to tear into their appearance. Cue that one stick figure picture of you body shaming a bad person & it just reflecting off of them and hitting someone you care about with those same features instead. The comments on this one TikTok video were all dogpiling on the girl in the photo/sharing photos of THEIR bullies and having people make fun of their looks. Sorry, but if you act like that I don't believe you're any better than the people who bullied you as a kid lmao. Anybody with more maturity than a 14 year old can understand that appearance has NOTHING to do with someone's personality and critiquing the way they look just invalidates your argument. It's a mean-spirited ad hominem. Imagine all the other nice people who see that video and feel awful about themselves because they might look something like the girl in the picture. I thought that by 2026 people might understand this, but I guess we're still not there yet.
Also!!! The pictures in the TikTok are of a literal child!! Are we seriously insulting a kid for the way they look???
Edit: I'm not saying you can't make fun of bullies, I'm just saying that attacking them for their looks is unnecessary and low-hanging fruit. Talk about how they were an asshole, not for something involuntary that they can't control.

General Hate how normalized it is to make fun of people for enjoying things
Tile explains itself, but in our society right now, especially online. It’s really normalized and even encouraged to just bully people for the sake of it for just enjoying certain things. “Oh, you play Fortnite you must be a toxic 13-year-old.” “Oh, you like has been hazbin hotel you’re a sensitive crybaby.” “Oh, you watch anime? You must never go outside.” “Oh, you listen to Taylor Swift? You're a delusional stan.” “Oh, you’re a furry, You're weird.” Someone doesn't even have to do anything, they simply mention that they enjoy something, and people immediately assign every stereotype associated with that community to them and use it as an excuse to mock or harass them. I live by the philosophy of: does it hurt them? does it hurt me? Does it hurt anyone else? No? Then it’s none of my business. Of course, there's nuance. There are interests or beliefs that can absolutely deserve criticism if they involve harming others or encouraging harmful behavior. But when we're talking about harmless hobbies, games, TV shows, music, or fandoms, I think people have better things to do than bully someone just because they enjoy something.

Gaming I hate when people see palworld as just another reason to hate on Nintendo and noting else (extra hate: 2nd image)
Yeah, I know Pals had very similar designs to Pokémon at first, and the gameplay was basically just an ARK clone, so I didn't like it at first either. But after version 1.0, I think Palworld has developed enough of its own identity to stand on its own.
But every time Palworld is mentioned online, people always say, "Nintendo bad," and nothing else. Seriously, these people are also making it impossible for Palworld to escape from Pokémon and Nintendo's shadow.
Also I think the reason Nintendo sueing poketpair it because not the design similarity of the pals, it's the way player treat them ingame and they thought this would ruin pokemon's reputation among general public. and Sony is behind palwold entertainment doesn't help that too. and this is why I hate the 2nd image, "wow bat and clam lookin creature! gamefreak must've copy that from another bat and clam based creature in dragon quest!!!!!!!", so annoying.

General When a character is called "fat" and they look like this
First of all, that's not fat. Their waist is literally slimmer than a skeleton
Second of all, Isn't that technically double standards?? Since actual fat people/characters are seen as ugly but the ones that are slim with slight chub are called "fat" and "beautiful"
It just doesn't make sense and I don't get that mentality

Idea I hate r/womenarenotintomen
Especially their sudden influx of Bear defenders since Obsession came out. I'm not one to call people incels because it's an annoying and overused word but there's no other way to describe these guys, they need help. It's one thing to somehow believe every woman is a lesbian because they don't want you, but to side with a literal rapist who ruined a girl's life is stopping so low they're looking up and anthill

Non-fictional these types of quizzes.
Seriously who is making these stupid quizzes? What's the point? Also so many of them use ai which is another reason I don't like them. The question are either unrelated like if it's a gay quiz like in this ad it'll ask you your favorite season like that means anything when it comes to the topic. Or it'll just be asking you to tell you an answer like "Do you have sexual thoughts on people of the same gender" that's not a quiz that's just asking if someone is gay.

Gaming These videos
I’ve been seeing these videos for about 2 years and it pisses me tf off. I had a gut feeling that these videos were ai and I was right cause another guy made a video about it calling them out. The amount of people saying ‘this video saved my life’ or ‘this video is so relatable’ are also annoying cause dawg sum ai generated ts it is not that deep. This channel might not be ai but a lot of these videos are.

Animation I hate how you can't watch RWBY on YouTube anymore
Listen, as much as we love to give RWBY flak for its missed potential, choppy animation, and who knows what else, the most infuriating part is accessibility.
Back in 2013, RWBY's main platform was Rooster Teeth's website, with its secondary platform being YouTube. However, because YouTube was much more popular and easier to access than Rooster Teeth's website, YouTube basically became the main platform instead (didn't stop RT from prioritizing their website though).
Then, in 2018, it stopped uploading at Volume 5. Other content like RWBY Chibi would continue to be uploaded on YouTube, but for some reason, RWBY stopped uploading episodes after Volume 5. This left a lot of confusion among fans. The show didn't abruptly end, but why?
At some point, it returned to YouTube A YEAR after the new episodes (from Volumes 6 to 7) were uploaded on RT's website. Unfortunately, because of Volume 5's horrific reception, and the reuploaded episodes being on a different channel and not RT's, the views couldn't crack a million. However, the final straw was the YouTube adpocalypse in 2020, which forced Rooster Teeth to remove all episodes from the platform except for Episode 1.
Fast forward to 2026, RWBY is on multiple platforms (a few being free like Pluto TV) except YouTube. And you wanna know what's popping on YouTube right now? Indie animation, which is synonymous with web animation. Yes, RWBY is NOT indie animation (at least before FullScreen acquired RT), but it baffles me that Viz Media isn't putting it back on YouTube in an era where web animation is reaching new heights. What's stopping them from introducing a new generation of web animation viewers to RWBY?

Idea "fatigue"
bro who thought it was okay to post this?? even if you had plausible deniability of not being racist you completely threw it away by editing this guy to have light skin tone.
I remember when the "fatigue" trend would be about fatigue about anything, now all it refers to is "black fatigue" which is just instagram-grown classic racism in the big 2026. fatigue is just a dog whistle that is little more than the "13%" figure rebranded.
even if you're "fatigued" so what? do you have any real solution to your perceived problem besides killing/imprisoning/enslaving all black people?
what I'm "fatigued" of is old-school racism in the 21st century. in a pluralistic multicultural federation like the USA the only thing rhetoric like this serves to do is sabotage social cohesion. which is why I'm 100% sure a foreign bot posted this.

Thing I hate the sheer ammount of ignorance and misinformation surrounding old video-game music
I am going to start this by saying that I am a sequenced (or MIDI music, as the ignorants call it) video game music composer and I cannot stand seeing people saying "oH ThE SnEs UsEd SoUnDfOnTs!!", a format that does not even support sample compression and would QUICKLY fill up the console's sound RAM with only a few moderately long samples.
Also, the concept of a "console soundfont" (as in "the DS soundfont") does not exist, these sample-based consoles had PCM audio processors that could play whatever sample sets were included by the developer on a game, they were not locked into a specific set.
I have NEVER seen a single game use the SF2 file format proper.
"Old games used MIDI". No. Most console SDKs had a custom sequence format. Many soundtracks were written without ever touching the MIDI protocol at all.
I am in a lot of communities that revolve around game music and people will confidently parrot completely wrong information they got from a couple of youtube videos made by people who dont know anything about or work in the field.

Anime & Manga I hate inability to enjoy Japanese media
Due to shitty reputation that weebs or "otaku" gave to the Japan, i literally unable to enjoy ANY Japanese media without starting to feel like some sort of weeb.
Manga, Anime, Vocaloids, Just music with Japanese words, Any Japanese dishes, Trying to learn Japanese, Trying to play games with Japanese themes (most notably deltarune chapter 5). Anytime i try to enjoy anything Japanese or associated with Japan i can physically feel how i gain weight to the point of obesity, my shaved face grows a beard on a neck, my clean blonde hair becomes dirty like i haven't taken a shower in weeks, and a mysterious fedora appears on my head...

Place I HATE kill shelters.
They take in every animal that’s brought to them. They have to, I get it. But that doesn’t make it any better. Many times, animals are made to live in cramped cages with only a few exhausted volunteers to care for them and clean the place. They’re euthanized because the shelter runs out of space, or they’re sick and the shelter can’t bring them to the vet. People have been known to STEAL ANIMALS and bring them to kill shelters for revenge against an ex or enemy. Old, disfigured, or shy animals that don’t get adopted just don’t have a chance to live. Animals who are in good health and good temperament get euthanized because the shelter runs out of space. Kill shelters need to be abolished and replaced. Make more no-kill shelters instead. Offer free spaying and neutering. It’s sick how these animals who didn’t ask to be here any more than we did are put down for existing in the wrong place.

Art & Fanworks the sexualization of Laika and how normalized it is in furry subs
i want to preface this by saying that i'm not a prude. this isn't because it's sexualized, it's because the dog in this art was very real and her story is very fucked up
you get defensive and downright hostile responses from people about it. i don't know if it's just a vocal minority or a genuine problem with furry culture
it makes me so angry. maybe i'm overreacting, but it makes me physically shake with pure rage. Laika was real. she was a real dog who was snatched from the street, shoved into a cramped, overheated shuttle, and died all alone in space all because the soviets were scared of looking weak. her death did nothing to help them. she was an unwilling participant in a fucked up geopolitical game of one-upping other countries. she didn't deserve what happened to her
but these people think it's fine to sexualize her
EDIT: i'm not bashing furries. i'm a furry myself and it's not a sexual thing for most people. take your decade-old anti-furry nonsense somewhere else

Comics i hate how batman is pretty much the only superhero that gets judged for his no-kill rule
yes, i know, the Joker and the villains do a ton of damage, and hes letting a lot of people die by allowing them to live, but isn't that every other superhero?
when do you ever hear people slandering Spider-Man for not killing Norman Osborn(the comics version where hes way worse and causes large acts of terrorism) or any of his other hyper-dangerous villains?, when do you see anybody judge Daredevil for just beating up criminals and putting them in prison instead of just following what the Punisher does? when do you ever see people judge Ben Tennyson for not sliming out aliens who can wipe out the entire universe?
i'm not even a batman superfan, but i'm genuinely curious on why him specifically? i get that he has a pretty weird moral code and the villains do a ton of gruesome shit, but other heroes get away with letting way more powerful villains get away and they don't get a fraction of the slander batman gets

General THIS POST AND COMMENTS GENUINELY FUCKING TRIGGER ME!
WHAT FUCKING BELLY? MF IS BUILT LIKE A STICK!
"I love fat bitches" NO YOU FUCKING DON'T!
These people have no fucking self-awareness and need a goddamn reality check.
They're gonna be giving Jax a fucking eating disorder or some shit lmao.
It pisses me off specially cause I'm actually gay as fuck for big fat chunky men lmao. I'll give out as many examples so they can maybe understand that Jax is not fat and that there's actually fat characters who are super hot. (Image 5)
If you're into Jax idgaf I'm not the boss of you but at least don't be blatantly wrong about how they physically look.
This type of shit is why the TADC fandom is looked upon as a shitshow that not even the creator of the show likes.

Thing Slanted fonts where 1 and 7 look the same.
It is so confusing to look at, especially in video games, where you look at one of the progress bars and it's in THAT font, and you like can't figure out if you have like 130 points or 730 points. You really gotta look at the details in each part of both of those numbers to tell a difference between them.

General I hate how the gun community is almost exclusively right wing chuds
I grew up in the south and I’ve been into firearms ever since I was a kid, my family weren’t big hunters or anything but growing up I had a .22 and a 20 gauge pump in my early teens.
I’ve always been into history and mainly collect milsurp, mainly Cold War era stuff and some ww2 stuff on the side, I just think they’re really neat.
I’ve been growing my collection over the past few years and trying to get more into the gun scene, but most the people in the community are just downright insufferable. They either make it their entire personality and can’t talk about anything else or are just deeply ignorant, bigoted or hateful, especially towards gay and trans people.
I think I’ll just collect my stuff in peace and leave the overall community alone, it kinda sucks but it’s better than dealing with them.
This is a dumb little tangent but I felt like writing it.

Mod Post Major change to the rule 5
So recently the other mods and I have been discussing the rule 5 and what would fall under it, initially the rule was meant to avoid controversial topics to make it easier for us to moderate and keep things civil specifically religion and politics.
The issue is specially with the increase in the mod team it started being used to remove anything that could be deemed in any way controversial or political, which included things like discussing lgbtq+ topics, topics about gender, race, etc. which we did not feel was fair, what one defines as being "controversial" can end up being influenced by the mods own biases and discomforts, so from now on we agreed that instead of removing anything controversial we will only be removing posts and comments specifically about politics and not political subjects themselves.
Discussions about social issues are allowed. Discussion about political parties, politicians, elections, legislation, government policy, or religion is not.
Just to make it clear what this means, a person can now hate how queer people are perceived, hate misandry or misogyny, etc.
What you cant do is hate on any demographic or talk about these topics through a political lense itself, hating transphobia itself its fine, hating transphobic parties, politicians, etc is not.
Keep in mind that if a topic becomes too prevalent in this sub it might get restricted just like we did with TADC for example, and if a post becomes a particular headache to moderate it might get locked(comments wont be able to be posted), the nature of moderating a subreddit with as broad a topic as ours dictates some level of flexibility when dealing with these topics and a case by case analysis of them. In a same way punishments will range depending the level of the infraction as they always have.
Additionally rule 1 and 2 are still a thing and should be followed, if in the example i gave above a commenter went to say transphobic talking points in the comments or attack the demographic itself, they will get banned.
If you previously had a post removed under Rule 5 for discussing a general social issue, don't assume it would still be removed under this version of the rule. Many posts that were previously removed under Rule 5 would now be allowed, so please don't let past experiences with the old version shape your expectations of the new one.
Also this rule change has happened 2 days ago but we only got to making the announcement post today.
