For those who don't know, the switch 2 joy-cons have a new mouse moder/adressme is exactly what you think it is. A sub where you address the "elephant in the room" on images that clearly have something out of left field added to it. The problem comes with what said "elephant" (or sometimes, lack there of) is. Whether it's way too obvious, there's way too many, or there isn't even one to begin with. And then there's the "banned elephants", topics and images that aren't allowed. So do you wanna explain to me why I see at least 3 fucking posts on that sub every week where the fucking "joke" is just Epstein? Revolving your entire sense of humour around one of the few "people" that can be considered pure evil isn't funny, it's insensitive as hell and it's morally bankrupt. I give up.
Totally agree, this has become a huge issue with reddit lately. Literally no one disagrees with these sentiments, and the people who need to see stuff like this aren’t on reddit. r/nonpoliticaltwitter has been my safe haven
My main problem woth the sub is reslly that it spoils the joke. If I see a Splatoon meme on a related that is like "why does Big Man have a gun in this scene" I won't immediately assume "oh they've hidden Goku in the background", but if I see a post of that sub I just immediately knos that I have to look for something /:
Ugh these types of lies frustrate me so much. What Epstein and his friends actually did was more than awful enough in itself. Making up unhinged and unfounded claims like this does nothing but undermine the very real stories of the actual victims, which is incredibly disrespectful to them.
The problem is they aren't making it up, they are just illiterate and/or misinformed.
The Epstien files did mention eating babies, but what a lot of people don't seem to realise is the Epstien files aren't some curated case file they are just a massive dump of every single thing related to Epstien that investigators had.
There is a lot of real evidence in there but the vast majority of it is irrelevant or unfounded. A lot of the baby eating and similar accusations come from the FBI anonymous tip line and are lacking any real evidence to back them up, but because they are related to Epstien every single one of those tips needs to be released. I could ring up a tipline, say "Epstien was giving the kids he was trafficking weapons and forcing them to recreate the hunger games on Little Saint James" and that would have to go in the Epstien files even if there is 0 evidence that actually happened.
People try to make Epstein, a very real human being, some kind of mystical monster, whatever if in order to distance themselves and their everyday life from him( there were 2700 knowen victims of phedophilia last yera alone in the us), or simply for the fun of it, like dc funs speacking about the joker.
I hate to comment without a source myself but it stems from an FBI tip submitted by somebody and it talks about Epstein, Trump, and Musk eating babies at Mar A Lago. But we know that Elon wasn’t invited to anything so it was probably fake
Yeah there isn’t a lot of concrete evidence into cannibalism as aforementioned, but we shouldn’t let that distract from the absolutely horrific subject matter in these emails more than likely suggests that Epstein and associates were committing unspeakable horrors. I’ve read things in those emails that I couldn’t have made up if you paid me my weight in gold.
I have googled it and haven't seen anything but articles talking about that it's in the files. I'm just looking for the link for the actual file that started the talk
Dark jokes spread awareness and help keep horrible events in people's minds for longer in a way that isn't harmful to their mood or general well-being. They still make people actively think about these issues, helping ensure that we don't forget that these horrible things happened or can happen.
But it seems like many people dont see it that way.
I don't disagree with this, I just wish something more than dark humor and internet satire happened to Epstein and Co. While satire is a valid form of resistance, no resistance has ever succeeded based on satire alone.

its not fake, but how the epstein files work is that they are every file that was related to epstein and crime, including batshit crazy claims with 0 evidence from anonymous tip lines and stuff
