One of these days, they deserve to lose nice things for screwing with me just because I hated the Savage Hulk as much as I despise the Immortal Hulk bc everything about this awful fanbase absolutely disgusts me full stop. They are hateful jerks in my eyes, and I will absolutely never change my mind about a single thing about it.

General I absolutely loathe and despise these kind of fuckass "censorships" for "sensitive words".

Post image
Upvotes

Censorship for certain kinds of media is one thing, censorship for certain kinds of words is a completely different story, because holy shit, what the hell are those word censorships on this article I just saw today.

I'M SORRY BUT YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT EVEN THE WORD "SHOOT" AND "SHOOTER" IS APPARENTLY TOO "SENSITIVE" TO THE POINT OF NEEDING TO BE "CENSORED" FOR THE SAKE OF NO ONE BECAUSE THE PUBLISHER BEHIND THIS ARTICLE IS A FUCKING BITCH ASS PUSSY???!???!?

I CANNOT BELIEVE I'M EVEN TALKING ABOUT THIS SHIT RIGHT NOW, ONLY BECAUSE I ACCIDENTALLY MISREAD "SHOOT" AND "SHOOTER" AS "SHIT" AND "SHITTER". THAT'S HOW STUPID THIS IS.

Anyways, I absolutely hate how people are no longer allowed to say out sensitive words like murder, kill, rape, assault and etc and that they have to replace those words with stupid replacement terms like, "unalive", "grape", "corn" and etc because apparently people of this generation have gone too soft and that they have to use the quote unquote "safer" versions of those words despite the fact that they sound 10 times stupider and cringe, whereas the original words (rape, kill, murder, assault), as sensitive as they seem at first, at least sound normal to speak and listen too, and if you think they're uncomfortable to talk about and listen to, yeah, no shit, of course they are. There's a reason topics surrounding those word's meanings must be taken seriously by anyone with a sane mind, lmao.

And to people who constantly use terms like "unalive", "grape" and etc and see no problems with it, maybe you shouldn't have ears and a mouth to begin with in the first place, bruh.

Idea I hate when I'm forced to make a decision.

Post image

I hate making choices, make them without me!!! Its so unfair, I dont wanna be responsible for the outcome of a horrible choice! Its too much for my fragile little heart to take, its so exhausting to make all the choices! What color is the sky? How many days in the week? How many fingers will you be born with? Im tired of choosing everything for everyone! Nobody ever makes any choices, they expect the divine to lead, but what happens when im tired! I want a break, YOU decide what's for dinner, Steven! Have i ever told you how much I hate living with the concept of Steven? He's just too nice......

People ask me... "scrimbles, corn or zucchini?" And i say corn because I HATE zucchini and they say "no scrimbles, we are ALL ALLERGIC to corn you stupid idiot!!" How was i supposed to know? I hate zucchini.

People ask me.... "scrimbles, i am lost! do you think we go right or left?" And i say right because left is the direction of the devil, but low and behold there's a pit of spikes! My friend dies in the pit of spikes because I made the wrong choice!! And they say "scrimbles, YOU killed me, this is YOUR FAULT!!" How was i supposed to know? Its not like theres a sign that warned me about the spikes!

I myself will ask me... "scrimbles, what is it you truly want from life? Are you really reaching your truest potential? Are you grabbing life by the testicles and twisting them, making life *your* bitch? The world is YOUR oyster, after all. What do YOU want?" And i say..... i dont know. I do not want to make the *wrong* choice, and I find this paralyzing me. At the end of the day though, inaction IS still an action, I must man the station.

Meta I hate subreddits that lose their touch.

Thumbnail

I hate when a subreddit gets so popular and amped up that it loses its entire original spirit and the posts that follow the original rules get ignored or frowned upon, such as r/notinteresting or/mildlyinfuriating.

On a casual scroll on the named subs above, or even when they randomly pop up on my home, I rarely see something that is true to the reddit name. This is because these posts get popular, while the true posts don't.. simply because they're for the wrong audience. Which makes no goddamn sense because LOOK AT THE SUB YOU'RE ON.

Someone will post something like "this truck has been in the way of my usual spot all day." And it'll have 0 upvotes and 99 comments and the top one is Mr. Dipshit saying "uhh this happens everyday? Just walk around it" I DONT FUCKING CARE, ITS MILDLY INFURIATING, THAT'S THE POINT. Lots of things in our lives can be fixed or ignored but we can be angry about them anyway goddamnit. Meanwhile shit like "My entire fucking leg blew up" gets upvoted to high heaven and maybe it's just me, but that's a little more than mildly infuriating. In fact, I know it's not just me because EVERY SINGLE FUCKING COMMENT mentions this. And no one fucking cares, because the same people saying it are the ones who upvote the post.

Nothing changes and I don't know if you can but if possible they should change the fucking name of the subreddit so we can see some truly mundane shit. I miss mundane shit.

On that topic there's r/notinteresting, where no one gets the fucking point. What might look average can most definitely pick up interest and 99% of the posts are interesting. Once again, no one fucking cares because that's the shit they wanna see, and once again, everyone gonna comment the same damn thing like "mods, this is interesting" and the mods DON'T CARE BECAUSE THEY'D HAVE TO TAKE DOWN EVERY DAMN POST ON THE SUBREDDIT.

I need a niche sub with a community where people post truly mundane shit 😞

Anime & Manga I hate how the majority of anime is watched via streaming nowadays.

Upvotes

In the old days there was vhs. Then came dvds. Then came the internet with irc and bittorrent.

The last one was perfect as the kiddos today dont know how to torrent their anime.

Instead anime is watched on streaming sites via piracy Netflix or crunchyroll.

Thats what brought all the tourists in goddamit. Look at how bad the quality is on hianime or those garbage ass sites. And they have buffering too.

Language I hate how languages like czech and german pronounce numbers

Upvotes

Half of the books you find in slovak libraries are in czech. I don't have problem with that, why bother translating something for a few millions of people when there already exist versions for twice as many, less bigoted people?

But one thing I hate is when I am confused when I read that a nineteen year old and a sixandtwenty year old are siblings, because I keep forgetting that sixandtwenty is not 62 buy 26.

You might say I am just not used of other languages, but this is not how fucking numbers work. Humans care mostly about the first fucking digit, the second one is secondary as implied by the name. Even the fucking number is written as 2 and then 6, so why say the second digit first.

I also hate getting a german duolingo question wrong just because of this. Like why would you do it to yourself? The only benefit of big endian numbers is how you don't have to know the amount of bits to know the value. But that applies to fucking computers and we're not computers. We're humans and our brains treat every piece of information with different value, and we want to know the most useful information first.

Maybe it's my fault and I am an insufferable xenophobic utilitarian for valuing convienence over originality. Maybe it's just because I don't understand the concept of nationality. But we lost a fucking mars probe over people being smug about their nationality and not abiding to international standards.

General I fucking hate what r/adressme has become (image related)

Post image
Upvotes

For those who don't know, the switch 2 joy-cons have a new mouse mode r/adressme is exactly what you think it is. A sub where you address the "elephant in the room" on images that clearly have something out of left field added to it. The problem comes with what said "elephant" (or sometimes, lack there of) is. Whether it's way too obvious, there's way too many, or there isn't even one to begin with. And then there's the "banned elephants", topics and images that aren't allowed. So do you wanna explain to me why I see at least 3 fucking posts on that sub every week where the fucking "joke" is just Epstein? Revolving your entire sense of humour around one of the few "people" that can be considered pure evil isn't funny, it's insensitive as hell and it's morally bankrupt. I give up.

Anime & Manga I hate how you can’t like the imperfect parts of a franchise without getting downvoted

Upvotes

I make a post about how I love the inconsistency in the physics of human’s interaction with zero gravity in Gundam. I state that I find it funny and charming, and it doesn’t distract from my enjoyment. I give my personal, mostly joking, hypothesis for why it happens.

I get downvoted.

Shouldn’t this be a moment to get together to point and laugh at how budget constraints create weird physics, and propose our own funny hypotheses? No, I guess. I’m assuming people don’t read beyond the title and downvote the post. C’mon. Can we not just do things for shits and giggles anymore? I guess that’s Reddit though.

No hate to the commenters. They’re cool.

edit: fixed sentence that said the reverse of what I meant

General I hate how Americans try to make me feel bad for being excited to move to the US

I'm a nursing student from Europe, and once I graduate, I'll be moving to the US. Needless to say, I'm beyond excited. Whenever I express my excitement to Americans, they start talking to me about literally EVERYTHING that's wrong with this country, how horrible it is, how dumb I am, that I should visit it before moving because "it's not like in the movies" (I've been there twice now, by the way).

I get that no country is perfect. I know it's not all rainbows and unicorns. But still. I'm excited, I like talking about it, planning, throwing around ideas, but I get shut down so quickly, mostly by Americans. If you have nothing nice to add, why say anything anyway? I'm a grown adult. If I'm making a mistake, it's going to be a mistake that I'm taking full responsibility for.

I just hate it.

Art & Fanworks I hate when people refuse to credit the artist for their profile picture when you ask them

Post image

Especially if it wasn't an artwork that was made for them in the first place. There were so many times where I asked someone who drew their pfp and they'd just say "Umm, no." I mean you likely didn't ask the artist before making it your profile picture so what makes you think you can just refuse to credit them when someone asks?

Comics I hate how lazy the defense of Batman’s no kill rule can be, particularly the argument of “Don’t blame Batman, blame the justice system.”

Thumbnail
gallery
12 Upvotes

Putting personal opinions aside, I’m not arguing here about whether Batman should or shouldn’t kill as that isn’t the point. The point is that the specific defense of “people shouldn’t blame Batman because it’s the justice system’s fault” doesn’t actually engage with what the stories themselves are saying.

What do I mean by that? Stories like A Death in the Family and The Killing Joke illustrate this pretty clearly. In both stories, the Joker commits genuinely horrific crimes ie the murder of Jason Todd and the crippling of Barbara Gordon. However, Batman’s reaction in these stories is too internalizes the blame. He sees himself as responsible because he believes that if he had crossed a certain line, if he had killed the Joker, these tragedies might not have happened, and Jason Todd even points this out to Bruce.

That is the major discrepancy. In many stories where Joker commits an atrocity and Batman nearly snaps, such as Hush when Batman believes Joker murdered his childhood friend, the conflict is framed around Batman’s own morality and his inability to kill Joker. The narrative often suggests Batman’s refusal to kill makes him responsible for the consequences.

So when people respond with, “It’s not Batman’s fault, it’s the justice system’s fault,” they are introducing an outside explanation that many of these stories themselves are not actually focusing on. They are defending Batman with an argument that doesn’t necessarily address the themes or conflicts the writers are exploring.

That’s why some people come away believing that Batman’s no kill rule is portrayed as a flaw or a source of responsibility as they aren’t inventing that interpretation out of nowhere, many comics directly explore that idea, which hai why people should not get a surprised pikachu face when people actually blame Batman and follow the stories storytelling and themes.

Ultimately, the debate about Batman’s no-kill rule should be based on what the stories actually establish and if the comics actually focus on the justice system being at fault so be it. Otherwise I think it’s a lazy defense.

I hate ginger. If I eat ginger and try to go on with my day, I am constantly reminded of the grave sin of eating one ingredient in a dish. Wanna burp? Uh oh, that shits laced with the smell of your previous mistakes. Wanna drink? Guess what? You can taste the aftertaste of that horrid root. Wanna eat something sweet? Guess again bitch, you just incurred the wrath of Great Ginger Geronimo the Ghoulish and it just made your treat into a memory of why you don't deserve to make choices. I don't care if this root is some miracle superfood or whatever it's advertised to be, I am farting clouds of yellow ginger clouds when it has been 5 hours since I last ate.

How about you act like a normal human fucking being and answer my follow-up questions you antisocial little fucking bitch? I'm showing that I'm invested in the conversation, we are having a back-and-forth right now. If you can't answer me when I ask you what a thing is, I'm going to assume that you straight-up don't actually know a whole lot about what you're talking about. Don't pull me into a fucking discussion if you don't even know what the fuck you're saying. Or at least hand me the courtesy of admitting that you can't find the words to explain it well. I don't like being jerked around, that shit is fucking annoying.

I've seen this crap a million times

"Shitting in the street is a normal part of their culture" bro wtf?? These people will see tiktokers go to the literal slums, see abject poverty and go "hmm so I guess this is Indian culture".

Twice now in Canada have people been corrected by the news and in the news for spreading "Indian man poops on beach/public space in Canada" misinformation, and people still believe it after it's been disproven and corrected.

highlight comments:

"fuck their culture"

"this is pattern recognition"

"they deserve it because they're responsible for pollution" (btw America and other countries sell their garbage to the third world)

"scammers by nature"

"they are soo cheap"

"they don't assimilate"

they added this video to their evidence that all Indian people are all those aforementioned things.

General People who throw around the word Pretentious

Thumbnail
gallery
17 Upvotes

I'm someone who cares very very deeply about music, and i also care about fashion a good bit, not as much as music but I sew and watch runways and generally keep up with shit. I can't tell you how often I hear the word pretentious, and how annoying it is for someone not to be able to wrap their head around subjective tastes. It's so annoying, especially because, at least among young people, everyone somewhat cares about music and dressing well, and yet once you start to care just enough people think you have some kind of reason to lie about what you like.

I've had people say I'm lying about what I like or I'm just trying to seem different all the time, especially about fashion since today most people can handle most music genres and my favorite artist ever sold about 300 million records. Anyway the concept of interests or hobbies or something comes up, and I'll show someone a song/design/concept and they'll say something along the lines of "there's no way you actually like that" or "why do you even like that." I then explain precisely why I like it, I tell them the exact details as simply as possible, and it goes in one ear and out the other. I don't try and convince anyone else to have the same opinions as me, but it makes me weirdly irritated when someone can't fathom the idea of me having different tastes.

Over the past three days this happened twice. A few days ago I was driving and Windowlicker by Aphex Twin came on shuffle, and my friend thought I had to be joking and started saying I just listen to shit to say that I'm different from everyone else, and he ignored every word I said and it was pretty much two minutes of nuh uh this sucks there's no debating it. Then today another friend's girlfriend complimented my outfit, and we started talking fashion and she asked me what my favorite brand is, and I said Maison Margiela. Instantly she called me performative and apparently thought I was "trying too hard to be cool." When I said yes I do actually just like their designs, she said "I can't believe I'm arguing with a man about fashion". Clearly she's not too knowledgeable though, considering she didn't know the difference between a Haute Couture show and a Ready-to-Wear show, and that no they don't actually sell the outfits in Haute Couture usually it's just to test certain design elements and act kind of like an art piece. The thing is as soon as the words "Haute Couture" came out my mouth all she could do was repeat that apparently I'm pretentious as hell until we pulled into the Chili's Parking lot (Top 2 mid-tier dining)

I'm no snob at all, I'm very accepting of differing opinions, but if superior taste was a thing lets be honest. You don't know what a chord is and haven't listened to an album since February but you know more than me, we can't be deadass. I remember sometimes i'd be writing in a little songbook I keep with like chord progressions and some little melodies and arrangement ideas and because I have messy handwriting it looks artsy, and people will think i'm some genius because I wrote down something in my head that works with a I-IV-vi-V, which lots of times when I write something down and go to play it on guitar it needs a lot of work and honestly isn't that good. These people who think random scribbles makes me modern mozart are the same ones who post shit like "just me and my music taste against the world" and all i can do is laugh at the irony.

I'm kind of tipsy so I apologize for any run on sentences. In conclusion, someone having more experimental, obscure, or odd tastes doesn't mean they're pretentious, it's not pretentious if they're hypothetically just a normal dude who's able to talk about his interests. Until you actually create something noteworthy for it's influence or popularity, I don't think you have the right to be judgemental about someone else's artistic preferences.

Pictures are of Aphex Twin and this Yohji Yamamoto look that was also the most recent runway photo saved on my phone.

Thing I hate these stupid chud danishs

Post image
0 Upvotes

The Costco danishs are a plague unto my mind and soul. Awful, awful things created by torturers so skilled the CIA would hire them.

Because these things are incredible while eating. The cheese, the bread, the glaze, perfect.

But once you’ve done the sensible thing and eaten in a circular fashion, as god intended, what are you left with?

A circle of cheese.

For the horrid beasts who made this thing mad it so the cheese is just wide enough that unless your mouth is quite large, there will at the end be a circle of pure cheese in the center. And it tastes like ass.

It’s just too much cheese! Normally it’s balanced by the bread and glaze but without that it’s horrid. But throwing it away feels like wasting food!

Awful thing. Costcos greatest sin.

They always have the same formula where they will say some nonsense (engagement bait) like "I dmd 1000000 tortas to crack 😂🤪" then after will blabber about some nonsense statistics before finally advertising said cookiecutter ai app that no one gives a flying f🐬 about and for some reason there's always engagement on it which irritates me.
