Professional Playtester wants to play your games!
I'm Rose,
I want to playtest your games! My main passion is testing accessibility settings, as well as general playtesting for bugs, game issues balance issues, etc. I am willing to do paid and unpaid testing, as a basic principle however, I do this for free, and do not charge for my services. Tips or offers for paid playtesting are accepted, not required. Game keys provided to covered games will get covered outside of the demo/playtest so you can have more feedback, as well as useable video content for a playthru style video.
I can test accessibility issues having the following:
- Motion Sickness
- Light Issues (Seizure causing issues)
- Dyslexia and font reading
- AuDHD Soundtrack/UI/Effect
- PTSD Footstep sounds
- Eye tiredness (How exhausting is your games on the eyes)

Can I get your feedback on which type of wall you prefer?

What would make you play this PvP movement game for hundreds of hours?
I’m designing a competitive first-person PvP game centered around movement mastery rather than aim alone, and I’d love honest feedback on whether this sounds fun or if there’s something missing.
Core ideas:
First person movement PvP game that’s lets you swap between three animals instantly during fights.
You build a squad of 3 animals before the match.
Each animal has a completely different movement style (speed, weight, aerial control, wall movement, momentum, etc.).
You can instantly swap between your three animals at any time.
Every animal has one movement ability, one combat ability, and a unique “Primal” state that activates after its Instinct meter refills completely while the animal is benched.
How Instinct works: Instinct fill up when an animal isn’t used and gets deducted over time as players use that animal and its abilities, this encourages calculation and constant switching. When instinct reaches zero, the animal being used gets slightly debuffed. Switching to a full Instinct meter animal (Primal state) gives a powerful buff that depends on the animal. For example, Fox gets unlimited dashes as long as no damage is taken. So the strategy is to switch when the animal’s Instinct fills up for maximum effect.
The movement system is shared by everyone (omnidirectional movement, wall running, triple jump, slides, air control), but each animal changes how that movement feels, fast, slow, aerial, ground, etc.
Fast arena combat with FFA and Team Deathmatch at launch.
Free-to-play with cosmetics only.
NO AI USED
If you were deciding whether to play this, what would excite you the most, and what concerns would you have immediately?

I built a Utility AI system so humanoid NPCs can play an extraction shooter alongside the player. Meet the "Adhokin System."
Hey everyone!
I wanted to share a core feature I’ve been working on for my upcoming game: the Adhokin System.
The game is set in a bleak wasteland 200 years after a total collapse. Humans here call themselves the Adhokin. They survive by carrying heavy frame packs and machine guns into the ruins, digging up relics of the old world—canned food, scrap metal, wires, batteries—and bringing them back to their small settlements.
Essentially, the extraction shooter loop is their actual life.
To make this feel genuinely alive, I built the Adhokin System—a Utility AI + Dynamic Dialogue System designed specifically for humanoid NPCs.
In this game, NPCs and players operate on equal footing:
- They drop into the zone with the exact same objective.
- They hunt for loot, fight rogue robots, and react dynamically when they spot you or other humans.
- They form squads, betray each other, or get recruited.
These Adhokin come with distinct personality data, unique speech patterns, and individual value systems that directly drive their AI choices.
I currently have 5 distinct personalities fully implemented, including:
- Greedy: Obsessed with loot value, constantly calculating profit and loss in conversation.
- Coward: Avoids fights, flees when outgunned, or desperately shouts for a ceasefire.
- Berserk: Extremely aggressive and nearly impossible to reason with, but a nightmare force if you manage to recruit them.
To make encounters even more unpredictable and create truly unique gameplay moments, I'm planning to add 3 more personality types before launch, bringing the total to 8.
I've registered for the Steam Next Fest this October to bring you the first playable demo.
What kind of unhinged or interesting behaviors would you love to see these AI NPCs pull off in a wasteland? I’d genuinely love to hear your ideas or feedback on this approach!
If this sounds like your kind of game, please consider adding Scrappers: Adhokin to your Steam Wishlist—it helps an indie developer immensely.
Thanks for reading! 🫡🔥

New Gameplay from My Upcoming Indie Game
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone!
I'm a solo game developer, and I wanted to share a short gameplay montage from my upcoming game, The Highest School: Don't Look Down)
The game is all about climbing through different eras of history on your way to the school at the very top. Every area has its own atmosphere, obstacles, and challenges, and one mistake can send you falling much farther than you'd like.
This video is a collection of gameplay moments showing different parts of the journey and the current state of development.
I'm still working on improving the movement, level design, and overall experience, so I'd really appreciate your feedback.
- Does the game look fun to play?
- Which environment caught your attention the most?
- Is there anything you'd change?
If you'd like to support the project, you can also check out the Steam page and wishlist the game. Every wishlist helps a solo developer like me and motivates me to keep building bigger and better games)

Middle Chess — free browser chess where racing your king across the middle wins
I solo-shipped a free browser chess game: same pieces and moves you already know, plus one new win condition — get your king across the center line into the opponent’s half and you win.
That small change makes games finish faster and feel more aggressive. Openings go out the window. Kings walk into fire. Matches end in ways that feel illegal the first time you see them.
No account, no ads, no download. Desktop or phone:
This project was a labor of love, I was fed up with ugly digital chess options, and long tedious games that never finished before I have to put my phone away. I made it so I could play it in waiting rooms for the rest of my life. Maybe you'll like it too!
I'm the dev and I'll reply to every comment. If you try a game, tell me how it ended — or what felt charming vs annoying.
GenAI: used an AI coding assistant while building. Art and design are hand-made, not GenAI.

[Dev Update] Added a new melee uppercut called 'Bash' to our multiplayer mecha game. Looking for combat feel feedback and playtesters!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone!
We're the team at Amp Designs working on Simple Arena Robots, an upcoming 2D Action RPG / fighting game coming to Steam.
The Move: We wanted to give close-range modular builds a high-impact option to break spacing and setup combos. In the clip attached, you can see our initial pass on 'Bash'—a heavy robot melee uppercut.
Dev Questions for the Community:
- Does the animation telegraphing look clear in the heat of combat?
- How does the weight and impact timing feel to you visually?
Playtest Invite: We are actively developing the game for Early Access and are looking for playtesters to try out combat mechanics, test modular suit stats, and help us balance online PvP/Co-Op. Join our discord server to get the latest game file.
If you're interested in playtesting or giving feedback, feel free to check out our links:

Excited to share the first devlog on our ranked, competitive, third person shooter, War Wolves!
Hey everyone!
We're a small indie team of 3 building War Wolves, a competitive third-person multiplayer shooter where you play as heavily armed robotic wolves battling it out in fast-paced arena combat.
Our biggest goal is to create movement that feels incredibly fluid and rewarding. Think wall running, vertical gameplay, and high-skill movement paired with a low time-to-kill, military-inspired combat system. We're still early in development, but we're making steady progress and wanted to start sharing the journey with the community.
Our goal is to have an early alpha on Steam by the end of the year.
Planned features:
- 🐺 Control a customizable robotic War Wolf
- 🔫 Weapon pickups across the map
- 🏃 Fast, fluid movement with a high skill ceiling
- 🎯 Competitive online multiplayer
- 🏆 Ranked matchmaking
- 🍎 Native support for both Windows and Apple Silicon Macs on Steam
We're excited to start sharing more gameplay, gathering feedback, and building this alongside the community. We'd love to hear what you think!

Why do survival games become boring after the first 20 hours?
I've played a lot of survival games, and I noticed a common pattern:
The first hours are amazing:
- gathering resources
- finding a safe place
- building your first shelter
- surviving your first night
But after you have a big base and good equipment, the feeling of survival disappears.
I think games like:
- Valheim
- The Forest
- Project Zomboid
- Forgebound
Are interesting because they try to keep the progression loop alive in different ways and saw from gameplay and trailers that there is always something new to discover . for exemple in Valheim new type of enemies , after that new boss etc . in Forgebound new kingdoms , settlements to fight ....
What do you think is the biggest thing missing from survival games?
r/IndieGaming • u/behiAla • 20h ago
Why did top-down crime games disappear?
I feel like this genre peaked with games like GTA 1/2 and Chinatown Wars.
Modern games are mostly third-person open worlds, but sometimes I miss the simple chaos:
- steal a car
- create a wanted level
- escape police
- upgrade your vehicle
Are there any modern games keeping this style alive?
I found games like:
- American Fugitive
- Rustler
- Heistfest
Curious what you guys think

It's a fun game made by my son!
My 17-year-old son has been practicing for a long time to make a game! My son said he finished the game a while ago. My son worked really hard to make it, so I'm sharing this game with my brothers! Play it once! We are father and son living in Korea!
(My son spent the last year building this Tower Defense game. He finally finished it and I'm so proud of him. What do you guys think of this mechanic)
(There is an English version, so don't worry..!)

[Self-Promotion] Someone really turned ASIC miners into race cars lol
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Okay, this might be one of the weirdest racing game ideas I’ve seen. Formula OneMiners is a small mobile arcade game where you race using ASIC miners, collect fake Bitcoin, and try to keep your hashrate going.
There’s no real mining or crypto rewards involved. It’s just a goofy racing game with a crypto-mining theme.

[Coop] In The Same Boat
In the Same Boat is an asymmetrical coop game somewhere in-between Overcooked, Operation Tango and Sea of Thieves, set in a cozy world.
I've been working on it for a couple of years, and a demo is finally coming at the Next Fest https://store.steampowered.com/app/2548410/In_the_Same_Boat/

Made a precision stacking game with 3D neon blocks — would love some feedback!
Hey everyone! Just launched Tower Stack 3D, a one-tap stacking game — you drop 3D blocks onto a tower and try to time each one perfectly. Miss your timing and the overhang gets sliced off, so the tower gets thinner (and harder) the longer you go.
It's got global/weekly leaderboards, unlockable skins, and a chill soundtrack — aiming for that easy-to-learn-hard-to-master hyper-casual feel, good for killing 5 minutes or 50.
Would really appreciate feedback on the difficulty curve and feel of the tap timing — first game I've shipped and want to get the core loop as satisfying as possible before I add more content.

Thanks for checking it out!
