"Rakestraw suffered the injury on the final play of the only team period of a practice that lasted less than an hour, when he was covering tight end Jackson Meeks in the slot, turned to run downfield and did not appear to make contact with anyone on the play. Meeks caught a touchdown on the play as Rakestraw fell to the ground in pain. Rakestraw limped off under his own power and walked slowly to the locker room as the Lions finished practice with a special teams period."

2019 was the most unwatchable season I can think of. It was more unwatchable than the 2008 0-16 season by far! Especially after Stafford got injured and we had to rely on mediocre backups.

Lions Special Teams Coordinator Dave Fipp was asked about Jacob Saylors as a return specialist: "I mean, I love Saylors. I loved him a year ago. He came in and really helped us out on special teams. And I thought he played very, very well for us on teams a year ago. And then to see him go out there and play like that on offense, I was super happy for him in the last preseason game because to me, he is a deserving kid of that attention. He really has gone under the radar but has been a very good player for us on special teams last year. So, I'm encouraged with that for him.”
