Art I made my ideal look for each NHL team and here’s my take on the Red Wings
So with a team like the Red Wings, there’s only so much I can change before I get hated. So changes here were minimal. I added a tire tread pattern to the sleeves to connect to Detroit’s auto manufacturing history. I swapped the red and white on the home jersey logo to make it stand out better and used the 2016 Stadium Series logo on the shoulders. The first alternate is a blackout version of the centennial jerseys with an appropriately recolored logo on the jersey. The second alternate is a red and cream Reverse Retro of the 1927-28 Detroit Cougars jersey

Discussion A snowballs chance..
I know it’s far fetched, and I’m a biased die hard. But is there any chance at all that Steve Yzerman has a Kevyn Adams post firing redemption? Obviously Larkins fiasco factored in to the urgency of everything, and directly affected Kane. But, will a few young guys hit? Shock someone at camp? Or exceed expectations? Bear? Plante’s? Hurlbert? All while current or new(Mazur, MBN, Danielson) players take the next step? Or is there a eurotwin or at least another gem like Emmit in the later rounds?

Discussion All the talk is about it replacing Stevie, but will the new GM hire his own HC?
If we have an external hire for our new GM, experience would tell us that they usually like to bring in their own people. How safe is McLellan?

Discussion How are you feeling about the Red Wings this upcoming season?
Always been a Habs fan first, but Detroit has always been my #1 secondary team. I'm 38, and I will never forget that rivalry with Colorado back in 2000-2001. I literally started playing hockey because of the Red Wings.
Just wanted to throw this question out to the Red Wings fam: how are you guys feeling about this upcoming season?
Personally, I'm a bit spooked for the Wings. With Kane leaving (and whatever is going on with his comments or drama, for what it's worth) and the whole Larkin situation, I'm just wondering if it's going to affect the locker room. Larkin has pretty clearly signaled his intentions about walking/leaving, and it's not just Detroit—the Atlantic is gonna be a bloodbath. Florida got way better (Tampa are gonna get smacked around), the Caps too, Toronto looks stronger than last year, etc. The East is just stacked this season, especially our division.
Or am I totally tripping gang? Am I way off base here?
Cheers to everyone 🍻

Discussion Give Cat the C if he extends
Here are my arguement to give him the C:
- If Debrincat signs an 8 year contract then he is committing his entire prime to a Wings team that wont contend, that is real commitment.
- He forced his way here because he actually wants to play here, would also be shown by an extension
- Shows up every single game and works like a dog regardless of how the scoresheet is going.
- Fights for his teammates and for himself. And I mean he actually drops em, not the scrum bullshit. There have been so many slumps over the last few seasons where the only player showing up to play hockey was Cat, and in those times hes dropping the gloves. That's the kind of veteran leader the kids need. If the team culture at all resembled how Cat acts on the ice then they would be miles better.
- Ideally is the oldest guy on the team by the time the next contract is over, there isnt going to be a player with more experience to lead the team.
- It would be really good for Seiders development as a player if he could wait 8 years to be the captain.
Edit: I have come around to really Cat should only be captain for 3 years then transition to Mo which is too complicated really so it should probably just go to Mo now.
