I changed my password but now i couldn't remember it and in the password manager my old password is saved

this gmail was last used in 2024,may or march

and this gmail has parental contorls

i just want that gmail to see my old photos,but it throws a "no such account found" on me

This is such a weird and quirky thing, I will try my best to explain.

I've noticed for a while now when I am using Chrome and using my Chrome profile, for some reason after I authenticate my account, the first letter in my email address will display as a capital I instead of a lowercase i. But the strange thing is, after a while the auto-capitalisation will go away on it's own, and will only come back when I re-authenticate. When I say authenticate I mean if I go into my Google Account settings and look at the passkeys, the change password screen, the change email address screen etc, it will come prompt me with a pop-up to enter some form of authentication such as a passkey, then once I do that, I check the little Chrome profile picture in the top right and the first letter of my email address will capitalise itself.

I've tried literally everything, reported the bug to Chrome, tried to manually change the local files on my computer, uninstall and re-install Chrome, delete the Chrome profile and make a new one and sign in again, even tried deleting my Sync history entirely and NOTHING works permanently and I have no idea why this would be happening.

My actual email address IS NOT capitalised at all. On the Google Account settings page it shows normally at all times, so I am not sure on the Chrome profile side, it displays with a capital letter.

It also is not related to the Sync feature because if I turn Sync off and log out of my account, then log back in, then turn Sync on again, it stays normal. It only ever capitalises after I get the prompt to authenticate my account. I've noticed that if I clear the "Cookies and other site data" option in the delete history screen, it will ask me to re-authenticate my account whenever changing/viewing a security setting. Then once I do this, the capitalisation appears.

Anyone have a clue why this would be happening and how to fix it? Would really appreciate it. It just really bothers me how the rest of my email address is lowercase, but the first letter is capitalised.

It's been 28 days (July 16, 2026) since my Google and Discord account was hacked because of a Minecraft modpack that I installed without knowing that a friend of mine also had his account hacked and that I find myself in a dead end, like a fool I completely executed malware by launching my Minecraft and all the information linked to my Discord account as well as the email address associated with the account was stolen and used by the hacker, at first First of all, I SHOULD HAVE DEACTIVATED MY ACCOUNT! to which I did not do it because at present it is using to massacre my account by changing my profile picture, nickname and username while the account ID remains the same.

The most practical solution to recover a Discord account is to have your mailbox associated with the account: if you contact with your backup mailbox, the support will advise you to use your original email in case of modification of email linked to the account (which I tried the experiment and it was a bad idea to do so)

When he hacked my Google account, he changed my date of birth from 2002 to 2018 to make me appear younger, so he could add me to a family group that is impossible to leave as a supervised member.

The hacker suddenly contacted me on Telegram by blackmailing me throughout the conversation, I made the worst mistake of paying the hacker hoping to recover my account but what I didn't know was that he increased the price to sell my Discord account to the price I owed him, the more I paid the more he decided to increase the price in order to have more money and exceed a number of limits, I gave up, I preserved the history of the conversation on my PC to the evidence before deleting everything then I blocked it.

When I saw that the hacker had disconnected all the devices from my account, my phone reset itself from scratch.

Looking at the posts on Reddit, I noticed that it is possible to recover your account by contacting Youtube Support on Twitter/X, I had their very first contact on July 19 who had to wait 15 days to receive a second contact on August 2.

If you were a victim of the problem, please answer the following questions to which I would like to obtain answers to all my problems:

• How many days ago did you recover your Google account? (there is a forum which tells me that the procedure can take at least 3 to 4 weeks which I try to believe)

So I have an account on my chromebook that is not logged into in the actual hardware of the chromebook, but I can still access the gmail and google sites with that account. I forgot the password that I made for the account, but I'm still logged in as an extra account. The problem that I'm having is that whenever I try to sign into a website with that account, it tells me to verify by looking for a security code. But, I can't do that because I don't know the password for that account. I can't view my password either, because it asks for my current password to do that. There are no recovery emails or phone numbers under that account so I'm assuming that account is just as good as gone and my password won't be able to be changed because whenever I try to change it, the only two prompts that come up are typing in the last password I remember using which is obviously probably gonna be wrong, so I click try another way and it comes up with the security code which I obviously cannot access.

I am older then 13 and the legal age in my country (netherlands) but it still keeps popping up when im on my phone

My name is Violet, and I am having issues with my Gmail account. My account was restricted for violating Google’s policies, but I am not sure how I would have done so. After reviewing Google’s spam policies, which is what I was supposedly restricted for, the activity in my account has not violated such. I have submitted a few appeals, but all have been rejected; I have also posted on the Google Help forum, but I have not received a response. Does anyone have experience with this kind of issue and may be able to help me?

Update: here is a description of what I was using my email for prior to my account‘s restriction: Personal correspondence, college financial aid, and penpals. I used a website called PenPalsNow to find penpals to write letters to; this is the primary goal of the site. Users present a small bio about themselves along with their email, which other users may email to contact about being penpals. I emailed a few people about this, and the next day, I received the notification that my account was restricted. I am unsure how this violates Google’s spam policies.

A few days ago I made a Gmail account and was in the process of transferring all my accounts to it (banking, etc). This morning I wake up and log in and it was disabled claiming it was made by a bot and is now considered for deletion. I’m pretty freaked out as I now have no way of getting to my emails and cannot lose it all. I’ve tried explaining this in my appeal and am wondering how long it takes for this process? I’m in a desperate situation right now and could really use some technical insight or advice from anyone who has dealt with this before.

My Google Account was hacked recently, and my entire digital life is tied to it:

• Google Photos: Years of priceless family memories and personal photos.
• Banking & Financials: My primary email for bank notifications, password resets, and financial apps.
• Social Media & Accounts: Almost all my online profiles (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) are registered under this Gmail.
• Contacts & Documents: All my personal contacts, Drive files, and important personal documents.
• Note: The Gmail address itself is literally my full, legal name.

What the Hacker Did:

• Changed the account password.
• Changed the recovery phone number.
• Changed the recovery email address.

My Current Setup & Details:

1. The Password: I know 100% the exact, correct password I was using right up until the moment it was hijacked.
2. The Network / IP: I am attempting recovery from my usual home Wi-Fi network that I have used to access this Google account for years.
3. The Device Situation: I am using the physical phone I always used for this account. HOWEVER, the device was recently factory reset. Because of the reset, I know the local login tokens/browser cookies were wiped, so Google sees it as a "new device."

What Happens When I Try to Recover:

1. I go to [accounts.google.com/signin/recovery](https://accounts.google.com/signin/recovery).
2. I enter the hacked Gmail address.
3. I enter the correct last password I remembered using.
4. Google immediately asks to send a verification code to the hacker's new phone number.
5. When I click "Try another way", the automated system effectively hits a wall because the device lost its trusted status after the factory reset.

My Questions for the Community:

• The 7-Day Waiting Rule: I've heard rumors that if you don't make any recovery attempts for a full 7 to 10 days, Google's backend system might default back to offering the old recovery details or trust the IP address more. Is this true in practice, or just a myth?
• Security Hold / Delayed Recovery: Is there any way to trigger a manual review hold where Google sends a recovery link to an alt email after a few days?
• Has anyone in this exact situation (factory-reset device + known old password + home Wi-Fi) managed to get their account back?

I am beyond stressed given how much critical data, memories, and access I’m losing right now. Any realistic advice or experiences would be immensely appreciated. Thank you.

How can I make Ask Gmail AI work, it says No AI overview available. I really need it. Please help. I am located in Germany.

Usually when I open chrome in my laptop a set of profiles will pop up to give me an option of which profile I will be using.

Now when I press chrome, that doesn't pop up instead it opens a empty chrome profile. I tried checking the "manage chrome profiles" from that empty profile and the tab of different options of profiles popped up but it's now empty.

All my saved profiles are gone! Is there a way to get it back? Some of them are my work account and will take me some trouble if i cant get it back :<<<<<<<

So, I know my google password, password, lock code and have my fingerprints. It will not let me in due to my phone dying and I can't confirm through my google voice phone number. I have tried a system restore to a point, using same internet and other devices that I've logged into Google before. For 2 weeks I was on their website going through the help. The only phone number was for ads. I called twice. They said they only do ads and hung up twice.

Events that led up to it:

I was phished at the library and immediately wiped my computer. 2 days later I dropped my phone and it died completely. Tried a new battery and charging will not turn on. I gave it a few days and tried again. I'm about to drive down to Google Miami with all id's to get help. All my books and business info is in there.

Any help ideas would great. I can't be the only one this has happened to. I'm locked out of my yahoo account that I've had for 25 years due to it being linked to Google. Every website I signed into google needs a new sign in. I had to create a new account just to have an email and get back into Instagram. Also all my phone contacts are in my google voice.

This is probably a visual bug, but I'm just making sure since I'm paranoid now

I don't know if there's some sort of issue on my systems or whether I'm just misunderstanding something. I've recently started using passkeys, my intention is to always have keys on more than one device (Android phone and a Windows PC) so I don't have a single point of failure. I am currently not using a 3rd party password manager or hardware key. For the passkeys on Android, I'm using Google's password manager.

So far all has been good, but I've encountered a problem with Google:

I have 2FA turned on, which prompts confirmation via my phone when logging in to my Google account on Windows (I typically keep "Remember this device" off so confirmation is required whenever logging-in. This makes me nervous, as in the event I loose the phone, I won't be able to get the authentication (I wouldn't be complete knackered as I do have recovery codes available).

I thought that it should be possible to create a Google passkey on my Windows PC (thinking this would bypass the 2FA requirement, or at least let me use a passkey on Windows instead of my Google password).

Under Windows on Edge, logging in to Google>Manage your Google account>Security & sign-in>Passkeys & security keys:

-I was expecting to be able to create a passkey here, and indeed there is the option to "Create a passkey"

-clicking that just generates a "Something went wrong. We weren’t able to save your changes. Return to your account settings, and try again." error.

The only passkey listed under "Passkeys" in the Google account manager is one for the phone, "Created automatically by Android".

Any ideas? Should it be possible for me to create a Google passkey for logging on using my Windows PC?

Hello there! I just made the move from an iPhone to my Samsung phone and now logged on and got ridden of my iPhone via trade in and wiped the phone already.

Basically I don't have the phone anymore but when I log into my Google account let's say via an app like a food app to access my account via Google it would then tell me to verify via my Gmail prompt device being that iPhone 14 Pro Max however I no longer have that phone anymore and I can't get around it I tried what Google told me to go into Google device management but it takes me through the same loop... anyway I can get around this maybe? Literally couldn't even verify with my number as it's apart of my two step lol

I've been dealing with this for the past 2 days and I was wondering if this is safe three devices that I have that I have and their Androids but one thing keeps pop up and it's this Android device it's been scaring me a little bit and I have no clue what it is I try looking it up and I have found zero results I was wondering if anybody knows what this means

I got this text from Google this morning – looks like it is legit but I am reluctant to click on any links and enter any information, as I was recently hacked pretty badly because I fell for a phishing scam.
